Speculation here from things I'm hearing is that Ncuti is at a point in his time where the guilt grief and pain of his whole life have been resolved (the one scene where he says "I'm fine because you fix yourself", whereas talking about Sarah Jane "I loved her." "I loved her." So at some point in time, maybe on screen, maybe off, 14 dies and regenerates into Ncuti proper. We may never see it, (Remember Capaldi's "No sir, all thirteen." to my knowledge never was revisited from his/our POV, since Smith was still the current Doctor when that scene happened.)
I love this theory I’ve read something similar online essentially saying that when he ‘dies’ he’ll become ncuiti’s doctor. I liked the curator theory but i think this makes more sense.
A more complete version of this theory i heard is that when 14 dies, maybe of old age, he'll "dissolve" and his essence will travel back in time to the body of his younger self where he'll spawn as 15, thus closing he time loop. Also, the reason 15 acts more mature is not because of his own experience but becuse he has 14's future memories, so 15 himself is brand new and has yet to start his life cycle.
@@grandmasterbale Wouldn't surprise me if they've already filmed Ncuti as he is now, doing his side of 14's actual future regeneration (70th Anniversary!?!), then being warped (or whatever term you wanna use) into the 14/15 bi-generation.
Melanie was a companion of the Sixth and Seventh Doctors. In this one episode she was better written than in the 22 episodes she was in during the 20th Century.
I think David's Doctor will live a normal life span and not regenerate again because all his regeneration energy went to the 15th Doctor. That energy is the reason Time Lords live so long.
Nope, 14 and 15 are BOTH the doctor. The Toymaker's influence allowed the imposable to happen. This is a bit like a meta crisis but one person over two time lines. 15 if from WAY in 14s future (You fix your self, we're time lords, we are doing rehab out of order. 15 is emotionally stable because 14 takes all the time he needs to heal. Dona - How long, how long until you are ok. 14 - A million years. In a million years 14 will regenerate in to 15 and fully transform/begone and 15 will kind of echo back to where we see him here. This is a future regeneration, happening in the past.
@@backtoearth1983 This is my interpretation too. First I went along with the '14 is going to become the curator' but 15th comment clearly says that 14 is going to fix them both. I am curious to see, if we going to see 14th regeneration and what happens to 15 at that 'moment'. I can imagine it might be that he just 'Wakes up' next to 14. The only thing that is puzzeling then is that 15 seems to not to remember his bigeneration -> "what the hell is going on here". This might be explained by wibly wobly timy wimy stuff though.
I guess retroactively you must read what the Timelords did to 11 as 'We pretend to give him more regenerations so he doesn't find out, that he regenerate an unknown amount of times anyway".
Because of The Toymaker's Domain affecting everything the Bi-generation was due to The Toymaker's powers. there for the 14th and the 15th doctor are one in the same. the 14th will regenerate into another timelord much as the 15th will. Basically The Toymaker's reality warping powers altered the rules and fundamentals of the Regeneration process for that one time.
Meta crisis doctor will grow old and never regenerate he has a time Lord brain and a human body this doctor will grow old and never regenerate but will love hundreds of years like the original doctor did he has a full time Lord body just not regenerations
It took me a few hours after watching to accept and understand the bi regeneration thing. This is definitely Russell drawing a line in the sand. It's probably why he's saying that the next series is called season one. I like that the Doctor that we have been watching for 60 years has finally got a happy ending while the character still goes on through the 15th. That being said I smell a Doctor Donna series cooking...
Bigenerational from what I can make out from BTS and dialogue... This is not two doctors, this is still one Doctor. 14 will eventually regenerate completely in to 15 at the point we see him do it here. 15 comes from WAYYYY in to the future in a way, after 14 has lived a normal life. 14 is effectively living a normal-ish life as a means to rehabilitate himself and for once in his existence, rest. When he has done that (maybe a million years like he said to Donna in ep2) he will be ready to go and the time line goes back to the regeneration in to 15. It's a bit like a meta Crysis but rather than two timelords at the same time, it's one split over two timelines 15 is emotionally stable because 14 takes all the time he needs to heal. Dona - How long, how long until you are ok. 14 - A million years. In a million years 14 will regenerate in to 15 and fully transform/begone and 15 will kind of echo back to where we see him here. Here's the deal, timeless child doesn't necessarily conflict with TotD. The Time Lords were wiping his memories after each 12 regenerations, but he always had unlimited. When they "granted" additional regenerations it was theatre! He was going to regenerate no matter what, but for them to maintain "control" over him they made him believethey granted more.
@@grandmasterbale I dislike the timeless child but i did like the cartmell masterplan so i'm just taking the child as a representation of the Other - pick and choose what you want and ignore the rest, a doctor who tactic :)

People have theories that he becomes the curator from the 50th anniversary which probably makes more sense
@@grandmasterbale given that rtd has said past doctors also had bigenerations now, 4 himself is probably the curator.

I think the ending was absolutely earned!! Donna has been telling the doctor to slow down and take a rest for 15 years!

Ncuit got the undies and tie so David is very much commando in those trousers :D
I do find it mildly hilarious that he was battling for the fate of the earth commando lmao
I'm loving people slowly coming to this realization XD

100% agree with you about the Toymaker, he was built up to be this huge threat, and then in the end he just...wasn't?
