after the release of Elite, scuffs are useless, you need to put all that work on just to remove the trigger locks instead of a flip of a switch like the Elite? or switching 3 different thumbsticks which are magnetic and swapable etc all for $150.
Liquid Shrooms i know this is from 11 months ago but after doing a lot of research the elite controller is not ad durable because ive heard multiple cases of the analog drift, and the bumpers breaking easily
I got my scuf a few days ago, only played for couple of hrs so still getting used to it, I went for 2 paddles, pro grip and medium left thumbstick, large right thumbstick. I also saw an improvement straight away, my prob is I keep forgetting the paddles, the amount of times I could've drop shotted and didn't coz I'd forgot, I'll get used to it. Great review mate.
I got my scuf hybrid, which is the 360 version of this controller, and I've really loved my scuf. I have gotten master rank in Black Ops 2 and I am so much better being able to drop shot and jump shot accurately. If you have the money and are really dedicated to playing video games a scuf is a really good purchase for you. Remember though that this will only help you if you are a smart player. I've seen a couple of my friends on xbox buy them, but they aren't smart players and the scuf does nothing to help their game.
I aboslutely love my scuf one controller. Just yesterday I had two drops shots and a jump shot around a couple of barrels on strikezone all in 10 seconds. Without it I would not have even gotten a kill in that situation.
I agree with you about the new Xbox controller. I feel like the change in shape made it less comfortable than the 360. The only thing that should've changed were the triggers and the d-pad, not even the mic plug. I also have slightly large hands and use kontrol freaks, and it feels like my right thumb has to bend slightly too far towards the left and downward. I don't see myself getting a Scuf unless I start to take gaming a lot more seriously, but it seems like it would also be amazing for siting in racing games if you got the feature to easily remap the buttons. I thought that this was a great video, keep up the good work!
I have one for 360, but I am going to switch to Xbox 1 and I was worried about the grip as well. I love the grip on my 360 controller, but the need for the adapter on Xbox 1 has changed my mind about getting it on the new one. Great vid, and very informative.
i have a scuf one with the scuf grip but i bought it more recently. they fixed this issue with the scuf grip by not putting it around where the adapter plugs in. i have no problem plugging in my adapter.
Hi Ace, I had a similar issue with my scuf paddles, they weren't in a position where my fingers would normally sit, so i got some little sticky button and put them on the paddles where my fingers sit. Works perfect now with no sore fingers, give it a try!
The good thing is that now they have a scuf one infiniti and there is where you can change the paddles, you dont have to take off the grip to change the trigger stops and there is a headphone jack now so you dont have to plug in a adapter
If you have an Xbox One I recommend you wiat to purchase this and see what kind of controller Razer releases. On Xbox 360 I went with the razer sabertooth ($80) compared to Scuf ($150-$300). It had more map able buttons and a save setting for 2 sets in case you went from games like Call of duty to gears of war.
I have four paddles on my 360 scuf and it isn't really necessary. They are great if you have money to blow and want the ULTIMATE controller, but it isn't necessary at all.
Been toying with the idea of getting one of these for a while. I had a Scuf for the 360 and got my moneys worth out of it, but I'm still unsure about whether or not COD: AW and Halo MCC will be enough to warrant buying a Scuf One.
I wonder if you could get a Scuf with just the two inside paddles instead of the standard outside ones. Maybe that would eliminate the finger wear issue.
Luke Scott I don't think it affected the mic. Even with 4 paddles, I am able to put the mic adapter in as easily as a standard controller. I don't have any grips on mine though.
Hey TheXclusiveAce, Nice video! I'm currently doing as much researching on scuf one controllers before investing in them and your video really helps. I was wondering if your controller had any problems so far. How is the shipping time? How durable is your controller?
The PS4 scuff controller labeled the 4PS, will be available on Monday June 30, prices start at $90 on up, the video for the controller is on the scuff gaming website.
