One of the Greatest Guitarists of All time R.I.P Brother
Every note Gary Moore played was with conviction! And it’s nice to remember when you could see lighters instead of smart phones in hands of the crowd!
One of the best singer, writer, players ever. R.I.P. Gary Moore
fucking genius
Next to Phil Now On the other side.
I wonder why Gary is never talked about when people talk about the best guitarists? He’s in my top 5 for sure!
How many genres can he cover great??
@@josephphotography4127 every
In my top 3!
Currently he's my number one. Because he is one of the rare guitar heros who played great songs in a great band. Michael Schenker is on par with him if you ask me.
In my Top 3 my friend but yeah your spot on, he should be mentioned in the greats of all time 👍
Regardless of what critics say, gary moore is definitely one of the best guitarists in history. master.
😊
I agree. why is it that are & were so many GREAT ARTIST that were ignored by mainstream music? What a shame.
100%
I ignore critics, because it is just their opinion, nothing more. Gary was a great guitar player!
He was THE best.
He was and still is the best of the best. He’s the number 1. I’ve heard them all And I couldn’t find anyone better than him. I can’t believe they can’t see it.
That Loner solo and that ending of that solo, the outro, epic. RIP underated Gary Moore
Nothing but best wishes for recognizing my guitar hero. Gary to me a truly incredible guitarist.
Nobody could make a guitar scream like Gary Moore.
this is crazy, how can a person play with such perfection not missing any single note ? and bending notes at the same time that running in stage ??? he was genius unbelievable.....
Having been teenager's and hung out at weekend's, living within 2 miles from each other having jamming sessions in coffee clubs in Dundella/ Bellmont area of Belfast he was the consummate perfectionist or striving to be even at that time,a joyous time to grow up an be pal9with.
@@jacktaz glad x u!!!!
This was a great concert. Wild and Great to see The Swedes gave Gary great support here! Sure loved his days with Thin Lizzy.
Born in the 60's .... lived in the 80's mr. Gary Moore was and is my hero: Listening to his music when i drive to the office or , as tonight , watching his shows while my wife is not at home. RIP Gary.
Man good luck to you, my girlfriend doesn't like rock and heavy too, stupid girls :)
I am one of the lucky ones that witnessed this marvellous and epic concert. It was a religious moment and it still is +30 years later. One of those concerts you never forget.
I can see why you liken it to a religious moment. The 'Empty Rooms' solo is astonishing and seeing it performed live must have been incredible. Lucky you!
So was I. As you said an epic concert and a religious moment.
Just wondering how loud Gary was and judging by the feedback he was getting a mere 4-5 seconds after a chord it must've been massive!
I was there, close up front, epic is not enough for this evening
You lucky, lucky, lucky person.
There has never been a more expressive and skilful guitarist than Gary.
71' Jimmy Page smokes Gary Moore for live creativity and expression. Gary is more disciplined, Jimmy played at the absolute edge of his ability. I find the latter way more entertaining.
True
Kirk Hammett, CC deVille. Too name a few.
@@mattiasjansson733 Kirk Hammett haha. Hilarious!! I am sorry but you dont have a clue.
@@mattiasjansson733 C.C. DeVille a better guitarist than Gary Moore, are you having a laugh 😂😂 C.C. couldn’t even play in tune half the time
Gary is appreciated by a lot of new guitarists, Joe Bonamassa one of them for sure. Gary is my top 3 since I first heard him 30 years ago, I knew there's hardly any better. And I prefer his blues work.
Gary, the master! The tone, the voice, the control, the absolute soul! And mad respect to Neil Carter, on keys/rhythm guitar and song! What a multi talent! Bob Daisley's bass thunder and fretless solo! Eric Singer laying down the heavy beats on drums! WHAT A TEAM! WHAT A CONCERT! Lucky Swedes, who got to be there :)

