Good playthrough. 😀 But why does the range reduce the penetration of the bazooka's rocket from 5 to 4 (30.01)? The weapon fired a HEAT shaped-charge missile, and although range would have an impact on whether the missile hit or not, it would have no effect at all on the penetrative power of the warhead when it did hit.

Thanks for those, I'm just learning the rules. A bit confused about the flight rules, can a flying creature do a double move, and is that 12 " twice?

Wow, I wrote and played a 1K list with 20 Order dice against my mate's French 29 order dice list. Hearing you say 10 and 12 dice makes me think you've gone very thematic. Thanks for the vid

Pinning is much different. I get the elimination of many modifiers but really miss the small team modifier so better screen your leaders. Army composition will take me a while to bend my head around. MG teams might be worth it and interesting take on half firepower of MGs on moving vehicles. Would've liked to see something with pinned units getting assaulted. I'm liking that "Captain America" marker!

My sbg group is currently running this battle company campaign, just finished this scenario and felt it was my favorite so far. We’re replacing the ice bay one with a reworking of Balin’s tomb in lead up to the drake fight. Hope you continue this campaign and upload that drake horde fight eventually.

I’ve been following all the hype online, but you can’t beat a battle report, which demonstrates how the new game will play out. Large static infantry teams, lots of mortars, tanks still as useless as V2, but cheaper to take? Where are we going? Have they created a WW1 game? Looks like old 40K players might be interested, but for me the jury’s still out. Great report, very informative and just what we needed with only a couple of weeks to release. Thank you guys

Nice to see WM batt-reps. Some pointers: When shooting hits are scored you roll the same amount of dice equal to the unsaved hits. Add all the pips on the dice. That is the distance you must retreat. If a 6 is rolled the unit also becomes confused. If a unit behind the retreating unit makes way it must roll to see if it becomes confused (on a 6). If it does not make way the retreating unit may not retreat further and becomes auto. confused. When the Giant attacked the Eagles they had to fallback just the difference in cc resolution so 6cm. Question, why didn’t you turn your Eagles around when they flew over. Didn’t they had enough rang? Keep-up the game, it’s such a nice sistem 😊💪

Fun little game - your Gondorians made light work of those ruffians and got some great XP! I had a much tougher time with my hobbits recently! Is you son going to be running a company as well? A couple of notes - Gondor warriors only have a bow, which is S2, so would be wounding on 5s rather than 4s. You didn't get any bow kills so it didn't matter in the end, but worth noting. Also, you can't shoot past an ally engaged in combat, so on turn 2 neither of your archers have a shot (page 38 - Shooting From Behind Friends in the rulebook). Also, don't forget that you'll need to buy a lance for your sergeant for 1 influence, as he currently has a spear instead. 3 attacks on the charge will be brutal this early on though!

The panther knights wouldn't have gotten to counter charge, and so wouldn't have been using lances.

I played this game when it was released - a long time ago. unfortunaly it was not that popular (each one decided for GW). And because of this it was very hard to find other players. Later I sold it - I regret it

Great battle Report! Couple of rules mistakes: 1. Panic tests happen when you take the casualties and not at the of the phase anymore. 2. There is no +1 to hit large targets anymore. 3. You can't March and shoot breath weapons or magic missiles. Hard to tell but looks like the dragon marched turn 2.

It's hard to find a battle report where dwarfs win.

Do a showcase of the army and the units while you review the lists!

Vortex spells are cast in the shooting phase and THE TEMPLATE CANNOT TOUCH A MODEL'S BASE WHEN YOU'RE PLACING IT. I said the same thing in your chaos vs empire video. You also need to make a caged fury test every turn for the hellcannon. Your models in the fighting rank but not in base to base only get one attack so you need to choose between the rider or mount for that one attack.

FYI, Chaos knights and Chosen Chaos Knights are both able to take lances. First entry in the list of options for both units. 2pts per model

I see lots of players play the Vikings in very different ways. I never use Valhalla, and always use Loki. But it is your army, your choice. Most tournaments don't allow cavalry to move the way the Huns did, as someone else has already pointed out. Great report, I really enjoyed it.

I think I'll be swapping her out for a different Gamorrah wrestler, maybe The Enforcer from House of Talent, she looks cool.

I'm not sure if I should feel bad for the poor lass getting dragged in front of the camera. It was a fun match though.

I'll have to remember this once I've got enough wrestlers. I wonder how it might work mixed with tag teams.

Hi Guy's Great video, really like the style. just a question over the placement of the front rank of the mounted being placed at right angles to the rest of the unit ? How does that work in the latest edition of the rules ? Thought you had to move in straight lines from the "front" edge of your base. did seem a way to get more guys in range of shooting. Keep the games coming

I guess something went wrong with the cutting in the first minutes, because the army introduction happens after turn 1? I noted that you mixed up some armor stats within the Saga videos. Levy and warriors with javelins have armor 3 in melee and armor 4 in shooting. The guy with huns here seemed very familiar with saga rules. Also a quick note for the previous game: If you want to use Odin, you can use any fatigue that already is on the unit first, e.g. if the javelin warriors that decide to shoot you have 1 fatigue and you want to exhaust them, use the existing fatigue first to increase your armor and later trigger Odin- they still end up exhausted. I'm looking forward to more Saga content, I guess for never players such battle reports are a great way to learn Saga or learn something about different faction playstyles.
