SAGA Battle Report - Age of Vikings, Vikings Vs Normans

- Welcome to this battle report with my good pal Adie, he will be using my ever so slightly unfinished Normans and I will be using my Vikings in the epic Dark Age clash of armies.
The scenario is that we both place objective and each won is worth differing points, the player with the most points at the end of turn 5 (possibly 6) will be the winner, no points for kills, just objectives.
Sit back, press play and enjoy.
The board reminds me heavily on the old Lord of the Rings demo gaming table from GW. Really loving these 🙂

Hi... There are a few mistakes if i remember the rules correctly:
Saves in melee are on 5, saves against ranged combat are on 4 if you don't use the fatique-markers.
Your very correct there, and I know that whoops, sorry for the error but well spotted.
12 levies should do 4 attacks for having missile weapons not 6 :) no?

i really liked the look of normans i have all anglo-saxons, anglo-danes and vikings. My frined has carolingians (sorry if spelled badly)
also the terain was amazing what a shame the fort wasnt usable 😂
This game seems a bit skewed to the Vikings with all the Valhala, Thor, etc
Actually it’s more the fact I was using a new board and had not optimised my force, should have taken some different units ideally.
Having played it a lot, every board is very different but all can beat each other

Normans without shooting and few mounted. Vikings with bows. Que?

And Normans with Dane Axes?
did really the normans use kite shields on foot?

Great to see Saga Battle reports on the internet. If I may ask, what materials did you use to create the rocky ground areas on your board?

Normans and Vikings are not the same ?
Isn't the "We Obey" ability only reserved for 'legendary' leaders? Or, do you just use it for every game?
Every warlord Has Access to this ability