One of the most underrated! This is back when they HAD TO MAKE MUSIC. No autotune, you just had to have talent! There was no hiding behind software, computers, or devices.
also had to hone in your beat and tempo for sure, not to sound bad yet still in tune!also they were Entertainers!could create a mood with 2 or 3 songs and nobody would walk out mid concert!
Why do you say underrated? He is widely acknowledged as one of the best rock guitarists of all time.
I was there, amazing concert!
I was there / Great Show 🎵🎼🎶🎸😎👊
Robert William Gary Moore (R.i.p)🎸😎👊
@@vaneipontes3279 you were there? You' re a very Lucky man
So so wish i was there but sadly i was only 3 years old at the time lol
Saw him in belfast 1983, changed my life.
Cool did it turn you into a shredder or a blues man?
Saw him in Denmark in 1990 along with 50 000 other fans! He rocked!
I wasn't in Stockholm, but I attended the one in Barcelona (same tour). He was just pure passion & fire , at the very top of his game. He played several extended solos, not a screw up in the whole gig. Possibly the best rock guitarist I have ever seen on stage. He had everything !
Oooooh, you got that chance !! Awesome
Same here Birmingham nec hr was perfection
Beautiful album with celtic/irish accents in memory of Phil Lynott. His right hand attack and speed was a trademark. Great guitar/synth duets here, and kudos to N Carter for his singing performance. Thrilling version of Military Man 🙌
Loner possibly the most melodic song ever.
Er ist mit Abstand der beste Gitarrist der jemals auf diesen Planet gelebt hat.
Gary was...and still is...and forever will be my favorite guitarist. R.I.P.
Он жив , только вышел покурить !
Gary 💖🔥🎤🎸✌
Still get goosebumps when I listen to Gary Moore 😀👍
He Is only guitarist that can play every style of Music, not only play but f....SHREDD like a MF!!!.......RIP Gary
R.I.P.
Gary Moore and Bob Daisley was a incredible duo. I LOVE IT !!!
Empty Rooms is above everything. Divine Song.
My favorite band is Kiss, I'm mentioning this because Eric Singer was the drummer that night, Gary best guitarist ever for me, bar none
Parasta A-ryhmää. Hieno setti kaiken kaikkiaan!👍
Not seeing Gary Moore is my one big concert regret. I had a chance to go when he opened for Rush in 1983/84 but I skipped it because I was mad at Rush for all the keyboard stuff. Now I like it, but not back then. I figured Gary would be back, but I was wrong. :(
What a nightmare!
My parents were on this concert. Me and my sister wasn't even born. Amazing music, rest in piece Gary, from the "Ugglas" of Sweden. Your music will spawn across the timelines.
I agree also.
Rest in peace maybe?
Near Germany Sweden has the greatest fanbase of the great Gary Moore.
Watching from Indonesia. I wasn't even born at that time. I know Gary Moore from youtube and I Love his voice and of course the way he make his guitar cry. Sorry for my bad english.
Your english is very good don´t put down yourself.
Now this is the concert Gary Moore should be remembered for, his Rock era at it's peak, yeah his blues stuff was great too, but this and Victims days were the best for me. Shapes is my absolute favourite.
This was the only time I saw Gary. Was during this tour. He has to be one of the greatest guitar player to ever walk the face of the earth. RIP Gary.
This is definitely one of the greatest rock concert in the history of mankind 🎶🍻❤️
Gary Moore is the worlds best hard rock Master Lead Vocalist & Lead Guitarist in Europe & the worlds. RIP Gary Moore.

I can't get enough of this live no matter how many years...he so missed 😢
Me either.!!
Yes, he is and I saw that show in Stockholm ´87. The arena was completely packed that night. I stood in the middle of the crowd on the floor, in front of the stage. The atmosphere was totally insane! A real rock ´n roll night, that´s for sure.
I was there,Great show 🎵🎼🎶🎸😎👊
I never forget🎸😎👊
Robert William Gary Moore "R.i.p"🎸😎👊
I remember the In-Store at Tower records in Anaheim this same line-up did when I was working there.Great memories.
''Empty Rooms'', I have to say nothing comes close to this for ''passion, power & feeling'' It gave me chills up the spine, it's as if his guitar was actually crying at one stage. This guy really knows how to ''arouse'' an audience, no doubt about that, absolutely brilliant performance. !!!!!!
❤️
I love lots of guitarists old and new. I think these days it can sound artificial but this is the barebones pure tone that doesn't seem to exist much anymore
@@aceforce5148 So true.!!
DIMELO A MI.....🔥🎸🔥😅
Not everyone can play beautiful melodies and shred at the same time.
He was one with his guitar. He will truly never be forgotten nor replaced. Concerning his rock career, I guess this is what you would call the peak level
He sure is one of the Best my Complete Favorite he was a very Nice Guy it was a Complete Pleasure talking with him plus he always has a Great Band as Gary Fought through his Battles but still put out Great music he Definitely was a Inspiration to as My Grand Parents grew up in Ireland 🇮🇪 it was a real Battle back then I can tell you our Conversation was Inspiring Insightful and rewarding it was Heart Breaking when heard of his Passing but his music will Live on in all of us RIP
Thanks for praising my hero. Indeed , Gary loss was like a family member. Cause he was the best guitarist of all time. Greetings from USA. 🤟

