if you read this comment "sensor noises" Игры
have you found & built anything with sculk sensors yet?! what did you build?
Not yet. I haven’t had time
I upgraded the scolk farm
I'm gonna make an enchanted forest with the lights
I bet the auto portal could be modified to turn off when you go through, and eliminate the need for a button if you use comparators to check the signal strength
I haven’t gone searching for deep dark yet
If you don't want sculk sensor making noise, you can waterlog them. Waterlogging them will make them silent.
Dude he says that in the video
Edit: THIS WAS 8 MONTHS AGO. STOP BOTHERING ME WITH NOTIFS.
@@red4900 My bad i didnt watched the whole video
@@munisahmed dude, don't comment before watching the entire video
@@munisahmed Yeah what the f dude, not cool
personally i woudlnt take this disrespect. thats just me tho
Waterlogging every single sculk sensor (not just the one in the trap) will make all these contraptions even cooler! As for the favourite one, mine is probably the nether portal (the hidden stairway is a close second). Not even because of the contraption itself, but because of the portal's very neat design. Definetely gonna use it somewhere!
Yeah, waterlogging the sensors makes them quiet. They don't make the doooodooo sound.
Now i know
Waterlogging the sensor should really also disable the particle effect since it can be mad annoying!
why?
@@tabam just so you can have the proximity sensor design while being able to “hide the strings” as it were.
The automatic nether portal is such a great idea!!!
Hey I know you
until you go back and it doesn’t link
its been a while since i have played minecraft due to my school....now i am back at gaming ... i have got this channel....amazing
A cool Sculk Sensor contraption I made was an Allay Pinger. It uses trap doors to repeatedly activate a sculk sensor that pings a note block so Allays stay linked to it. Yeah, you could probably do the same thing with regular Redstone, but with the Sculk Sensors it really makes it a 1.19 build
Ye, you could just use 2 observers instead
Bots lol
Hear me out:
To activate the portal in the Ancient City, you need to use the wireless sculk mechanism; there are already the lanterns activated only by sound, but in order to activate the portal, you will need to use a loud, long and powerful sound, which would be the goat horn
That makes some sense, but I think there should be more of a price to pay to open the portal. If whatever is behind the portal is worth it even in the late game, then there should be a way to verify that the player who is opening the portal is in fact late game. It would be a little weird if you could just spawn in, find a goat horn+ancientcity and immediately get access to all that loot.
@@shiloh2699 True. Perhaps a special type of goat horn created by combining goat horn and several echo shards, so you need to explore the city itself
@@BananaMan-sb9rj craft it with a shulker shell. Instant way to hard cap it to late game
Maybe use the horns all in one and echo shards like what banana man said but maybe instead of those normal horns use the (not in game anymore or not in game PERIOD yet was mentioned) the copper goat horns?
@@craftminer49er I think it should fit the theme more. Sure, a shulker shell does instnatly make it late game, but doesnt make much sense. Why a shulker shell? it should be more related to the deep dark/ sounds imo.
Kudos to you, that secret staircase is the first one I’ve seen which uses stairs that blend into the wall, that technique is legitimately innovative and unique.
It's been in the game for literal years. I remember seeing numerous "mechanical house" videos back in the day, and every single house had at least one of these hidden stairs.
Also, no way it stayed out for long enough to climb the stairs
It’s a cool idea but you’d have to find a way to open it from inside the secret room
@@ApexHerbivore He literally climbed up it. And if you want it to stay out longer then just add a couple repeaters
Tbh I’ve followed you for as long as I can remember (7 months) all the redstone machines you make really are easy to make……thank you
ty!!
You can only remember 7 months?
@@DarkAlkaiser sadly yes but I love every single video I have watched
I've been subed for like 2years maybe 3
MOJANG HAS MADE MY LIFE WITH THESE UPDATES, WE GOT WIRELESS REDSTONE AND PEOPLE AREN'T THANKFUL ENOUGH, WE HAVE UNLIMITED POWER.
Minecraft has sold nearly 250 _million_ copies -- best-selling game in video game history. Plenty of people are thankful. ;)
Wow that was perfect timing
💫💫💫💫
The nether portal one is *mwah* chefs kiss. Thanks you wattles
I wish I had more interest in redstone builds. I think they are interesting, and can be very useful. I'm fine using droppers, dispensers, observers and the easily understood mechanics of those, but once I see a comparator or multiple repeaters it triggers something in my brain that says NOPE! That's why I love most of the things you've built. Not too complicated for my brain.😆
honestly using the sculk sensors and shriekers as a form of alarm system in a base would be super cool, maybe YOU become the warden to your own base?
