The Jean-Claude story remind me of a story of mine. I was working for a company and one of the executives had a gorgeous white e34 535i with a manual and grey interior. I told him if he ever wanted to sell it. I would like to buy it. I kept waiting. I ended up buying a more luxurious car than I had before. Right after, someone told me that he just bought a new car. so there was a Green E39 in his parking space. I never did get his car. Which reminds me of another thing, I had a friend who got t-boned. his car was going to cost more than the car was worth to repair. I told him at the time that it was going to get totaled. I found a beautiful Ford Probe GT. We looked at the car, but he hadn't been paid by the insurance company yet. He had enough money he could have bought the car. Afterwards he told me that the insurance company declared a salvaged and they were going to give him a check. he went to me and said do you still have the number for the probe owner. This was before most people had cell phones. I go, no man. He probably already sold it. Then I found him a third generation Toyota Supra turbo, that had a ton of work done to it the car was clean as can be. I was tempted to buy it. I went and looked at it. Then I took him over to look at it. He didn't like that it was a manual, cloth interior, and red. He ended up buying a much worse Black 3rd gen Supra. which he threw a lot of money into and sold it cheap

We owned a CL Type S. It was a blast to drive, was a great daily and one of the first cars we ever owned with factory GPS (primitive by today's standards, but great for its time).