Ok so I have this exact controller plus the scuf sticks. There is a video that shows how to attach the chat adapter. You gotta push up on the underside of the chat piece as you slide it into the controller.
Hey what is up guys, i've been thinking of posting a video of my recent not so good experiences with Scuf. When I first saw this product I loved everything about it and became obsessed with researching SCUF products. So I decided to get a SCUF One Controller for this Christmas. I ordered a custom controller with all the little gizmos excluding the custom D-Pad for around $220. I made my order on December 2nd, feeling confident that it would arrive much sooner than Christmas. However, almost 20 days later I had checked my order processing tracker, and my controller had yet to even be set up!!! I finally got my controller today, the day AFTER Christmas, meaning it took 23 days for me to receive my product. I was still excited thinking its better late than never, however, it seems as though SCUF forgot to install one of the most essential features, the Electro-Magnetic Re-mapping, which allows me to customize my paddle controls. I have sent them emails however I am uncertain when i will get a response, as my responses sent two weeks ago about my delayed order processing were seemingly ignored entirely. In addition their phone support is more likely to boot you off the line recommending you to use their email support feature, rather than address your issues. I understand that SCUF is likely experiencing high order volumes during this time of the year, however, the lack of customer support, faulty order processing, and negligence in the actual creation of the controller is simply unacceptable. Aside from these issues previously mentioned, I do enjoy the features that SCUF did remember to add on my controller, although I am not sure if they are worth $200 +..
Before I say this, let me just state the I do love your channel. But another RUclipsr that I watch is sponsored by scuff. So if the price is scaring people away, use the discount code "AliA" and I believe it's like 20% off. Hope this helps anyone interested in purchasing one!
I have the 360 Scuf with 4 paddles. I put sprint on the 3rd paddle so that I don't need to press down the thumbstick to sprint. Just having to click lightly once (you don't need to hold the paddle down, once it's pressed, you're sprinting) on the paddle instead of keeping the stick pushed in all the time, took a lot of restraint and fatigue away from my hands as I often pressed way too hard on the stick in the heat of all the action. The 4th paddle on the other hand is to me useless, can't quite remember what I assigned to it, might have been weapon swap, but I use it so rearly anyways…
I bought a scuf to help win more gun fights, so it's more beneficial to have 2 options when in a gun fight.... either drop shot or jump shot. I never ever knife so I find it pointless having a full paddle just for knifing.
I would only get 2 for jumping and knifing (I play on tactical) and have the electromagnetic remapping for extremely easy shifting in racing games. If you trickshot, 4 paddles would be the way to go, but like he said in the video, reloading and swapping weapons shouldn't be done when you're trying to aim directly at another player, since you can't attack in any way while in the middle of swapping weapons or changing your magazine.
Why would you not get a paddle to drop shot ? the purpose of a scuf controller is to help you win more gun fights, drop shotting and jump shotting are ways to do that, the paddles simply help you do both while maintaining a good accurate shot
DEWD, GET OUT OF MY HEAD! I have the exact same scuf, and everything you said I thought. Great honest review though, the only other issue I have with scuf is that it always takes a month or longer to recieve it... maybe its just my luck, but none the less its very annoying because they advertise 7-15 days to make the controller, not a month...
I got mt scuf abt a week a go and its the best thing ever while bpost jumping and stay9ng on target while people have to move theor finger and stay on target
a questions to anyone who may own a scuf with the scuf thumbsticks. do Kontrolfreeks work on the domed scuf thumbstick? I played ps3 before and was waiting for next gen to purchase a scuf controller. but i dont like the original thumbsticks on either ps4 or xbox one. so i use kontrol freeks and have gotten used to them. thanks! by the way this is by far the best scuf review i have ever watched.
