I feel like this year is talked about the least of the 2007-2011 years. Everyone remembers and loves 2007 and 2008. Then everyone talks about how we should’ve won in 2009 and 2011. (Which they should’ve). What about 2010? They had the best record in baseball after only being 2 games over by the asg. Maybe it’s me but I feel like this year isn’t talked about a lot in stuff I read.
Late H.L. ("Roy") Halladay, lll went 17-10 for Blue Jays in 2009 season, but 2010 season was banner one for him w/his new Phils team, same team that came out victorious in each, previous 2 seasons' N.L.C.S. (2008/9). In 2010 season he was 21-game winner, but highlight for him that season was late-May perfect game on road against Marlins in which Phils won. Then he hurled hitless game at home against Reds in Game l, div. playoffs, game in which Phils came out victorious as well. They'd advance to lllrd successive N.L.C.S., but their quest for lll-peat "Fall Classic" appearance went by wayside as they suffered 6-game loss to soon-to-be World Series-winning Frisco Giants
9:26 I will never forget Doc's perfecto. I bought his shirt (shirsey?) the day after the game at a Dick's store. I wore that shirt until it didn't fit anymore. When I heard the news in 2017, I found that shirt and hung it up on my wall in memory of my all-time favorite pitcher. Man, I miss this era of Phillies baseball.
I was at that crazy game in SF when Werth got them back in it and then the Phillies closed the door in extras. It was fun. Too bad SF got the last laugh on us that season. 😡
