Even thought goat horns don’t serve any practical use, aside from social interactions, I still find it kind of amusing to just use them randomly in my survival world. Maybe I’m just weird lol.
Or get even weirder and play some music disc's and try to use the horns to play with the song. Now THAT'S Grade A, certified, cringeworthy WEIRD! Just remember, when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
Wouldn't it be a sweet feature to be able to link a goat horn up to a horse? So whenever you blow the horn, if the horse is nearby, it will immediately come to you! I spend a fair bit of time tracking down wandering horses now and then lmao
I wish you could put a goat horn in a dispenser and have it play when the dispenser is powered. Imagine hooking up redstone so that a goathorn sounds whenever you enter your base. It'd make a great alarm system too.
Goat horns should be used to misdirect illagers. For instance call off or even start a raid. Maybe empty an illager outpost for looting. Perhaps engage an iron golem. I think there is a lot of potential for illager interaction.
Here's a hard one... What if every Deep Dark City portal can only be activated by one goat horn... So, you'd have to collect all 8 horns to find the right one to activate the portal through sound (which all of the details of the Deep Dark Cities show they're sound-sensitive civilizations).
I could imagine people in multiplayer using these for concerts along with things like amethyst, bells, note blocks, and dispensors on redstone clocks. Not sure what that would sound like but it could be interesting.
The warden getting stunned by the goat horn doesn’t really make sense because it’s vibration based, not sound based. One idea I have is that illagers play the seek goat horn and maybe drop it.
@@explorernate vibrations travelling through gases such as air are alot more faint than through a solid which means the warden would barley sense a horn and wouldn't be stunned.

7:57 There were actually 10 Copper Horns, because there used to be 10 Goat Horns on Bedrock before "Fly" and "Dream" were removed (the one currently called "Dream" used to be called "Resist" on Bedrock, but was changed to match Java). Geez, I miss the Copper Horns. They weren't here for long, but I loved them.

Also wattles, not every kind of long works to drop the horn, in double life two members tried using birch and it didn't work because birch doesen't naturally generate in mountains. It's so fun using it the earth server, there's like 1000 players online per day and they form their own team and make a castle or a base then they just use a goat horn everytime they invade
You can use goat horns on smp, since you can use it as a code for such condition, like example You can use it as a signal for players, when you blow it, that means the player will do a thing based on what goat horn sounds
Sir those are genius ideas the beacon and the sensors. Especially if each sound gave off a different strength thereby allowing different redstone for each one
That‘s already possible! With lecterns and comparators you can „set“ a sculk sensor to only transform certain sounds into a redstone signal. Look it up in RUclips. There are a few tutorials. Truly amazing
i have an idea for getting easy Goat Horns 1. Set up a trap and trap a Goat 2. Add tripwire hook connected to Redstone 3. Add a Piston that will push Stone that pushes you 3 Alternative. Add a Sticky Piston that pushes Stone that pushes you onto a Pressure Plate connected to the Sticky Piston 4. Wait for the Goat to ram into you but trigger the Tripwire Hook. 5. Use your Goat Horn and see what you got. Happy Goat Horn collecting!
I just thought of something you can use them in multiplayer worlds as a way to warn others of an upcoming raid or something or trying to locate othwr okayers
Itd be cool if goat horns could scare away phantoms. Kinda like how cats scare away creepers. This would be useful as it would help the conflict between mojang and players since we all hate phantoms. we’d be able to sleep however often we want again and it would create a unique and important use for the horn

Well...yes but if it was on a long cooldown it could be used as a get out of jail free card once, and it makes sense to hurt the warden in some way due to its hyper sensitivity to sound

Mojang really missed an opportunity to allow pillagers to visibly blow these, even like a small visual detail during a raid.
