There was a couple things I was confused about. And you cleared them up in this video so thanks again, post more if you think it's something that we could benefit from. I enjoyed it ❤
I really appreciate your video. I went on a plant based lifestyle about 3 years ago. My life has changed for the better because of it. I love learning more when i can. I've subscribed to your channel.
I like to add a little seaweed to my smoothy (Nori sheets or Wakame, after being softened in water). They have lots of B12, Iodine and also iron, magnesium, sodium and calcium. All of the things that many veggies lack or have little of. If you add a lot, you can taste it, but it goes very well with camomile (just add the contents of a tea bag), lychee or mango. In the end, B12 supplements are just made of pressed seaweed but way more expensive usually.
Thanks for sharing! Seaweed is great for many things! I use a little dulse flakes every day for the iodine, but my B12 was on the lower end on my last check, so I always make sure to supplement that one.
Your video has helped me understand exactly what Dr goldner’s protocol actually is … I could not understand it so gave away her books … maybe I missed the explanations in her books but your explanation is definitely more clearly defined. Thank you so much!
You're welcome! And you're not alone, I felt the exact same way about her books. The books are fascinating and I love reading the case studies, but I felt like the actual explanation of the protocol was unclear. I'm glad my video was helpful!
No need to grind chia, the surface of chia seeds is delicate and easily breaks apart when exposed to moisture. In this way, they are absorbed and digested well in their whole form, unlike flax seeds.
Thanks for the comment! In this video I'm talking about Dr. Goldner's protocols and for her full protocol she says whole chia seeds can be consumed, but they don't count towards the protocol minimums. In order to count them for the protocol, she says chia seeds must be ground.
@@TampaBouncehouserental yes flaxseeds should be ground to get the most benefit. Dr. G says you can eat whole flaxseeds such as in a flax cracker, but those wouldn't count towards the amounts she recommends for the protocol.
Anybody have shortness of breath from high amount of Flax? I eat whole food PB, and have no diseases. I'm not 100% it's that but it happens a few minutes after a big swig I'm gonna try chia, but iam curious
Shortness of breath could have many different causes including a severe allergy or other serious condition. You may want to check with a doctor to be safe!
I'm not aware of anything specific about nightshades in any of her protocols. But in her new book, several of the recipes include nightshades such as tomatoes and bell peppers. Generally, I don't think Dr. G limits any kind of raw vegetables, other than to say if an individual is not able to digest/tolerate any particular vegetable, to try something different. To get a better answer, you might try to ask during her next live Q&A, which she usually does on Wednesdays on all her social media platforms.
@@showmemovegan On her Wednesday RUclipss, I've heard her say a particular vegetable e.g. corn, is not a healing vegetable. I don't know what she's said about nightshades, but they are generally known to be reactive for some people.
Great video, thanks! I also have UC. I was a raw vegan when I developed it. 😬 For me it was stress related though. I’m giving this protocol a go as suffering with terrible fatigue, my UC is doing ok. 😊 I have tried every protocol under the sun for it. 😅
You're welcome! And yes, in my experience stress definitely has a big impact. We can eat the perfect diet and other circumstances will still affect our health. Glad to hear your UC is under control, and yes even just adding extra veggies on top of a whole food plant-based diet helps improve my energy levels, I hope you can find relief from your fatigue soon.

I'm no doctor, but just from my own experience, some amount of gas is normal and to be expected, but the best advice I have is to go slow. If you're not used to eating certain high fiber foods, transition to them slowly, adding just a little bit more every day. If you still have trouble, there are elimination diets you can do to try to identify particular foods you may be sensitive to by slowly reintroducing foods one by one. Sometimes you might be able to have a small amount of a certain food, but large amounts will cause gas. Unfortunately it can be tricky to figure out! If cutting back and slowing increasing the fiber doesn't help, I'd recommend working with a doctor or plant-based dietitian to help you identify your triggers. You might also want to check out the books by Dr. Bulsiewicz called Fiber Fueled and The Fiber Fueled Cookbook where he talks a lot about this topic. Hope that helps!
Hi! Yes, eating cooked starches is a great way to increase satiety, and that is how I personally eat on a regular basis! However, this video was demonstrating Dr. Goldner's Goodbye Lupus Protocol, which is 100% raw, so those cooked starches would not be allowed on that protocol.
Love this idea, my question would be, what about the fact that dr. Gundry(who I’ve seen online) basically says tomatoes are not good for gut health ???
