Awesome timing! I am building one right now for the end of my daughter’s Ikea Storage bed. Seriously-just finished part of the frame and came inside for water. Decided to search for an example of other people’s projects and found yours right away. I don’t have a plan and have built cabinets before…but now realize I was over complicating mine. Building a frame like a workbench with too many steps and unnecessary pieces. Having your example is exactly what I needed! Thank you!😁🌻
Thanks Warren - really excelent video. Needed one of these but they cost £2000+ so knocked one up last weekend using your superb video as a guide. Even managed to get a WiFi RF smart universal remote box, clone the lift frequency and created some routines so when I ask 'her who will remain nameless' to activate the lift, it's turns the TV on/off.
Hey. Great to hear you found the video useful. I'd be really interested to know what piece of WIFI kit you bought and how you changed the frequency on it as I'd love to be able to do that on mine as well 😊
If you are doing this build, please fit things carefully. The pains hinge will lift the middle section of the top higher than the sides. You can see this when he talks about leveling the middle, but the sides are leveled later. I’m pretty sure he went back and shimmed the sides or mortised the hinge. I’m in the midst of redoing some things on a build because I assumed it would sit level.
How did you level the side top sections? In the video you show the middle section needing to be raised up a bit in the front (caused by piano hinge), but the sides are lower. Final video shows them all level! Love the video!
Well done I'm just about to start the same project. Concise instructions and easy to understand. The link to the lift you used goes to a US site. Any advice for a recommended UK based lift?....Cheers Pete
Great to hear. Here's link to the mechanism I bought in the uk: ECO-WORTHY 700mm Automatic Plasma/LCD Motorised Television TV Lift Mount Bracket Stroke Save Space www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01B47NVYO/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_GVHWGDGXBW9FN89N4T8B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Did you make the height so tall bc of the mechanism required it? Love the idea and seemed pretty simply but would prefer a stand that doesn’t tower my bed.
Love the video. I'm planning on making one. Question: From when you cut the lid and painting steps, the lid went from flat to beveled. How did you do that?
Nice cabinet and great tutorial, thank you. I've been reluctant to build a TV lift because most of the YT videos use lifts that are prohibitively expensive. Could you tell me if you're happy with your lift, and how loud it is?
Great video! I’m getting ready to build one myself for a 55 inch tv. What are the measurements of this cabinet? Do I need to make a deeper cabinet as the tv gets bigger to increase the stability? As you can tell from my questions, I’m not used to building these things. ;-)

That's great to hear. Please let me know how you get on with yours.
My dad made this for me after I showed him your video...it's awesome!
Very nice. I like the use of the paneling to give it a shaker style look.
Glad you like it!

These directions are perfect! Thank you!
Love this. And so easy to make. Thanks 👍
This is incredible! Mate, you're a genius! Can''t wait to build one myself!
Will be following this video and your channel very closely!
H a ha thanks so much
I want to build something like this to convert my dining table into a remote workspace ☺
Let me know how it turns out.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
Imma try to make this I love it so much
I am making mine , thank you so much
It’s beautiful. I want to try to build one. Thanks for the video. 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you like it. You're welcome.
Great video! May I ask how much it was? I'm still debating whether to make it all myself or buy some cabinet at IKEA and start from there.
Thank yu warren .very nice job

Hi there. Just to reassure you, I didn't do this. And the top remains level to this day
Would this work for a 60 in tv?
I can’t find directions anywhere, can you post?
🤩 wow! Love it! Necesito uno para mi master suit!
Great, glad you like it.

So inspiring- thanks Warren. When the TV is raised to the top- does the cabinet feel top heavy- as for us,it will be at the end of the bed. Thanks
Was curious about this as well

This is Brilliant! I need this but dont have the tools. Are you able to custom make one for people who are interested?
Wow, I like that very it's called hightech Amazing, what called the tv mechanism?where it can buy?
Hello, you can get it from here: www.warrennash.co.uk/diy/electrictvliftcabinet
Amazing. Thank you
The lift listing says its for tv's up to 55in. Will these lifts work on 75in as well or is it the weight of the tv that matters?
Did you make the height so tall bc of the mechanism required it? Love the idea and seemed pretty simply but would prefer a stand that doesn’t tower my bed.
Hi that is indeed the reason. The mechanism was quite tall. Therefore it now remains up against the wall instead of at the end of the bed.
Love the video. I'm planning on making one.

Do you have the dimensions for this project?
what size tv did you use ?
thanks in advance
Can I do this with a 65 inch tv?
obviously

Did you sit on the remote to raise the TV at the start?
Hi, I didn't, it was operated separately.
Nice info❤️❤️
Thanks so much.
@@WarrenNash you’re welcome 😃
Great video. Is there a separate remote for the mechanism or is it clever enough when you use the tv remote for switching the tv on, the stand rises?
Hi there, it is a separate remote for the mechanism.
Wow i can do this
We call this a televator in USA ;)
Can you make and sell this to me ? 😜