I have a scuf Infinitiy one controller and I do agree with u about how after a while of hitting the paddles with the side of your finger that it does hurt but I think they may be trying to change that I also play on ps4 and have ordered the infinity 1 ps4 controller I have not gotten it yet but the paddles on it curve down with the controller love your Chanel and it would be great if you could do a review on the infinity scuf ps4
Great fair review mate, I have a scuf 360 , and don't play on xbox one coz I simply don't have a scuf for it , so I play 360 instead , the graphics give me motion sickness as well for some reason ?
I play fifa most of the time but I play call of duty and battlefield a little, would it be worth it to buy a scuf and if so what would you recommend I have on it?
Whenever i try to buy one, it wont let me put 2 paddles??? It only gives me the option to put 4 paddles but i want 2? How do i put 2 and not 4??? Theres no option for 2 paddles on the website?????
For your Xbox Home Button (The middle Xbox Logo Button) does yours require quite a bit more pressure for it to turn on than a normal controller? (Like it feels a bit clicky) I don't think I would consider it a problem as it stills works but just needs more pressure for my home button to turn on?
TheXclusiveAce What a coincidence, I went and picked one up after watching your vid and I did use Drift0r's code since you didn't have one. I picked up an AX7 for the XB1 in the configuration you recommended except for the thumbsticks, I just chose the long option for my R. Thanks for the great videos, sorry I couldn't help put some $ in your pocket.
***** That's great! I'd be interested in hearing how you like the long thumbsticks once you get the controller. No worries about the code, Drift0r has shown me and my channel support so I'm glad to give back to him in whatever little way I can. Just knowing this has already helped someone decide on their purchase is payment enough for me!
Just arrived. By my best measure the shaft of the standard stick is 4mm long. The medium (I changed my mind because I found KF's uncomfortably long when I tried them) was 6mm long. It's probably a safe bet that the shaft of the long sticks will be 4mm longer than the standard stick. I have no time in yet but I'm not sure I like the new Combo Grip, the grip contours don't line up to my hands very well, probably should've went with only the Scuf Grip.
I keep finding my official controllers develop the drift fault, do you reckon upgrading to a scuff controller would get around this problem, is the build quality a lot better?
I've had the same issue with my 360 scuf where i could not get my bluethoot adapter properly connected. Some times my controller even shut-off and i had to put it back one again. I dont hope it does the same thing on the xbox one scuf to.
Ive never had a scuf controller, nor will i becauae i dont have that kind ofmoney. But i can deffinately see the paddles messing with ur fingers. I had a similar problem with some games i played on ps2 wen i had to press the X button on racing games
I bought a scuf hybrid last month and haven't really used that much due to overtime at work but one major down fall I found I paid around $150 Canadian for the hybrid one and the communication about it being built and shipped was horrid!!!!! I got an email saying it was in testing and I checked the scuf website for how long that would take and on their website it said around 1-3 days well after a whole week I hadn't heard or gotten an email regarding it and I was worried but nine the less I got an email in the evening on a Saturday that my controller was being shipped out and the fast shipping that is free is great I got it within 1 day of me getting the email saying it was shipped out. I am hoping I can get back on and play soon on the 360 with my scuf hybrid.
When the xbox one came out i taught myself how to play claw, do you think it would still be worth buying one? i dont have the money at the moment but i might be able to save up.
I also play claw and no it isn't worth it, basically the paddles are the main selling point and if you play claw you don't need them. So your paying 140$ for trigger stops and a better grip.
The scuf controller isn't a modded controller and it's not a cheating device. It's an answer to a problem that console gamers have had for years. A lack of control.
The headset wouldn't' have an issue being plugged in if MS would have just gone with the damn industry standard 3.5mm jack instead of that propriety crap.
i got my scuf one 2 days ago and it wont let me use it by telling me i have to turn on my controller plus the home button doesnt respond when i hold it to turn off the xbox nor go to the home screen. The scuf one only turns on when i insert the charging cable to the controller
There should be a little button on the left side of the Xbox One console near the USB port. You'll have to look up the exact process since I don't remember but this is the button you use to connect a new controller.
