There’s 3 types of people who buy the Crown Vic’s nowadays: 1. Felons violating probation (always on the temp plates or no plates at all also constantly reeks of weed) 2. Wannabe cops 3. Cheap RWD V8 go brrrrrrrrrr (usually straightpiped, welded diff, and the potential of a 5 speed swap)
I actually got mine because how good they sound straight piped/ True Dual, but also the fact the car rides like an absolute cloud, the seats are really comfortable an amazing en for a V8 dit gets pretty good gas mileage I also like the fact that these cars are hard to swing, so no dumbass take over kids can ruine this cars reputation like with the G35's en Hellcats
4. Senior citizens. I’m only 28, but the crown vic speaks to my elderly sense of taste lol. Also, body on frame rwd v8 car. It’s like my pickup truck, but a car.
The P71 reminds me of a guy in my town with a black decommissioned cop Explorer. Amber lightbar, bullbar, the whole nine. He got arrested for impersonating a police officer at a gas station while he worked as a security guard because he got the most cop-looking uniform and badge he could lol As much as the cop equipment tingles my tism, driving around in a LARPmobile is a surefire way to let everyone in your small town know you're not right in the head.
I bought a $1500 crown vic interceptor a month thought it was good deal for a crown vic it turned out to be a huge pos so now I'm selling it because the car isn't worth the steelies it's on.
I miss my ‘99 P71. It was a super clean Orange County Sheriff Detective car and had the “street package” to make it look less Cop car like. It was so much fun to drive.
Im looking under hood at the SC300 now, but I guess this could apply to any car that may need the part replaced or maintenanced it: Before you go aftermarket on the intake, try getting some 4ply silicon hose, and replacing the stock stuff so you have a nice seal, and get a washable, dry flow drop in filter for your stock airbox. I know a lot of people love stock looks, but salt, and, other people, can be tough on a lot of the plastic and rubber. A "custom" intake for the sc300 for example: 90 off the manifold into a 30 degree, couple the sensor and airbox on a long straight section. Get new hoseclamps and t bolt hardware, and just make a night of getting that stuff replaced or painted. If youre in a salty place coat it with anything. Rusto, dollar store nail polish, rust inhibitor, whatever it takes with your boys and some returnable beverages, and make it nice. For turbo vehicles Boost and charge can be fixed up the same way if youre not already on a hard pipe system. There are even hose couplings that have ports in them for sensors or spray. If you do need to paint something, make sure you have lots of satin black, satin silver, and your ride's touch up paint. I clean before and after I sand with iso or denatured, then paint. Even if its not an exact match, just getting stuff cleaned up like that can go a long way to getting you to the next soon, and making sure theres lots of soons.
Hey thats my sc. The stupid sticker was put on by the old guy surprisingly and I've gotten rid of it since these photos were taken almost a year ago. Since this was sent in i've redone almost every hose in the car with a new oem (or as close to oem I can get) part. Thanks for all the tips but I luckily I live in az where it is lucky to rain, much less snow.
8:50, snow car actually means a winter beater, in Canada the winters can be pretty rough, so the roads are sand and salted, so driving your nice car during the winter is stupid because it'll just rust away in 5ish years
Me and my dad used to buy and sell cars from the auctions. We have bought and sold probably over 20 p71s. Most common issue is the plastic intake cracking or the coils going bad. One trick is that there's a button for the odometer and if you press it a certain amount of times you get the idle hours and you'll be fucking astonished because you can take the mileage and multiply it by 3 or 4 and that is the actual mileage on the engine because of the excessive idling.
My intake manifold cracked like 2 months after i got my vic so i replaced it with an oem manifold from ebay and not the cheap Dorman one and coils went out not to long after so i went with ngk coils and motor craft platinum spark plugs
I dailied a p71 Crown Vic for 6 years. A silver 2003 with the street appearance package but I did swap to dog dishes. I used to drift and burnout all the time and I never got in trouble once. I thought about getting a push bar so I could hit shit with it but I don't drive it much anymore.
I used to have one…I had a job where I had to commute and hour and some change one way into work, needed a comfortable car to hold my work stuff and have some power on the highway…. And mind you this was when you could get a p71 interceptor for like $1500 at police auction. Added bonus everyone got outta my way when I would be flying in the left hand lane. Car only felt big once I got off the highway haha😂
I once had a 1988 Chevy Caprice, Travis County TX, Detective Squad car. It was solid bronze, dual spotlights, limo tint with three whip radio antennae's. I ended up selling due to complications with my first wife. I really wish I had just sold her as the car was special to me.
I daily drive a 1981 Plymouth Gran Fury highway patrol car, it's got 175k miles and 42 years under its belt and still going strong, they built that thing insanely tough
About the NB. They all are almost all nardi steering wheels. The only different really is where the nardi logo is. Sometimes it is in the center of the airbag. Sometimes it is in the center of the bottom spoke. Tbh the is the first one I've seen without it in either of those places
PS: The NB miata only gets the center Nardi in the NB1 (Nardi on horn). In 2001 and 2002 it gets the Nardi moved off the horn and onto the lower steering wheel. In 2003 to 2005 the Nardi shifter gets discontinued, and it only says Nardi INSIDE the wheel (like, stamped in the plastic, on the other side of the mold, out of view). even though all the wheels are still Nardis. lmao. Mazda wanted to keep the design but not the licensing I guess.
Id like to get on a future episode of this. My daily is a veloster N. And ive got a couple 300 whp wrxs, one winter beater, one bagged show car. Also a 300zx project car that hasnt ran in years lol 😅
I owned my crown victoria p71 for 7 years before I sold it a couple months ago. I had people ask me if it's true that the car has a cop chip to be fast and once I was told that the California cop ones are supercharged 😂
Oh my god I've been asked that same ode bullshit question within the 2 Crown Victoria's Police Interceptors I've owned in my life time. I usually just let them know that dit is an ode wives tell haha lekker 😅
@@hydrohyperdrive8443 Yeah its always funny but it was a really common question that i got when i was using the vic to do pizza deliveries lol. I miss that car it was fun as hell

If I was that 16 year old with that white Lexus[mint], I would IMMEDIATELY save up $2k, buy a shitbox and drive the shitbox around. I would NEVER drive that Lexus, you give it 15 more years, that car will be worth 35k-50k in the condition its in right now, keep it in a garage, hell I would pay for a storage unit, just so it was kept indoors
I work security, the police stuff isn't needed lol. Lightbar is cool but you shouldn't have reds and blues PERIOD. This is literally just impersonation lol
if the yall dont like the cop car solely because of race issues , as a black dude i think its pretty sick. Just take off the light bar and the controversial plate ( i dont really care about it , i respect our police ) and it will be kinda cool.
the cop car is so dumb, usually those cars have been driven hard and treated like shit and only get sold when they are on their last leg. Now he got some cop shit in it but the engine gona be dead in 5k miles or the transmission is going to die
Right at 17:46, Netgear played the big brother role and told it like it is dude. Preach on keeping that SC300 stock. Talk that talk big man.

are they not used as "donks" anymore? I saw old jacked up crown vics all the time in Atlanta back in 2010.
