The Cullinan has been widely criticised by the media for its boxy looks. And many question why Rolls-Royce created it in the first place. TheCarGuys aim to find out.
Since they are already Rolls-Royce owners and drivers, there are surely few better-placed to review the Cullinan than these guys. And since they are not beholden to any manufacturers, you know you are going to get the truth.

I agree with Damian. Owning a RR is mostly about ostentatiousness.
There are many reasons to own, say, a Ferrari, but a Mercedes basically does what a RR does without being ridiculously flash.
I think that's why there's an awful lot more negativity in the comments section about this vehicle than there has been about anything else you've featured.
And it's a lot to pay for nausea.

I love it.......and hate it at the same time.
This has suprinsingly grown on me. Thought it looked terrible when announced, but actually quite like it now. One thing I would have changed though would be to have had real dials in the dashboard. Retaining the physical surrounds, but having digital dials looks a bit cheap in my opinion.

The children have flown away from the nest and now My wife and i enjoy the Cullinan and recently enjoyed my 60th birthday in the peak district whilst sitting on the tailgate of the car enjoying a drink, sublime to say the least. a great car.

I am a big fan of the channel and really enjoy how "the guys" communicate their enthusiasm about cars--it's like having friends who own all the cars I ever dreamed about. I can share in the experience without the boorishness or attitude of some youtubers. I particularly like being taken behind the scenes for the Ferrari events and watching them spec their new car(s) A bone to pick, though, I disagree with some of the negative comments about Porsche Boxsters. I own a 981 Boxster and it is a fantastic car in both looks and performance. The quality and interior are very similar to a 911. Yes, it isn't a 911, but it is better in lots of ways and is a proper sports car.

Nice review guys as always. I personally would have the Range Rover Autobiography and would be happy with that and less worried about parking it and leaving it too. The Cullinan us an awful lot of cash flushed away when the competitors are equally capable on / off road and more dynamic. The quality of the Cullinan is faultless and flawless In fairness.
Some people say this car is ugly. Myself I say, ok, it’s not the most gorgeous rolls on the outside, but I say it’s got character in the looks on the outside. If I had the money to get one I’d happily do so 🙂👍.

I could be wrong here but... above 60mph (or whatever) isn't the suspension set up in accordance with the road characteristics of the satnav?

I’m guessing they have sold loads of these around the world where there’s money and as you say it stands out from a Range Rover.

No need for the criticism, if one's got an average £100,000,000 + net worth (and mentioned in the Sunday Times Rich List) they're unlikely to pass on the opportunity to own the RR Cullinan.
Are they going to to care about looks when they're able to afford this sort of opulence?.
Good to see that Rolls Royce has retained its British Heritage and broke new ground in building the Cullinan - BMW deserved full credit for this.
PS : My favourite one is the Ghost!.
It doesn’t photograph well but has a sense of outrageous splendour, I would worry about guiding its bulk along narrow country lanes but maybe the lasers can be adjusted to trim back hedges and vegetation and to help clear any oncoming traffic :-)

You both raise some strong points about the RR brand, who this vehicle is designed for, new segments the Cullinan will attract, and its sales success. Nevertheless, I struggle with this vehicle in many ways - some which you discuss. In the end, I share Chris Harris' view about the SUV and its compromises. For me, the RR Dawn remains the pick of the brand and best reflects the marque's values. As always, keep up the good work.

This is a family car. I do hope they make a smaller one in line with the new Ghost. If they need two sedan cars they definitely need two SUV’s
What was the roll on the corners like? Is it a confident, stable chassis? Would it relieve itself on the approach to a roundabout?

That slightly nauseating floating feeling also happens with our GLS550. We need three rows, but the moment we can go back to two rows I'm never buying another SUV again.

rear view fab ,internally awesome...but from back to the front screen it looks fantastic , then rolls chopped a front end off a phantom and welded it on the front and screwed the whole look of the car... naaa really ? lets the car down a bit … I would love this car to have a face lift that gives it its very own look not a borrowed one from phantom... then its going to be a car of dreams …. if only huh ,,, brilliant review you guys are GREAT ..

A very good review, I am slightly surprised at how positive your experience was. One thing I expected you to highlight, driving on B roads, this cars man market is not the UK. They will sell very well globally in it's uber premium Suv sector.

Nothing much to say ( apart from adding to your count...) BUT - I do hope that you keep this RR forever - it's a Beauty & I like it - remember you two,the times & us change - meaning think about when you can't quite squeeze down into a Ferrari OR climb up OUT of it....THAT'S when
the Cullinan will come into its' TRUE glory !!...going like a rocket,in superb comfort :-))
ETA:....not to forget its Value going UP over time...
RR missed a trick when they put the "close" button high up on the boot lid instead of much lower where a short adult could easily reach it. As a wheelchair user myself, I find this extremely frustrating across the great range of modern cars!

I do Cullinan because most women like and appreciate it. Having said that, it looks like a Rolls and i would have one if i were filthy rich and wanted an SUV.
It’s not a daily driver. I love the back seat, you could have a good kip on it.Thinking about the wraith in the close future.
4 Range Rover drivers probably could not afford the rolls. It needs carbon brakes.

Why would you want carbon brakes on a car capable of going off road? It doesn’t ‘need’ them at all. Ceramic is great for constant heavy braking on a track. But what’s the point on a luxury SUV 😳
