I can't wait to see your finished sewing room. I love how frugal you are. It is a testimony to not needing a big space or lot of sewing "things" to start your sewing journey. My sewing room used to be my boys bedroom it is painted with a NASCAR theme, and I just love it. I have such wonderful memories of the boys playing in this room that it makes my heart happy. I recently found out that I will be a grandma in July, and I am excited to sew with and for a little one in the future. Thanks again for your wonderful videos and your time. I look forward to future videos.

Melissa - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Oh my, sewing for little ones is SUCH A JOY! You will love it. 100% agree with you on not needing fancy things for sewing - just start with what you have :) oh, here are some free patterns for babies and my personal examples that I made for my little one - ruclips.net/video/LGybOX1W0FI/видео.html

This is exciting!!! It makes my heart sooo happy to see this. It sounds like precious little Artemis is like her mommy. It’s wonderful you can share this experience with her. Luv it. I mix cans of paint all the time and have had some awesome colours from it. Your idea with the gift wrap tube ladder is genius and I am inspired by your fabric stash and the clever ways you use it. Happy New Year Alisa! I can’t wait to see what’s coming from your fabulous channel. 🥰❤️

I have not been keeping up with your videos as life got crazy. I loved this video though, it was like sitting down and catching up with a friend over tea. I have a very small space to work in for sewing, and I am also working this week on trying to organize it, it is hard when you have to move the machines out and you don’t have a place to leave a WIP out. One day I hope for more dedicated room. I wanted to thank you for your videos this year. You have helped my sewjo to the point that I am taking in work now. I would not have had the confidence to do that without your videos on easy drafting and creative use of items,

Happy New Year to you and your family, Alisa! I love what you have accomplished so far! My only suggestion is : I would raise the hanging fabric rack so that the top roll is at about standing eye level or so. It would be easy to test by temporary knots. Do a test video and analyze after up loading to the computer. I do love the fabrics you have chosen for the display. Stay safe !!

I really need to research design. My husband and I are buying our first home after years of moving around the country. It's a 100 year old home that was updated very basic. I will finally have my own sewing room that will double as a guest room for our rare guests. I won't have to share space with my messy, packrat husband. I am looking forward to designing and decorating my room. What I love about this home is the natural light in all the rooms.

My son was born in Latvia. I stayed in Riga for about a week.
I am with you, things need to be first and foremost useful. Then I (also) like them to be beautiful. Same with clothes -- first and foremost they have to be comfortable, then beautiful.
You've done a wonderful job and you can tell you have a natural/good sense of color. I also stack my rolls in a corner but the paper rolls are in a large decorative popcorn barrel and the sewing rolls are in a large round basket. Even my large rolls of fabric are contained in milk cartons. I really like your wall fabric display. Wondering if you will actually ever use the fabric now or is it made up of scrap fabric?
FYI - mirrors are also good for brightening up dark spaces and when I paint I think do I want the object to pop out or the items in front/around it to pop?
Thanks, I got a LOT of inspirational ideas!

Whaaaaaaaat? Sage, I know you have been watching my channel for quite some time - I recognize your name very well, but I had no idea we have a "Latvian" connection! I love Riga, Lived there 18 years of my life, that city is everything! Have you ever had a chance to visit again? And, 100% agree about what you said re: "useful and then beautiful!".

No, I haven't been able to get back. I love being home with my hands in the soil. I am everything about Mother Earth.
We do have a lot of similar preferences - creativity, recycle/upcycle/reuse, life long learners, hands-on type of gals.
