It’s not just that Doug is popular, you guys do yourselves a disservice thinking that. You and Doug have the best chemistry together, it’s not an interview it’s a couple of friends shooting the shit for a few hours. It comes across in the videos, I think that’s why when he’s on the views are so much higher.
Man, I can't watch Doug's videos. But he's such s great guest.
Doug is a loser.
Actually thinking about this more, I think my main issue with Doug's videos is his overwhelming enthusiasm talking to the camera about the cars while they are parked. As an Australian that just rubs me wrong, because we are generally deprecating people. But that same enthusiasm works SO damn well in his conversation.

I absolutely love Doug and Matt (that Hennessey Blackwing video was epic), and I cannot describe how much I love these podcasts with him. Its such a great discussion and it really is like just listening in to the garage on saturday and hearing two dudes chat about cars. I love it and look forward to this almost yearly discussion...

The ford explorer talk hit me directly in the feeeeels! My dad got one as a company vehicle in 97 working for Radio Shack in Maine! Got a hand me down one at first, but then in 1998, got a brand new one. I thought we were the coolest people around. Those things for sure were everywhere in the north east. That thing was so cool, to 12 year old me😂

We already know Matt and Zack smoke, and I’m pretty sure Doug does too based on a few of his videos. That would make for a great patreon show, the 3 of them, blazing some good herb and BSing about cars. Call it Cars and Bud’s as someone mentioned above
As the former owner of a 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition I love when Matt mentions his Mountaineer or Villager Nautica Edition because a completely inordinate amount of time is spent discussing Ford Explorers and clothing-related trim levels.

Surprised when talking about prototype the Jaguar C-X75 is never mentioned. Honestly its one of the most beautiful cars ever and even by todays standards is seriously quick. Definitely agree on the Porsche Panamera if you can afford the up keep as a total bargain.

Peak Car - 2012ish - 2015. All the modern muscle was peaking...Coyote, Hellcat, GT500, ZR1, Z06, Grand Sport, Boss 302, Cayman S, 991 series, E92 BMW....everything current is an evolution of this era, with just tablets jammed in dashes. Even trucks and SUVs fall into this now. Best value, and will be relevant for years to come.

I do solemnly and sincerely swear that I will watch this podcast collab for the rest of my entire life! 🔥 The entirety of the podcast was solid from beginning to end - admittedly love you guys’ relaxed, natural, unscripted chemistry more than any of the TST podcasts.
One of the weirdest accessories I’ve seen. Hyundai Tucson had a special edition for The Walking Dead and it came with a backpack with zombie survival gear. I worked for Hyundai and I remember selling one.
A 2001 Base model neon with a manual started my love for cars. My older brother had one and ripped a fat burnout in front of our house and i was hooked on car stuff since lmao.

A friend of mine owned one once, I drove it for maybe 30 minutes, and the auto box malfunctioned twice during that trip. Had to pull over, turn the ignition off and back on to get it going.

I'm surprised on the "Starting via keypad" conversation Doug didn't bring up the citroen Xantia he reviewed
ive heard the chinese government subsidizes the production and sales of EV's. from what ive heard the companies will build the cars for less than the subsidy, then sell it to a third party company they own. without the sale they dont get the government money. thats why there are many fields in china with sold EV's just parked. so for example: government offers $20k per car. they build it for 10k, "sell" it for 20k, park it it a random field. pocket the 10k. rinse repeat.

Commissioned cars are NEEDED. Most cars I like, I want a wagon version of anyway. Even with the Lucid. Especially with the Lucid. So might a shop be able to make a wagon from the Gravity's rear door and the sedan? Imagine the Sapphire WAGON. Wide body, if you missed it. And handling well, according to some.
I'd consider lowering the Gravity, but dropping the roof won't work, glass is already low. Need to drop the door and everything. I love renders of S Class and EQS wagons. Just a bit bigger. Like a lowered R-Class, which to me isn't ugly.
I felt the frustration watching too with the Lambo killing power!
Definitely need to get that back when sorted guys!
