@@lqunchl5306 yes, it even works with lava, some people constantly spam this to get out of lava pool bit by bit when they are trying to save their life in a survival game.
Tip: keep a water bucket in your hotbar. I kid you not the water bucket is one of the most op earlygame things in mc. Falling too far? Place the water under your feet right and you take no dmg (more reliable just place it on the side of the block you're standing on and let it fall then fall with it) Need to get up to a higher place? Keep placing and picking up the water above you and swim through, climbing without blocks. (And if you fall you fall into water most of the time). Gonna die from burn dmg after escaping lava? Place the water under you to stop it early. You can even use it to keep melee mobs away from you by placing it between the two of you.
I lost my world once to using a water bucket on the lava. It was a weird situation where the water, falling gravel and Lava ended up trapping me under the obsidian

In the end, keep chorus fruit on your hotbar. If you fall into the void, eat some chorus quickly and you'll be teleported back to land. Works in all fall scenarios. For the Warden, keep wool on your hotbar. If he starts to spawn in, immediately tower up 20 blocks (aggro range) or 25 blocks (sonic range) or up and away if you hit ceiling. Just make sure to crouch. As effective as pearls, given location.
TIP: NEVER enter any part of a Nether bastion without an immediate way out. Brutes will drop on your head and 2 shot you, even with diamond or netherite armor. Always have an elytra path, nearby tunnel, or platform. Similar with vindicators, but the areas they are in are more predictable and easy to escape from.

i have a good tip after you spawn on your new world take a screen shot or right the cords to your spawn because the spawnpoint always generates even if your far away so its great for iron farms or any farm to be exact
I usually choose a seed with a village next to it, after i get good armour (at least enchanted iron armour) after that i make a raid farm, get a LOT of totems, emeralds and other stuff, i go to the nether, get a bit of nether wart and blaze rods to make potions, get eyes of ender and kill the dragon, get elytra, shulker boxes and thats basically it. Tip: in your hardcore world or really any world TRADE WITH VILLAGERS! it is soo op wth the addition of fletchers and librarians and you can even get your food from a farmer
Best tip I could ever give anyone who plays Minecraft. Tip: As fast as you can get to the nether to get blaze rods, this is then used to cure zombie villagers. More importantly librarian villagers. This is an extremely easy villager to get their trades down to 1 emerald as it’s usually only one curing to get the villagers trades low enough. Then buy bookshelves off the librarian for 1 emerald, break them for books and sell 3 books for 3 emeralds. This makes 2 emerald profit. Easy way to get a great amount of emeralds. This can then also be used to buy golden carrots from the farmer villager. Sustainable source of emeralds, food, xp and can be achieved very early game.
I died in my first world the DAY you released this on stream lmao. Creeper jumpscare, I still feel like it was unavoidable but maybe if I get god reflexes I can use my shield fast enough.
Ancient cities are really good for early game, because you can get op leggins and enchanted golden apples, just with a couple of shears you're good to go for looting one, and if you find a mountain biome you almost always have a deep dark guaranteed.

