Thank you ALWAYS for the blast from the past!, It's a shame the educational system didn't share this wonderful info and many who know of Afro-Mexicans and some of their history is because we grew up with reading material in the home. Unfortunately, they are not appreciated nor celebrated in their own country. They also don't seem to be the ones LEGALLY or ILLEGALLY entering the U.S. what we have is predominantly the " Mestizo's" or to a lesser degree White Mexicans.