Lmao, and your equivalent of the Warden's roar is you blowing a goat horn, specifically the one that sounds like the THX thing in movies
i love how seamless the staircase is, Definitely a favorite! thanks so much for all the designs
Redstone dust=Ethernet
Skulk sensor= WiFi
NEAT!
Thank you! This is very useful
I love your videos! Thank you for teaching me all I need to know about the new update! :)
I really love the trap, the portal and the staircase contraptions they're great for adventure maps
very nice, might use these
I have been waiting for this video. Fantastic information good sir!
Tnx, they all awesome and i wanna build it right now!!!
I love the cave lighting!
Thank you I wold have never of thought 😊
I was looking for an automatic nether portal design like this THATS awesome. Need more redstone ideas like this
The hall light idea is straight up horror XD lights following you in a dark hall with creepy sounds coming out of the walls
YESS
I love these and how simple and well explained they are. Finally, someone dumb like me can make a cool redstone contraption!
I love them all ty
Thanks! This will be perfect for my jump scare armorstands that now rely on pressure plates to trigger! Fave was stair trick and nether portal.
Waterlogging sculk sensors makes them silent. helps a lot! thanks for the amazing video as always wattles!
Rly loved it!
Those stairs and secret room are amazing!
This is so cool! I was bored today and this cured my boredom!
All of these contraptions are awesome! Great episode!
thanks!!
thank you! Redstone is too complicated for me, but the automatic lights and portal are very simple, creative ideas. Very much appreciated !
Nice my guy! Those jump pads are sick!
Love these ideas!
Waterlogged sensors doesn't make noise
Hello, I am not new to Minecraft and I am very old-school with it. I love to play on peaceful survival. I love to gather the resources that i need. Anyway long story short you have showed me many things and I thank you for it. Please keep up the good videos and sorry for a long comment.
thank you!!
Love how explain the redstone builds that even a noob like me can get it.
thank you.
I love the idea of the first one, but what about spawn proof?!!
1.18 made it so that even a light level of 1 is able to prevent spawns. You can dimly light the room so it still looks dark.
Have iron golem guards? ;D
slabs, stairs and carpets?
Just use buttons
@@PotatoMan555 A whole floor of buttons may ruin the aesthetic of the build
That staircase!! Amazing!
Pro tip: powdered snow works better for breaking portals than water buckets do
That works?
@@mace1234 Yes if you point a dispenser into a portal and put a powdered snow bucket inside then it will break it
@@Riglin you can just say yes
I love the idea of the first one, but what about spawn proof?
youd have to do glass floors or slabs!
@@KingFisher7533 carpets won't trigger sensors
@@rihaan2026 carpets will, wool won't
You can use powder snow to unlit the portal
I can't remember if the sculk sensors also detect piston movements with blocks, but if they do it sounds cool to have it so in the first design if you had the first sensor also push a block up top which in order lit up the entire hall and then they turned off in order too before walking too far ahead.
The stairs where really cool I'm gona use that now
By all that is holy, those jump pads are fantastic. A super-compact way to make elytra launchers, i'm in love!
Pretty sure they’ll continue forever once started though sadly
Tip: Calibrated sculk sensors filter what kind of sound it should listen to. Make it listen to sheep inside your house. Then have the secret room only open when you have a sheep in your bedroom.
Wattles, ur probs my favorite MC RUclipsr, ur voice is calming and ur the coolest
this is so amazing
really like that elevator and the hidden stairs
This was helpful as I just found a Deep Dark City in my old world. Same world for 3 years.
Hey good shit man. Thanks!
Thank you. Also now I realize just how easy piston doors are
For the last one, the sensor keeps picking up the movement of the piston and it’s just endless😂 but the rest of these are so awesome!!!