Do you find the joy sticks on the scuf one offer better sensitivity? Or are they stock? Please and thank you. I saw a review where they said the joy sticks were a lot more percise? Is that true...
If anyone out there can answer this I would be truly grateful , he mentioned the groups filling up his palms more I'm glad to hear that but would anyone happen to know if the controller is a couple of dimensions bigger than the current X 1 controller? please reply thank you!
I have a ScufOne and the only ding I give it is the Microsoft rechargable battery pack doesn't work with it. The bulk of the paddle attachments makes it so the pack just barely doesn't snap closed. I had to go back to batteries:(
The grip allows me to basically lock my hands into place of the controller. With a regular Xbox One controller I find my hands can slide around a bit and I have to readjust constantly. It's relatively minor but it does make a difference.
TheXclusiveAce Really? That's funny because SCUF Gaming tweeted a while back that everybody that ordered a SCUF One will receive a free set of sidewinder paddles if their SCUF didn't come with them.
When I saw the controller in the thumbnail I thought, is this from hell?😳
Left-handed controller
That HD camera looks great, love the detail it brings out, might look into a manicure, the camera see all ;)
after the release of Elite, scuffs are useless, you need to put all that work on just to remove the trigger locks instead of a flip of a switch like the Elite? or switching 3 different thumbsticks which are magnetic and swapable etc all for $150.

PRODIGAL SON who switches all the time on elite the paddles are weird but there both good
your content on this channel is far better than other fps youtubers. Keep up the great work!
I got my scuf a few days ago, only played for couple of hrs so still getting used to it, I went for 2 paddles, pro grip and medium left thumbstick, large right thumbstick. I've looked at lots of review videos and I have to say this has been the best one , keep it up !!
Your videos are great and you deserve more subscribers!
buying a scuf one tomorrow! thanks for the great video.

I gotta disagree with you, Xbox one controller in my opinion is THE most comfortable way to play.
Theres just something about the placement of the right thumbstick; that's the biggest problem
fantastic vid ace, I really want a scuf controller however I don't have the money :(
Believe me, it's better without. If you have an XBONE, you'd better switch to PC.
Nice you finally got one...but I still want one for the old 360
Perfect video! Couldn't be better! Well, at least I don't know how to improve it, if there was something to improve! :D
Perfect review! I niw know that this would be the perfect Christmas present.thank you
Made my own scuff controller for the 360 but £180 for the scuff one they no how to change.. Nice review ace..
Intelligent review. Just subscribed.

Thanks for the update, I am going to be ordering one this week, so I can put that option back on.
Your welcome
Thanks man you just made up my mind :) I shall put my order in now :P

You can buy a tool to rreplace and put back
with the paddle placement
i got one of the 2nd batch scufs and they have a specially positioned and angled paddle for extra comfort
this helps to put the mic in more easliy
Luke Scott I don't think it affected the mic. Even with 4 paddles, I am able to put the mic adapter in as easily as a standard controller. I don't have any grips on mine though.
I agree with you man with scuff paddles controller but i recommend more the 4 paddles
They came out with new paddles that curve more inward in may. Nice change. More Comfy. Wonder if they would upgrade you with those for free?
Hey TheXclusiveAce,

omg a full minute!!! wow!!!!
Looks like they came out with some Sidewinder Paddles, that might help the paddle discomfort.
Well made vid I must say
Before I say this, let me just state the I do love your channel. But another RUclipsr that I watch is sponsored by scuff. So if the price is scaring people away, use the discount code "AliA" and I believe it's like 20% off. Hope this helps anyone interested in purchasing one!
I have the 360 Scuf with 4 paddles. I put sprint on the 3rd paddle so that I don't need to press down the thumbstick to sprint. The 4th paddle on the other hand is to me useless, can't quite remember what I assigned to it, might have been weapon swap, but I use it so rearly anyways…
Thank you Ace! I really been debating if it's worth the money but if you say it legit then ima go ahead a get one!
