muchas gracias , me ayudaste con este tutorial , estaba buscando un efecto simple de daño para un enemigo , ahora lo que hago es en el blueprint del enemigo añado y quito el overlay material , justo cuando recibe daño con eso logre un efecto similar a cuando los arcades con enemigos brillando cuando los golpeaba

Any ideas how to set replication behavior for this? I want it to be replicated if I use it for powerups or something like that, but when I use it to show a selected object (or to show what I'm interacting with) it shouldn't be replicated. All players should see powerups, but when everyone sees what one player is selecting it gets confusing ;)

could you deepen the tutorial by doing this but when the player has their cursor on the object to interact with it??
Bro!! Now I’m using UE5 version 5.4 and I see the trace when I attack the dummy is less than in your video 1 year ago. So does it have any effect? 😅
At my end, this Overlay Material doesn't seem to work. I've added it to every type of object as a test, but nothing changes :/ Any ideas?
is there a way to do this but make it so the material is slightly bigger than the base mesh, like a force field type of look or would it need to be a separate mesh outlining the character to get that effect?
you could push the vertices outwards with world position offset I guess.
Probably something like multiplying the vertex normal with a scalar and plug it in WPO