Wattles this is perfect
11:59 Anyone else noticed that when wattles said "potion" the word that appeared was "poison"? xD
The staircase just Instantly became Mind-blowing and now I have an idea 💡 hear this
A lava pit tunnel or pit with a straight drop maybe a 3x3 or a 4x4 but for flash I'll build it in a 6x6 and I'm wondering if it works with mobs? I have so many ideas 💡
The last one does not work cuz every time the piston gets up the sculk triggers himself (using bedrock)
The automatic doors are gonna be cool, I have a long hallway full of storage chests in my base and at the end of it has like a big ice cream cone library type thing going on with extra chests in it and I was trying to think of a doorway that was cooler than just dark oak or mangrove so now I'm thinking I'll just use tinted glass like I have on the rest of my base so you can still see inside of it but when you walk up to go through it it opens all futuristically on its own
Fascinating
I'm building a secret entrance to my mine/underbase storage system using sculk sensors I am really looking for a way to extend the time of the signal so something like the staircase you show here can stay open a lil longer giving enough time to get through it easily... might just go with a t flip flop but that requires manually turning it off and idk what im doing with redstone hahaha
OK, I am going to use these on server I am on!
I do like these Schulk Sensors.
If you dont like the length of the redstone pulse you can add a pulse extender
You can also use a calibrated sensor along with a comparator and a lectern so that the sensor reacts only to certain actions (walking, eating, etc.)
You can also waterlog them so that they dont make any noise, they do however become a bit problematic since most redstone components break when they come in contact with water
So much fun! Now I'm going to have to find some deep dark 😧
I really hope the sculk sensor doesn’t face the same problem as the target block, as in it sounds really cool at first but in reality it’s far less practical than just traditional redstone.
That's exactly what it is lol
It's an automatic sensor. How could it be bad in any way?
love ur vids 💓 💗
I LOVE the last one.
Nether portal is second.
Shout out to all the other Greg's, Gregory's, and Gregg's out there! Thanks for using our name, wattles!
When dropping onto a slime block it's a better idea to hold space bar, instead of crouching. Crouching will make you not bounce but you will take fall damage, but with the space bar you don't get hurt
the hallway idea is cool, but i would add some form of redstone pulse extender. Just to keep the lights turned on longer
This just made me soooo excited and looks as if these Sculk sensors replaced daylight censor? And I just so happen to find a place to snag these. Want a incredible seed for ps4? Scooter
You could have use pulse extenders to make portal auto-close as well. If you serial wire 2 or 3 of them that should be enough to use the portak
A tip for waterlogging, you may get dripping of water through the tunnel/room, to solve this, do a lamp, then redstone dust on top the a sculk sensor on top of the dust, waterlogging the sculk senser doesn't flow water right below, it will do the sides however. then put wool between the sensors as usual,
If you want to use a flowerpot to make the staircase example activate do you build it the same as when you made it with the note blocks?
Perfect
I am probably editting this later in the video if if mentions it somewhere, but I imagine a contraption could be done that pings one dispenser or the othen when the sensor turns on and off, effectively killing the portal when you get away
Sweet, now we can have an actual trampoline without needing a redstone clock or button.
I am so adding a sculk sensor lamp to my builds that looks so cool, and the automatic portal too (that doesn't mess up your Nether spawn right? xd)
My favorite by far is the trap, but it's completely useless to me cause I don't play on realms or servers, but I always liked a portal that could be activated/deactivated easily!
Don't worry about the slabs get yourself a bucket of snow it works just the same but without that nasty risk of getting your Redstone all jacked up.
Secret stairs up to the hidden room. Genius and fun.
not sure if it's bedrock, or if Im doing it wrong, but the piston jump one...the piston constantly cycles because its movement sets off the skulk sensor..anyone else have this issue?
Yeah I am actually. I've been trying to get that to work and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong
@@hungmungo4015 bedrock or Java?
@@TheMightyDel bedrock. I actually just ended up doing a wired Redstone setup
Super glad we can silence the skulk sensor.
That dark hallway would be SO neat to do somehow without monsters spawning, such a fun concept.
Slabs as the floor maybe
@@MetalGearKnowledge yeah I'm gonna test this out when I find a space. I figured slabs would be the trick.
Everybody gangsta until that one friend gets the shrieker and puts it next to the sensor 😳
2 things powdered snow works cleaner than water on are breaking nether portals and stopping fall damage in mob farms. totally overlooked useful stuff
Need to go find an ancient city I’ve been way too lazy
Totally bodacious my dude
I just raided an ancient city and was wondering about this!
perfect
no u
2:13 no it’s amazing dude❤😅😊
Waterlog the skulk censors and they won't make noise. They will still sense noises but won't make the annoying sound.
I love you wattles...
I'm just gonna say that's awesome
Tipp for the automatic portal. If you don't want to push the buttons all the time just use pressure plates on the way that dispense the water
6:35 mindblow head explosions and screams!!
Nice
