@@adennehy- I did have a loan on a car I bought just before the pandemic. The car was lightly used with only 2000 miles. Paid it off in a few months. It’s blue book value hasn’t dipped at all so I basically have been using a free car for the past year! Thanks global supply chain disruption!

Not in Michigan, the registration alone will be ruinous every year since you pay tax based on the original purchase price when new forever. The old heavy muscle cars beat the roads up all summer doing burnouts and breaking windows with open exhausts and pay next to nothing in road tax besides on fuel purchases. This Rolls will be about 3k a year to get registered in Michigan.
I noticed the umbrella was missing from the door .....and remember it cost 12k to replace the tires.

I also buy 15 year old, low mileage, well maintained, vehicles. I have never been left stranded, the depreciation is nil, most of the stuff has been broke and fixed by then, and the maintenance and repairs going forward, will in no way cost as much as the insurance, depreciation, and payments of a new vehicle. And new doesn't mean no repairs. Lots of newer vehicles are spending a lot of time in the shop. Which is a huge pain, even if you don't have to pay for it under warranty.
