What a good looking car! I would have preferred the lighter upholstery too. I love the interior of these cars. Jaguars cars at one time followed Rolls with the timber leather and waft. No other cars on the market do that now, other than Rolls and Bentleys. I bought a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 to just to get some traditional luxury. Today people call luxury any thing that is expensive. But to me, luxury means luxurious, just like this beautiful Rolls. Its not the price, it's not the gadgets, it's the classic style, its the Grace, the Pace and the Space. And please save the word beautiful for cars like this.
Previous owner kept it in pristine condition..Even the engine area still looks close to brand new....👍👍👍👍
I work at Goodwood and can tell you this is the finest modern day Rolls-Royce (IMO)! Made in very small numbers the Coupe. It’s 100% less than a thousand cars. The Phantom VII was built on its own line. They took a long time to assemble and are very very special things indeed. Hope you are enjoying the car. Because they are so rare and have never been officially replaced, this for me is the ultimate modern classic in waiting. The Wraith is a wonderful car but it’s not a Phantom Coupe.

I don't understand the popularity of the piano black wood. I've always preferred burr walnut with a satinwood inlay. It seems to give more definition and lighten the interior.
M Scott I love contrasts, inside and outside classic wood with black and silver for example. Like wheels combined with black paint.Black wheels and black paint, never ever☝️😣
The sound quality of the door closure reminds me of my childhood and the sound of my dads 1979 Mercedes 450sel When a merc was a great 👍 car

YeS those 1970's SEL mercs were amazing cars. My friend still has his in the original mustard colour
I had one that I sold with 365,000 mi on it. The door was as solid as the day it left the factory.
The sound on how the doors close on the old Mercedes was like nothing I’ve seen since in later models the build quality has gone down in my opinion . My uncle used to have a c reg 320 sel with the amg wheels back in the late 80’s. I would still drive that car today. My all time favourite cars are from that era and all German. The 911 , Merc 190 cosworth , e30 M3 , e30 325i , 635 csi , merc 560 sel amg, Audi quatro . I don’t know if it’s the cars I grew up admiring but they just hit the heart strings unlike newer cars. I’d drive anyone of these as a daily driver just so hard to get a good example low mileage as prices are through the roof or they need full restoration.
The Phantom coupe is definitely the best of the Rolls Royce line up. There is one on Autotrader at the moment with black paint, brushed stainless steel bonnet and windscreen surround which simply looks gorgeous, it also comes with the piano black interior.

The only thing I don’t like so much is the way piano black attracts the slightest bit of dust. I had hi-fi floor-standing speakers with piano black fronts and the slightest finger mark or dust particle was annoying lol. Still, polishing the Rolls would certainly not be a chore! I’d polish it first thing in the morning when I woke up, because I’d be sleeping in it the first three or four days ha ha.

It’s much more special than a Wraith. Built in much smaller numbers. They also took longer to build than a Wraith does, really very special cars.

This RR Phantom is art and the best British car ever produced, so far I saw only 14 in London if I‘m not wrong.
By far my favorite car ever.. definitely hope to get the same one day but for me only missing the roof with stars, except it, i love that car since it's been released!
It is an absolutely stunning car, anyone would be more than fortunate to have one, but I must ask, why would you prefer this over the Drophead variant? Just curious. Wouldn't you want that roofless option?
These certainly are quite limited. I live in Chicago and I've seen literally all other modern Rolls Royce models on the road at least once, except for this one. I assume a lot of the people who would've bought the Phantom Coupe decided to opt for the Drophead instead for those sunny days. Essentially the same car but with a removable roof and slightly more exterior noise. A compromise I'm sure most people didn't mind taking.
It takes six mouths to build this car but worth the wait
Black piano wood was the very best choice, that's my favorite also !

Beautiful? There is nothing beautiful about it. It's an ugly brutish box on wheels. An E type Jag is beautiful, a Citroen DS is beautiful but in general Rolls Royces are just overt symbols of power and wealth that lack subtlety of any kind.

Sir, Since 1982 I have owned 29 RR and Bentley motorcars. I just Love the fit and finish craftsmanship and quality of materials used in these rolling works of art. Presently, I own a 2001 RR Seraph Blk/Blk and a virtual Twin to your 2008 Phantom Coupe Blk/Blk only mine has Gray piping. Use your RR in the best of health. This vehicle is so very rare , Classic Rolls Royce like no other. The beautiful styling and proportions is almost sinister in this colour . There will never be another one like this . Driving this car must be a incredible . You must get a lot of attention when you take it out ! Congratulations

The Roller that will never be replaced so like the Mac F1 it will always be the King Coupa RR. LOVE your new car, one I’d never let go and stack on as many miles as possible. The styling is the best over the Sedan and Drophead by a good margin. Factor in the super duper low production numbers and non existent recognition component and you have a massively collectible that will get better with ever year that passes.
This is only my 2nd video watching the channel, both on the luxurious Phantom Coupe...
I drive an 08 S550 which I enjoy...and am enamoured with the pinnacle of automotive achievement, the RR Phantom...
Alas, I am a working class sweat equity S550 owner doing most of my own repairs as a 40 yr something experienced Saturday afternoon mechanic...now 64.
But RitaRenee, she now sits in my garage, once a dream turning a magazine page many years ago...now a reality...hmm.
It's a bit daunting to think I have to up my wealth prodigiously in order to gain entry to this exclusive car, be it sedan, drophead or coupe...
But alas, if I must, we'll see, lol...in the meantime I will enjoy your candid takes on a magnificent work of art...wiping my chin from time to time to clear the drool away...

I think it’s because they wanted to launch the Wraith. And because it was so expensive to make.

Fantastic for sure !! However , Like all car Manufactures It has the same 'stupid ' Window Visor System causing the driver to loose concentration whilst trying to manouver it into his desired position whilst driving (dangerous !! ) plus it stiks out in you face when not in use ;could be in your face in an accident , Come on you car makers Fit ALL WINDOWS with pulldown Blinds and in Expensive cars they could be operated at the touch of a button

I am Bentley driver myself,but Rolls-Royce is for me the ultimate car .
Nice but....chrome around the door and rear quarter window looks odd. But its still OK
Lovely car, I agree about the piano wood and dark leather being the best choices.
Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche driving experiences are not that far off the one that a regular fast car provides.
However, these cars sitting on the edge of automotive luxury provide a completely different experience to any other car. It’s the effortless way in which they transport you surrounded by exquisite materials. It’s a world apart.
This category of cars is probably the only one that leaves me in awe after a ride, even as a passenger.
What’s your view on this Damian? Does a drive with the RR feel more special and away from regular cars than a drive in the TDF?
I think they are both special in their own way whilst offering completely different experiences. Sometimes I’m in the mood for a drive in the Rolls and can’t stand the thought of a feisty Ferrari. And vice versa. I can feel in awe after driving both cars. A Toyota Yaris on the right road, in the right conditions can be far more satisfying than a supercar - it all depends on your mood.
TheCarGuys.TV Thanks for your reply. I guess for me still feels more especial a drive on a RR or similar than on a Supercar, probably because I did more of the latter.
In any case, the coolest thing about the channel - Jason and you - is that despite of the machinery you get to drive, you can still get excited about a Yaris.