I've noticed some reviews that say the panels and headset plug are not so great. Its not just you.
Wish I could afford one of these 😍
Logan Polomny why there shitn
i think for me personally 3 paddles would be perfect, one on the left hand side for jumping and two on the right for reloading and knifing
Better with 2, one for jumping the other for dropshotting

Try the N controle avenger. Super good and cheap way to keep your thumb on the analog.
I whant one! Saw more reviews lately. Only have to save money for it.
Is it possible to remove the paddles? Thanks and great vid btw!
dont worry about the mic thing because if you spend that much money on a controller you should have a decent mic
What do the paddles do, now? This is something I've never heard of.. It sounds interesting.
I got mt scuf abt a week a go and its the best thing ever while bpost jumping and stay9ng on target while people have to move theor finger and stay on target
Looking at the thumbnail I thought this was some kind of like left handed controller or something because of the inverted picture.
I ordered my scuf one 2 months ago and it's still in pre-assembly
a questions to anyone who may own a scuf with the scuf thumbsticks. do Kontrolfreeks work on the domed scuf thumbstick? I played ps3 before and was waiting for next gen to purchase a scuf controller. but i dont like the original thumbsticks on either ps4 or xbox one. so i use kontrol freeks and have gotten used to them. thanks!
by the way this is by far the best scuf review i have ever watched.
Can you remove the things under the paddles that the battery pack goes into wgen tge paddles are on(sorry I forgot the name)
Ace, do you know if they will ever make one for the PS4?¿
Dose ur hand start to fell soar after a while ????
Not at all with the new Sidewinder paddles
Great fair review mate, I have a scuf 360 , and don't play on xbox one coz I simply don't have a scuf for it , so I play 360 instead , the graphics give me motion sickness as well for some reason ?
Lol better graphics give you motion sickness I feel bad for you
I play fifa most of the time but I play call of duty and battlefield a little, would it be worth it to buy a scuf and if so what would you recommend I have on it?
For your tigger stops, are those the concealed adjustable trigger and stop mechanism?
Whenever i try to buy one, it wont let me put 2 paddles??? It only gives me the option to put 4 paddles but i want 2? How do i put 2 and not 4??? Theres no option for 2 paddles on the website?????
My problem is when I punch in CoD AW I start to press the joystick harder and I sometimes press it too hard that I feel like I might break it.
what actions do you use the paddles for? If using paddles for a particular action is that action removed from button/stick!
R supposed to use your middle fingers with the paddles
I used mine for a week and the paddles dont click anymore
He look younger obviously 😮
They need to make a flipping ps4 scuf
For your Xbox Home Button (The middle Xbox Logo Button) does yours require quite a bit more pressure for it to turn on than a normal controller? (Like it feels a bit clicky) I don't think I would consider it a problem as it stills works but just needs more pressure for my home button to turn on?
If you want trigger stops do u have to order trigger mechanism bc on 360 the trigger stop came with them
I've been missing my Scuf, especially when playing PvZ. Can't wait to get a new one.
No coupon code?
I don't have a code since I'm not affiliated with SCUF but I can refer you to Drift0r's code "DRFT" for 5% off.
TheXclusiveAce
What a coincidence, I went and picked one up after watching your vid and I did use Drift0r's code since you didn't have one.
I picked up an AX7 for the XB1 in the configuration you recommended except for the thumbsticks, I just chose the long option for my R.
Thanks for the great videos, sorry I couldn't help put some $ in your pocket.
*****
That's great! I'd be interested in hearing how you like the long thumbsticks once you get the controller. No worries about the code, Drift0r has shown me and my channel support so I'm glad to give back to him in whatever little way I can. Just knowing this has already helped someone decide on their purchase is payment enough for me!

I have no time in yet but I'm not sure I like the new Combo Grip, the grip contours don't line up to my hands very well, probably should've went with only the Scuf Grip.
Can you still get this controller?
Should have bought these years ago!