It’s been said that there are some good guitar players, some great players and then there is Gary Moore 💔RIP, Gary 💔The most amazing guitarist, legendary singer and wonderful soul . Will never forget 🥰
The guitar is a beautiful instrument when you get to know it. The great guitarists don't just play, they sing through their guitar. At this, Gary was a master.
Perfect statement….amazingly put ! 👍❤
Just reading the biography by Harry Shapiro where he recommends this. I hadn't realised The Loner was Gary's tribute to Jeff Beck - and then watching the opening bars to this version you can immediately see it. Gary was unique in his ability to blend lightning fast licks with the most emotive playing.
They looked out from the fortress on the hill.
There came a single warrior returning from the kill.
The spoils of war hung from his horses mane.
The bloody heads of enemies that he had freshly slayed.
They saw the face, the eyes so sullen,
could only be the young Cúchulain.
Thunder rising, thunder rising,
thunder rising early in the morning.
Cities burning,
the world keeps turning.
Thunder rising early in the morning.
The son of Lugh MacEithleen knew no fear.
For just one blow at any foe to tell his end was near.
So many tried to mock this Celtic son.
They taunted and they teased him till
he slayed them one by one.
And so they came, and so they've fallen
at the hands of young Cúchulain.
Thunder rising, thunder rising,
thunder rising early in the morning.
Cities burning,
the world keeps turning.
Thunder rising early in the morning.
Long ago the legend has it,
how the mighty Ulster men
battled with the King Of Connacht,
fighting to the bitter end.
No one knew what foolish reason
caused this skirmish to begin.
Was it treachery or treason,
or just the idle threats of drunken men?
Thunder rising, thunder rising,
thunder rising early in the morning.
Cities burning,
the world keeps turning.
Thunder rising early in the morning.
Thunder rising, thunder rising,
thunder rising early in the morning.
Young men are dying,
the widows are crying.
Thunder rising early in the morning.

This is probably one the most wanted concerts I would have liked to seen, but never did!
This is world class, it doesn’t get much better than this!
I saw Gary Moore at Sweden rock festival playing the most of these songs some years ago, I am glad to have seen him at least once before he past away! RIP!
All in the band, Eric Singer on drums plays so beautiful, Neil Carter, Bob Daisley are all Great musicians! I really love this…!
My favorite Gary Moore concert he rocks here👏🎵🎸✌
Wow, that guy could play the guitar. Excellent
This was Gary’s moment, love that melodic breakdown
Just 3 months younger than myself, I find this as pleasing as anything he'd done with Thin Lizzy!
I was there that night! Magic! Pure magic! Gary Moore made it clear in an interview, that Stockholm was his first choice, for recording live on the Wild frontier tour. The audience is always great in Stockholm, but this night was special. What a line up, Gary Moore, Eric Singer, Bob Daisley and Neil Carter. It´s a shame, this is not the complete show. They played for almost two hours, 50 minutes is missing here, great performances of Victims of the Future, Murder in the Skies and Shapes of things, even Military man. Only 70 minutes released.
Military Man is on here
I hope one day they release the complete show. This is my favourite music video to listen to 😸
En Barcelona fue inolvidable!!!

Thank you to whoever posted this video. I had never seen images of this Tour and suddenly I traveled 36 years back in time. I remember it as if it was yesterday. I was lucky enough to be born in the 60's and to see some of the best guitarists of all time live, but the concert of this Tour in Cascais, Portugal (13/05/1987) is and will always be in my memory. GARY is one of a kind and simply the best. Thank you GARY for the moments of happiness. R.I.P.
Nothing but wishing you the best...since you praise my hero. Ever since I watched Empty Rooms solo on RUclips, I became a Gary Moore disciple for life. Greetings from MD, USA.
I never had the chance to see Gary on concert, i started listening to him with the corridors of power, such a awesome album, along with the many albums to follow, he just had the magicial music in his fingers, such a force, he quickly became rated up there with My favorite Blackmore, Tommy Bolin,Mick Box , Page, Hendrix, ive seen a few of his live concerts what a fierce player on the fret board, and a awesome performer ,and yet seem to be such a humble person, only considered himself to be an accomplished player! Wow, very underrated, i love Garys music even the blues stuff is excellent! R.I.P. Mr Gary Moore
What a stacked backing band. So much talent on that stage.
This was the first big consert for me. 14 years young and it was fantastic!!🙏
Congratulations. You are one of the luckiest people in the world to at least witnessed one of the best guitarist in the world before his sudden death. I was dying to be in your shoes just prior to 2011. Then came the bad news in 2011. there went my chances gone in a flash.
me too.

