HB Toys Wilderness Beluga R-1003: First run with the new Injora Gel Inserts

I ordered the Wilderness Beluga from HB Toys and upgraded it.
Last time I added new rims and the blue Gel Inserts and got a small two hour window of sunshine. So I went to the channel in our town and drove on the stony bank.

So what are you thoughts on the inserts after driving it? Could you tell there was a big difference in the performance or no?

The key's the stiffness. It keeps the tires in shape. That's great, especiall if the car's rolling to a side. They also allow the tires to bite into the obstacles, that's fine too.
Sometimes the Beluga slippes a little bit. This is for two reasons. It still has to be added some more weight to the car. Or the inserts for the lighter cars. This shouldn't be the problem.
Second is the surface. The authorities put a lot of concrete on this bank. I didn't know it before. And there was no time to find a new spot. On my way home after the run the next two week rain periode started.
I'll work on these two things and repeat my test. But all in all the investment's worth.

I really like the Injora silicone inserts. The only problem I is, they are bouncy and can cause a lot of hop with too much wheel speed. Great run video 😎

I love mine I clipped webs on the front for more sag grip up front.
But the added weight and super stiff sidehill best part I thought!
I’d think sidehilling with heavier rigs like that even better.

Thanks Addam. Yes, two hours of sunshine before the next two rainy weeks. This wasn't the last ride. Authorities putted concrete between the stone, which made it slippery. That I hadn't mentioned before. I think the tires like to get some harder stuff to bite.

Das sieht total klasse aus, wenn Du am Wasser über die Steine fährst. Für einen Moment als wenn Du hoch in den Bergen kraxelst. Dein Resultat ist fast wie meins . Auf harten Steinen sehr gute Performance,sobald es weich wird geht aber der Grip verloren. Sonst finde ich die Dinger gut 👍. Viele Grüße und das beste war die Ente 😂

🤣Danke Markus. Die Hauptschuld schiebe ich zunächst dem Beton zwischen den Steinen zu. Entweder brauchen die Reifen was zum Festkrallen oder einfache Fahrbahn. Dazwischen ist es bedenklich. Werde wohl Gewicht auf den Wagen packen und habe hoffentlich nächstes Mal einen besseren Crawlboden😉.

Wo einem die Bereifung und die Inlays an der einen Stelle gut gefallen, ist man an anderer Stelle schon wieder weniger zufrieden. 🤷‍♂😉

Lange Geschichte, hier die Kurzfassung. Ich wusste nicht, daß die die Böschung mit Beton versiegelt hatten. Bei den 2 Stunden Sonne, wollte ich aber auch nicht weiter suchen.
Mein Fazit: entweder Hardcore oder Straße. Dieses dazwischen endet im rumrutschen. Wenn die Sonne wieder scheint, wede ich mir ein härteres Gelände aussuchen.
Kameraführung besser? Habe die Handyhalterung vom TRX auf die Belugafunke gepackt. Könnte noch näher rangehen, aber hatte selbst mit meinen Haix derbe Probleme dort Halt zu finden.

@@RCBirds Ja, an manchen Stellen sah es wie Fahren mit zu hohem Luftdruck in den Reifen aus. 😉
Was die Kameraführung angeht... Nun ja, wie soll ich es formulieren ?!? 🤔😁 An manchen Stellen sah es schon besser aus, aber an den meisten Stellen dachte ich schon: Du siehst das Auto ja schon wieder nur von oben! 😴 Die Geschichte mit dem schlechten Halt im Gelände kenne ich auch. Aber wie bereits beschrieben. Benutze einfach einen Selfiestick. Meinen habe ich mit Klettband an der Funke befestigt und damit kommst Du ohne Bücken tiefer und näher an das Auto ran. 👍

Nope. War auch überrascht, daß die Böschung mit Beton verkleistert und nun ziemlich glatt ist. Hatte nur zwei Stunden Sonne vor den nächsten zwei Wochen Regen. Werde noch mal nach freiliegenden Steinen gucken. Wahrscheinlich brauchen die Reifen richtig was zu beissen oder normale Straße. Dazwischen ist es irgendwie doof. Dir noch ein schönes Wochenende.

Sieht aus als würden die Einlagen gut abstützen. Der Reifen scheint nicht seitlich wegzuknicken.
Sind die Einlagen auf der Lauffläche noch flexibel genug daß der Reifen sich der Oberfläche anpassen kann?
Die fahrt dort am Ufer war auch ganz schön mutig. Das sieht aus als ob es gleich tief ins Wasser geht.

Danke sehr Tom. Deine Beobachtungen sind genau richtig. Die Reifenkombi ist sehr gut, braucht aber was zu tun. Ich wusste nicht, daß die am Kanal Beton zwische die Steine gespritzt haben. Das machte die Sache etwas rutschiger Als geplant.
Die Fahrten am Wasser gehen jeweils zu einem Drittel auf die Konten Brushless-Kombo, konzentrierte Gasfinger und Betablocker-Coolness😁

Ja, sie sind etwas rutschig, dadurch das die Inserts ohne Hindernisse brav in Form bleiben und Irgendjemand auf die glorreiche Idee kam, die Böschung mit Beton zu versiegeln. Hatte mir die Stelle vorher nicht angesehen und nur ein Zeitfenster von 2 regenfreien Stunden. War noch nicht die letzte Fahrt.
Dir noch ein angenwhmes Wochenende.
