  • Across his three-and-a-half-decade career, the celebrated Bengali director Satyajit Ray authored over 30 films, revolutionising Indian cinema and introducing the nation on screen to audiences worldwide. For author Salman Rushdie, Ray was “the poet par excellence of the human-scale, life-sized comedy and tragedy of ordinary men and women”. Akira Kurosawa believed that “not to have seen the cinema of Satyajit Ray means existing in the world without seeing the sun or the moon.”
In 1957 Satyajit Ray wrote an article about his first feature film PATHER PANCHALI for British Magazine "Sight & Sound". After that famous film critic Gideon Bachmann recorded Ray for this.
Original Title : A long time on the little Road
    Sight and Sound(London)
    Year : 1957 Spring

@@abhisheksrivastava5014 From an Indian Bengali teacher, named B. D. Roy, as he mentioned in his "Jokhon Chhoto Chhilam". This is evidence of our overwhelmingly deteriorated and further deteriorating quality of education in Govt. Schools, especially in rural India.
