The fact that we didn't win the world series this year will haunt me til the day i die

Honestly. The Phillies should’ve won four straight from 2008-2011. That’s not how sports works though.

Of all the players in this video the only ones left in the MLB are:
    Mike (Giancarlo) Stanton
    Cole Hamels (Possibly)

Maybe the best Phillies team a lot of us will ever see in our lifetimes. Such a tragic ending

Man, watching Cliff Lee work at his peak was pure joy.

To be honest, we should have seen the downfall coming. It started in 2010 when Ruben began to chase names instead of bolstering the roster with homegrown talent as the previous regime had. Halladay, Oswalt (guys I loved by the way don't get it twisted) Cliff Lee, Hunter Pence, (when Dominic Brown was right there) Probably the only name that Ruben chased that made sense was Polanco. I'm not saying I didn't like any of the players he signed, but when you have a loaded roster of names, and not homegrown talent, your future is in jeopardy. Case in point 2012 and 2013

I was at that cliff lee game. When I was 6 I remember that game vividly it ended 5-0 and the Phillies only got 2 hits. But cliff lee was amazing