I keep finding my official controllers develop the drift fault, do you reckon upgrading to a scuff controller would get around this problem, is the build quality a lot better?
no they have the same problems
I just got a scuff one how the heck do I remap the buttons?
I've had the same issue with my 360 scuf where i could not get my bluethoot adapter properly connected. Some times my controller even shut-off and i had to put it back one again. I dont hope it does the same thing on the xbox one scuf to.
Ive never had a scuf controller, nor will i becauae i dont have that kind ofmoney. But i can deffinately see the paddles messing with ur fingers. I had a similar problem with some games i played on ps2 wen i had to press the X button on racing games
im trying to buy a controller with a good micro USB port
I bought a scuf hybrid last month and haven't really used that much due to overtime at work but one major down fall I found I paid around $150 Canadian for the hybrid one and the communication about it being built and shipped was horrid!!!!! I am hoping I can get back on and play soon on the 360 with my scuf hybrid.
this isnt spam its the truth
When the xbox one came out i taught myself how to play claw, do you think it would still be worth buying one? i dont have the money at the moment but i might be able to save up.
I also play claw and no it isn't worth it, basically the paddles are the main selling point and if you play claw you don't need them. So your paying 140$ for trigger stops and a better grip.
If you order the normal scuf grip with the xbox 360 is it the same as the grip that you get with xbox one ??
Dose that grip make the controller to a lot thicker I have med size hand and dont want to have a problem holding it
Quick question, Im on their website and all I see is the 4 paddle controller, am I doing something wrong?
isn't scuf grip just a bed liner
does also scuf controllers exist for Playstation? And if they exist do they look like ps controllers or xbox?
they do! they are for playstation and as a playstation controller but they are still working on the ps4 controller
If your looking for a ps4 controller with the buttons on the back then you can look at imagine custom dragons.
The scuf controller isn't a modded controller and it's not a cheating device. It's an answer to a problem that console gamers have had for years. A lack of control.
Can i ask a question? why do you even remove the usb adapter from your scuf one anyways?? lol That dose not make very much sense.
What are paddles
What do they do
The dude on the MODCENTRALUSA channel will make a Scuf-style controller for anybody for $45 if you ship him your controller.
The headset wouldn't' have an issue being plugged in if MS would have just gone with the damn industry standard 3.5mm jack instead of that propriety crap.
not a full min to plug your mic in!?!?!
can you do a updated version
i got my scuf one 2 days ago and it wont let me use it by telling me i have to turn on my controller plus the home button doesnt respond when i hold it to turn off the xbox nor go to the home screen.
I have the stock ones but you can get SCUF stick of different lengths if you want
If anyone out there can answer this I would be truly grateful , he mentioned the groups filling up his palms more I'm glad to hear that but would anyone happen to know if the controller is a couple of dimensions bigger than the current X 1 controller? please reply thank you!
how do you set the paddles to what you want?
I have a ScufOne and the only ding I give it is the Microsoft rechargable battery pack doesn't work with it. The bulk of the paddle attachments makes it so the pack just barely doesn't snap closed. I had to go back to batteries:(
I got the wired version with no batteries and it is much better.
I have a Scuf One and still use my Microsoft play and charge kit. This might be a problem with you particular controller.
Sorry but the Grifta gamepad makes this thing look obsolete
how is it more comfortable?? it's just a regular xbox one controller made by microsoft that's "modded" am i right or wrong? care to explain please?
The grip allows me to basically lock my hands into place of the controller. With a regular Xbox One controller I find my hands can slide around a bit and I have to readjust constantly. It's relatively minor but it does make a difference.
Does the wireless come with charger kit people got it but sum didnt if you buy it how much on website
Have you changed your opinion about the paddles since you got the sidewinder paddles?
I still haven't received my sidewinders
TheXclusiveAce Really? That's funny because SCUF Gaming tweeted a while back that everybody that ordered a SCUF One will receive a free set of sidewinder paddles if their SCUF didn't come with them.