I'd recommend speedrunning the game on hard mode so you have a better idea of the steps you need to take. Once you get your elytra, build a raid farm asap. Get a bunch of totems and always, ALWAYS play safe after that. Your world truly begins once you have a source of totems and mended gear
Whenever you intend to do something, always think of the worst case scenario and don't do that which you intend to do if it isn't worth it, I have been playing hardcore for years and that's literally the only thing that gets game changing with time, you'll learn to be carefull
It's funny cos i die more when i am careful. Then when i play non hardcore i am never highly careful and i never die. So now i apply that to hardcore play and i am not dying anymore. :v I guess i am weird. :)
Forget just the chest of the ruined portal. I always like to finish it and check what’s on the nether side. You never know when you’ll spawn into a fortress or a bastion or a biome you want to find or a decent amount of nether gold. Then afterwards I like to take the obsidian and crying obsidian. Those are both resources that are very useful for a lot of things, and after a while of exploring and doing that consistently you accumulate a decent bit of it.
One thing I'd like to add is play on low settings or have a good computer. I've lost a lot of hard-core worlds to my computer freezing up and a zombie being nearby or something
BOATS! Every mob will jump into a boat and essentially stop bothering you, and you don't take any fall damage while in a boat. I always bring some for vindicators/endermen.
I left a like and Wattles replaced my feather doona with an emerald slab. Doctors say its gonna be a long recovery, I'm not allowed to move my head and it hurts when I laugh, but at least I can watch more Wattles videos till I can get out of bed again. 100% would recommend.
I remember when I first started my survival world (normal difficulty) I knew pretty much nothing about minecraft apart from watching mr beast gaming videos. I pretty much only made wood tools on my 10 day and only made a bed on my 11th. But thanks to content creators like you I now know much more about minecraft.
With optifine you can turn on dynamic lighting and that makes underwater caving viable early game to gather resources. There are no mobs underwater making it very safe. all you need is food, torches in your off hand and a bunch of door (along with your pick and your axe). That's my hardcore tip for early game. I know it's enabled by a mod but still.
Also my first Hardcore death was a silent creeper skydropping on me in a cave. Always have the subtitles on. And always keep an eye on them. Practice quick 360 turn arounds into shield. It can save your life. Literally, get a shield day 1. Creepers are ridiculously strong in Hardcore
2 things that i would give as tips, USE VILLAGERS. they give you free diamond armor, free diamond tools, you just need to set them up correctly and you have the infinite emerald glitch, enderpearls, bottles of xp, free food, etc its just a very useful feature that only a few players know how broken they are, also elytra is super important incase you are in a bad situation just fly away and your good, trident with riptide combined with wings is another must have, just make sure to land in water cause the game can glitch out and have you take 9999 fall damage that even feather falling IV cant fix. totems are a must have, get both a raid farms and an enderman farm since they have alot of xp and totems
Hardcore tip that is pretty helpful when you have a brewing stand grab a cauldron and throw splash potion of either Ensign damage or the Wither effect arrows in tip the Arrows with these effect and makes the arrows crazy strong and could take out a water mobs really easily just with the regular bow
Hardcore tip - Fish, make two or three rods and fish, it will bring you food, but as well enchanted books, enchanted fishing rods, to get more loot, expensive itens and even horse saddles. Its cheap!
Tip: always carry a water bucket with you where ever you go because it will save your life more times than you can count for the nether always carry a powdered snow bucket with you
My first hardcore world ended after about 2 hours when I got blown up by a creeper because I looked away while scratching my head. Literally, my scalp started itching and a creeper snuck up on me. Second attempt ended after a few days when I got one-shot by an iron golem while trying the pillar trick, I just wanted a few more iron to tide myself over while I got my villager breeder working.
was playing on my hardcore world and i accidentally fell down a mineshaft that i had forgotten i dug as i was falling over a hundred blocks i started dying inside, but somehow i was able to MLG water at the bottom (something i've never been able to do) so that's another good thing to have a water bucket on your hotbar, not just for falling, but if you ever step in lava by mistake (although i've also started bringing a fire resistance potion with me wherever i go, even if i'm not in the nether)
If you're hunting wither skeletons, check subtitles for zombified piglins, because they sometimes merge with wither skeletons, and if, like me, you are unable to block the 10 zombpiglins, you're going to have a bad time.
Tip: when flying with an elytra in close quarters if you use a rocket and you are about to hit a wall, fly up. You will take no damage hitting a ceiling, regardless of how fast you are going

I left a like and Wattles replaced my feather doona with an emerald slab. Doctors say its gonna be a long recovery, I'm not allowed to move my head and it hurts when I laugh, but at least I can watch more Wattles videos till I can get out of bed again. 100% would recommend.
Tip: Remeber 1+1= 11 and you will get straight A+ in math
He's not lying, I got a package of emeralds and a hand written note just for liking the video
Finally seeing potatoes getting the recognition it deserves
Wattles for you feather falling is a must because your always jumping lol
Tip: always back up your world when you go back to your world or when you do something very risky, weather it’s a hardcore or a regular survival world
Can confirm. I dropped a like, and wattles showed up and gave me an automatic raid farm.
keep up the great work wattles!! 🤘🏽💗
Wish I had known that trick with fall damage. Could have saved most of my hardcore world!
Omg I have so many emeralds now and all I had to do was like the video!! Thanks waddled 😀
Put unbreaking and mending on your elytra, and keep an eye on the durability so you don’t drop out of the sky while flying!
It doesn't reset your fall height, it provides seconds of invul.
Tip- fish for free leather boots b4 mountain top mining helps with the snow
Thanks for showing up at my door with a bucket of emeralds. 10/10 will like again.

I’d love to see a hardcore serie wattles
LET'S GO!! HARDCORE SERIES! ❤️😁
thanks for all the emeralds sir wattles!!!!
the emerald for like thing is definetly legit
like the funniest parts of the entire series.
I have been waiting 4 years and I have received ZERO Emeralds 😡.
Wow I can’t believe it, I liked the video and the next day Wadl appeared in my minecraft house and dropped a ton of emeralds on me, it really worked!
Thank u wattles,
Recieved so many totems that now I can get shot by warden infinitely♥️♥️
Hiiiiii Wattles! Love ur vids!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
3:36 ya i needed this before i lost my 97 day hardcore world from falling in the nether 😆
You should play some modded Minecraft hardcore (any mod you're interested in bc it's always amazing to see new creations)
Thanks for all the emeralds, Watts! Very happy I left a like
Thank you for this. I have been planning to start a hardcore for a year now but I keep dying
I'm gonna be in the future suing wattles for many counts of breaking and entering with a 6400 emerald fine
Second attempt ended after a few days when I got one-shot by an iron golem while trying the pillar trick, I just wanted a few more iron to tide myself over while I got my villager breeder working.
was playing on my hardcore world and i accidentally fell down a mineshaft that i had forgotten i dug
as i was falling over a hundred blocks i started dying inside, but somehow i was able to MLG water at the bottom (something i've never been able to do)
so that's another good thing to have a water bucket on your hotbar, not just for falling, but if you ever step in lava by mistake (although i've also started bringing a fire resistance potion with me wherever i go, even if i'm not in the nether)
If you're hunting wither skeletons, check subtitles for zombified piglins, because they sometimes merge with wither skeletons, and if, like me, you are unable to block the 10 zombpiglins, you're going to have a bad time.
