I just love one system I have whoops small drones covers and big drones. And 4k moonlight. Not like DJI new goggles everytime. Now I need goggles 3 for O4. Can't get air units anymore (really shocked still selling vista (link)
Yup. The intentional lack of cross integration and basically engineered obsolescence is really obnoxious. So much potential to get more customers if they were willing to just make a little less by not pushing and hyper focusing on just the latest newest product every 6-12 months.
At 3:35 he is insinuating that a 2 inch drone is bigger than a 65mm drone. - Can someone explain this? Are they measured using different standards? Or is Bardwell just speaking faster than he can count? (2 inch is approx 50mm)
Im a walksnail guy and not too proud to admit that it feels a bit undercooked. A lot of people in the walksnail community wouldnt even consider DJI purely on their feelings towards the company.
Yes, and that is just stupid! If you are going to sacrifice enjoyment for your hobby, because you don't like the company that produces the best equipment, what sort of a hobby is it?
I have hdzero goggles with a ws vrx and I love it. For my tiny whoops I fly hdzero, and on my 5in I have the avatar pro camera and I can fly around at midnight and see everything just fine. Dji if it’s past dusk you’re not flying, however the o3 is the better camera for sure bc they have the money
If you want better quality, reliability & customer service then it's DJI without any doubt. If you want a headache, but also want to feel good because "it's not DJI", then WS is for you.
Or if you want to fly whoops or 2" in HD go with Walksnail. My 03 naked ultra vtx and camera are 18.3 grams, compared to 8 grams for walksnail. I can also get a Walksnail bnf for $200 cheaper
@@mikeb1596that's the only reason I bought WS Whoops and my Tadpoles are now also WS. but the 1S cam it's far from the quality of the O3, so I like the lightness of the builds looking forward to the day the quality will be better. Also I can relate, quality issue with my Google X are real. Mainboard died, they send me a new one, the good thing in this hobby, most people can do that, but still it's a questionable thing to do, and it still freezes sometimes on startup or randomly...
Walksnail just great all around. Has whoop boards, micro board (suppose to be a lil lighter) and the regular board woth dual or single antenna option HD cam and pro cam fpr very low light
I really like Walksnail can serve everything from my 75 Thinywhoop up to my 5", which DJI cannot. Apart from that I tested Image quality in the goggles on both systems. For me DJI has a slightly better image, but I VERY much like the more stable latency on walksnail for everything other then just cruising. Recorded video of Walksnail lite, Pro and Moonlight kit is not bad. Especially the Moonlight has really good image quality, which I would compare to a thumb pro cam, but gives you the option of 60 fps. I'm still on the Fatshart goggles, which I bought really cheap and which are good enough for me. I have tested the GoggleX as well, but I do not regret my choice up until today. Bugs are indeed a bit anoying, but I haven't found a bug yet which really caused any serious issues, most of them are irrelevant for normal use. And last but not least, I don't like the way DJI acts in the market and that there is no listening to their customers. Walksnail support is excellent. Fast response, good advice and very friendly.
4:34 for the general public not bad but for a drone business dji will literally set you back I’ve bin waiting for 2 months now for the avata and goggles 3 unfortunately was not worth the wait I’ll most like get a walksail
I own the Goggles2 and am switching to walksnail for 2 reasons: micro builds and price. For the price of a 3" hd 03 quad I can get the Avatar X goggles and save $200 on each new quad i buy. Much easier to build micro stealth quads with an 8g camera vtx combo than 18
I saw a side by side comparison of O3 vs. Walksnail Moonlight and they were indistinguishable in video quality and penetration. Walksnail was actually way better in low light. Maybe the reviewer was getting affiliate links and made the whole video with Waksnail AI.. I dunno.
My goggles x have absolutely horrible range. So much I can’t even fly cause I don’t trust the system anywhere. I’ve failsafed in LOS of the drone before several times even after firmware updates and setting changes. Dji literally feels safer to fly for me.
Sounds like you might have a VTX/VRX issue - or interference (maybe try a diff location if you havent?). I had walksnail for a few months and range was great even on 25mw. Even my old analog sounds like it goes farther than your current setup.
@@philihc I run the true rc air mk2 patches with true rc omnis as well and it still doesn’t help really. I found one video that takes apart the goggles and moves some of the wires that overlap and cause signal issues and that seems to help in the video so I’m gunna try it. If it doesn’t I’m honestly gunna sell them cause they are so unusable. I wouldn’t trust flying anything walksnail outside of the tiny whoops and there’s not many of those for WS. I wish I woulda got a nice pair of analogs or the hdzero goggles as a second system. Range isn’t amazing for hdzero either but I shouldn’t have to take shit apart to try to fix a faulty product and it should run better than what I have now with WS.
First. Really. I have Avatar X goggles and I'm quite happy with it. WalkSnail have digital VTX from 75mm whoop to any bigger drones. But someone wants the latest and greatest then DJI got you covered)
I’ve been testing O3 recently, and can confirm it has much better penetration performance and image than any other system.
Walksnail is firmly in good enough territory for me. Really happy with it for the thirty or so packs flown.
I've got DJI & Walksnail they are both the dogs dangles IMO I WONT be moving to O3 tho VTXs too rich for my liking.

DJI serving whatever they like 🙂 Precisely the reason why I went with Walksnail.
4:10 couldn't have explained with a better analogy about DJI🔥

I have walksnail and its fine for short range flight. For good penetration and long range, you need DJI systems for sure
Walksnail just great all around. Has whoop boards, micro board (suppose to be a lil lighter) and the regular board woth dual or single antenna option

*So DJI is the Soup Nazi.*
I hate DJI but they sure make good stuff. I'd suggest the O3 and compatible goggles.
FWIW, I've never used Walksnail.
curious german here, what's a "soup" nazi in english?
@@ferocious_r It's a character from Seinfeld the TV show
A micro unit for tinywhoops from DJI would be key.

You seem to forget vista and link in your opinion on vtx cost. $140 for link wasp or $165 vista nebula pro

I don't quite follow what you mean
So DJI for every quad you can fit it in and Walksnail for everything else.
It's not possible to use DJI goggles with an external Walksnail VRX, right?

And two burned budgetsnails from live beta testing users :)
Simple solution, buy into both!
thanks

Thats the point of the moonlight camera for low light capability. 90% of flyer arnt flying at night so its like giving a dollar to a millionaire.

Maybe connections of the antennas lose? Or a faulty Mainboard. The range isn't as good as my O3s but much better than your description

Just buy both. I like dji for long range, and walksnail for micros.
