    I would have liked to see how you processed those images. From the raw back-of-the-camera view, I did not expect the stars would be that clear above the buildings.

    I got a little nervous when you said you were going to start exposing in a city park! Nice work.

    Great video, thank you! Can I ask, with the inbuilt intervalometer in the Sony, the shortest gap between the shots I can set is 1 second (A7iv). Your wonderful trails are gapless, so how did you manage that? Thanks!

      The trick is the short exposure time. I used 3.2 exposures. That means you need to process a lot more individual frames, they you'll have no gaps.

    Great video. Is there a way to turn off your Image Review mode? That would help prolong the battery time. 5:48 - beautiful image!

      I assume you are talking about the A7III. Yes you can turn it off. On the menu go to the Menu 2 and it's on page 7 of 9 under Auto Review: You can have it set to 10sec, 5sec, 2sec or turn it off.

    I was wondering how you were getting on. Glad to see you shooting and uploading a new video.
    As to the shots you took in the video. Did you have the camera level when shooting? Or did you straighten the buildings in post?

    • @Photoncollective
      @Photoncollective 2 года назад +1

      It was close to level but I did use Lightroom's transform tools to do a mild straighten.

    Viltrox has a real problem for astrophotographers. All of their lenses are no weather sealed

    • @LonelySpeck
      @LonelySpeck  2 года назад

      Not sure why you'd need weather sealing for astro. Usually we shoot on clear nights...

      @@LonelySpeck dust and dew my friend, I go with Rokinon 18 AF on my A7III one night and return with autofocus problems and a dirty sensor. Solve with some cleaning but I will not use non weather sealed lenses in my astrophoto trips again

      @@JorgeMorenoCGArtist On cold humid nights, a dew heater can work very well to prevent dew from condensing.