33 Years after this great live gig ( Feb. 6 2020 , 9 years without the legend among us) and it still sounds fresh as the first day it was recorded
😢😢😢...R.I.P GARY MOORE...
let's face it. there's so many thousand fantastic musicians out there. great singers, great guitarists in their own right. Still it's justified to my to say that Gary is unsurpassed in his way to phrase and and emote / energise any piece of music he chose to play. So unique. So inspiring
❤
Been a fan of Gary's for many years and it still hurts to remember that he's no longer here. His performance here is brilliant. I especially love the extended middle section of 'Out in the fields' - it's sublime and gives me goose bumps every time. The man was a magician with a guitar in his hands. Sadly missed, even after all these years.
Wow me too! One of their best lineups they were so on in this concert!
It was amazing the audience was even in sync with the song.
Gary's sheer ferocity is unmatched. But his playing was so much more.
One of the best ever. In the Hendrix, Rhoades club forever
The day before 24 april 1987 i was at this show but in Gothenburg at Scandinavium. I was 17 years old. Nice memory!

Aynen öyle.
sad to say I only recently heard of this PHENOMINAL artist. why mainstream radio never played his music is a travesty.
If only talent could be passed down I would have been first in the queue to accept, what a fantastic guitarist he was and one of the saddest losses for me
Gary plays a great guitar
I love this kind of music
I wish I could play like this R I P GARY 😮❤
This needs to be remastered!
absolutely
I agree
Why?
Sounds great!
Where are your ears?
He can wrote, sing and play brilliant songs. Multitalent legend. And he won t miss any note when he sings. 🫡
Saw this show in Norway, Drammenshallen 23.04.87, just two days before this one, and it was just as amazing as I remembered when I watched this vid. Like someone else commented earlier in this thread, Gary Moore was a true master of his craft. Can't say I know of any other guitarist that play with that kind of passion, aggression, timing and... well he was just briliant and a great inspiration for me as a guitarist. =)
Ya se cumplieron 35 años de este evento y la verdad que afortunados los que estuvieron disfrutando la música de
este gran guitarrista y su banda.RIP GARY.
Wooow! Man, I was than 15yrs and first day Gary's new LP(Wild frontier) came in my country I was on my way by train to my capital city to buy it!!! Haha, those were the times then, I had to travel 8 hours to buy an LP that had just arrived . You can only imagine what would I do to see Gary and his band on this tour!!! AND YOU DID!!! HOW I WISH I WAS IN YOUR SHOES THEN!!! But then I lived in Yugoslavia and those were the last peaceful years before the war!!! Gary Moore and his album(LP) "Wild frontier" were for me like soundtrack of those times in my life!!! R. I. P. great Gary Moore!
Gary at the height of his metal powers; whoever put this up in 720p deserves a medal. We have no remastered release of this tour. Apart from Bob Daisley and Gary's friends, there is no interest in Gary on radio, nothing from the music industry and no interest from the music press. Those virtue-signalling buzzards don't deserve Gary Moore's legacy.
Joe Bonamasa has a radio show on the SiriusXM blues channel. Today on his show, he played a Gary Moore cut, and spoke at length about Gary's greatness. It was good to hear. In this day and age, someone needs to play "Murder in the Sky" from his Victims of the Future album, about when USSR shot down the South Korean passenger jet.
From God's Lips through Gary's guitar to Your Ears. To hear Gary play is to be transported to another astral plane entirely, and to have been able to SEE Gary perform was to glimpse the Divine. That's why you seldom if ever hear Gary's music played on radio, why the music industry appears to have no interest in capitalizing on his legacy, and why the music press ignores him. There really are such things as being TOO GOOD for this world, to be blessed with a GIFT SO GREAT exposes those who control mass media as deaf, dumb & blind.
can we PLEASE get a high-quality remaster of this on DVD/blu ray???
I cranked this in the car, wow! My ears were ringing.
Talented guy. Voice, guitars. No more words needed. R.I.P. Gary. 😳
An absolute monster that doesn't get nearly the credit or respect he deserves.
Whats over looked sometimes is that Gary was also a very good Singer.
Best concert of all time!
He is alive!
I was a baby when this gig happened, fuck... I missed out 😤
When it comes to feel and emotion on the guitar he was and still is King. Miss him so
