      Shouldn’t there be a pound of greens?

    • @jennifersanteler1063
      @jennifersanteler1063 6 месяцев назад +6

      @@liastewart9967 I believe the protocol is 1 pound of cruciferous veggies and/or greens combined. You don't need greens if you are eating minimum 1 lb. of cruciferous veggies. :)

    • @degypt8864
      @degypt8864 6 месяцев назад +1

      Agree with Jennifer, it is 1 pound of any cruciferous veggies or greens total including spinach, swiss chard or kale in the list of things to get the total 1 lb. If you wanted to eat 1lb of broccoli and guacamole you could. That is what she did for years before getting to the smoothies in her journey. If it is easier for you to do a smoothie, go for it. Or do a combination. It's all great for us.

    • @leahw6354

      @@liastewart9967it doesn't have to be greens. 1lb raw dark leafy greens/cruciferous. Purple cabbage is cruciferous. It's good to measure to make sure you're getting at least 1 lb in total.

      @NinasPlantBasedVeganRecipes  8 месяцев назад +1

      For a salad dressing, I will either use fruit to dress the salad, or I’ll use an oil free balsamic vinegar. On my blog, realdiethelp.com, on the right side if using a computer, or on an iPhone, scroll to the bottom, look for favorites, oil-free salad dressings, click on that and it will take you directly to California Balsamic oil-free vinegars. My favorite is the dill balsamic.

      Ten minutes in the sun each day without sunscreen may or may not be sufficient, depending on your skin color, time of year and where you live. Avoid direct sunlight at the hottest times of the day, usually from 11am - 2 pm. Lissa's Raw Vegan Romance has items she recommends on her Amazon account. You might want to try the vegan Vitamin D she uses if your Vitamin D level is below 20.

      I only put fruit as dressing on my salads because the only salad dressings I like have nuts or seeds, which is not allowed on Dr. Goldner protocol because they are high in omega six fatty acids which can delay healing.

    Get a bigger knife, 9" chef's, it will do the work for you; and use the part of the blade closer to the handle, left hand, curl your fingers so the knife hits your knuckles - that way the cutting edge is farther from your fingers holding the carrot. If you cut it lengthwise in half, it wont roll away. Bon appetit!

    I love your take with the recipes but It doesn’t have the 1 pound of cruciferous vegetables or dark leafy greens and the 96 oz of water. The only part of the protocol you did was the omega 3… the greens/cruciferous vegetables are one of the most important. But what you ate was unbelievably healthy, so maybe it worked for you that way

    • @ninasnutritionandwellnessvideo
      @ninasnutritionandwellnessvideo 9 месяцев назад +5

      It contains over a pound of cruciferous vegetables: the kale and red cabbage are both cruciferous. The flax cookies contain omega 3s. I’ll eat 2-4 flax cookies a day=1/2 - 1 cup flax. I drink water 💧 throughout the day and night so I’ve got that covered too

      @@ninasnutritionandwellnessvideo in the rapid recovery she was very strict about packing the greens very tightly in the blender to make sure we were getting the right amount of greens. I wasn’t successful with her protocol bc the seeds messed my stomach up bad but I’m looking for other ways to modify the protocol to work for me. OmG, if I would eat that much flax seed, I would be so constipated!!!!! . Beware of the amount of those seeds you put in your food. They expand in your colon and if you do not drink enough, the consequences are not very nice. Also seeds have a lot of fat as well. A little goes a long way.

    • @NinasPlantBasedVeganRecipes
      @NinasPlantBasedVeganRecipes  10 месяцев назад +7

      Flax have lots of fiber. I drink about 90 oz of water a day and am never constipated. I was initially worried about all the fat in flax seeds but Dr Goldner explains that they attach to cells, are high in omega three healthy fats, and are healing. I reversed anemia and Type 1 diabetes on her high fat, raw vegan 🌱 protocol.