In general I don't recommend basing your nutrition decisions on solely influencers like myself or Dr. Gundry. Many of his claims are not backed by scientific evidence but are based on anecdotes. Certain people are sensitive to some foods, so if you personally have a sensitivity to tomatoes, it would be good to eliminate those. However, tomatoes are perfectly healthy for most people. I recommend adjusting your personal nutrition based on what works for you in consultation with your doctor or a qualified dietician.
I found out about Dr. Goldner probably 3 or 4 months ago. I am interested primarily in trying her smoothies. But I still intend to get her newest book to make some of the recipes featured in it. I'm glad your video showed up in my recommendations. Oh @12:43 is that called the crow pose? I am pretty sure I've seen it done before but I'm not sure about the name.
This was nice and informative! I’ve been following dr. G for some time now, but didn’t quite get the full picture of what to eat. You helped me understand it better, thanks!
I'm so glad it was helpful! My videos focus mostly on recipes and meal ideas, and I only occasionally show some yoga in my "what I eat in a day" videos, so no I don't have a beginner yoga video. I've actually thought about making a channel dedicated to yoga, but don't have anything in the works now. In the meantime, there are many yoga channels out there, so I hope you can find one you like!
Hi, so happy to come across your posting. I just happen to see some of Dr Goldner's videos today. I m so amazed. Just want to check with you, apart from these smoothie, whatelse can one eat? I would love to be in touch with you via email as there are so many questions in my mind😂. I am Asian and have never tried smoothie before. I would like to try this new diet but do not know what to do and what not to do on Hyper Nourish diet. Would love to learn more to help those who are unwell around me. Thanks so much for sharing and hope to hear from you soon.
When doing the protocol, you don't have to have smoothies, that is just the most convenient way for many people to eat all the vegetables. If you prefer, you can just eat the raw vegetables. The minimum is 16 ounces, but you can eat as much as you need to feel full. Dr. Goldner has a recipe book with ideas on how to eat the veggies if you don't like to eat raw vegetables plain. Or for more information and ideas, I would recommend joining Dr. Goldner's official Facebook group called "Smoothie Solution #smoothieshred" In that group there are thousands of people who have followed or are currently following the protocol who can help with how to do it.
@@sallyho8205 You're welcome! And that's great, the group will be the best place to find the most up-to-date information, and there are lots of very supportive people there.
Garlic is ok on all of Dr. Goldner's protocols. It's used in many of the recipes in her book that are intended for people on the protocols. Certainly if you have an individual sensitivity to it, you could leave it out.
All plants contain protein, including all of the essential amino acids. I don't think I specifically mention it, but in the Cronometer section at 15:45 you can see that day I got 59.6g of protein which is well over the 41g that I personally require per recommended guidelines.
Very informative. I am from Africa and have a heart problem. Con you add some african dish like plantains, green banana, yellow yams, sweet potatoes etc to this diet?
Hello! I am not a doctor, so I can't recommend anything regarding your specific condition. But if you want to follow this protocol exactly, it only includes raw vegetables and a small amount of raw fruit. I'm not sure if all of those can be consumed raw, but any raw fruits/veggies would be ok. Depending on your individual health and goals, you may not need to follow it that strictly. This protocol is intended to be used to help reverse chronic health conditions, so if you're just maintaining health, I think any of those foods cooked or raw would be a great part of a balanced plant-based diet. Hope that helps!
Hi there! In this video I showed some more complicated recipes, but I was just trying recipes from the new book on a weekend when I had the time. I also work full time, and I'm with you! I definitely wouldn't do all these recipes during the week when I'm working. For easy prep Dr. G usually recommends smoothies, so that way you would simply make your smoothies all at once in the morning and sip it all day long, and the prep would be very minimal, less than 10 minutes for the whole day.
Hi everyone! Hope this was helpful for anyone trying GLP or just trying to incorporate more raw foods. Feel free to leave questions and comments below, and I'll try to answer any I can!

@@showmemoveganRight, and you did an excellent presentation! Thank you
@@josephvalentine7 thanks 😊
I LOVE Yoga with Adrienne ❤
Me too! Her 30 days of yoga is what helped me get back into it recently!
Good video!
Thank you!
I enjoyed this and it was a great summary! Thank you. 💚
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Yes, that is the crow pose! Thanks for watching and commenting ☺
@@showmemovegan thank you for letting me know. And you're welcome.
Good info and good presentation!!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
Those outtakes, though! 😂😅So cute!
Thanks! 😂😉
This was nice and informative! I’ve been following dr. G for some time now, but didn’t quite get the full picture of what to eat. You helped me understand it better, thanks!
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, really nicely explained and helpful😊
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful!
This was an extremely informative and well versed video. New to your channel. Do you have a yoga instruction video for beginners?
@@showmemovegan Thank you so much for your kind reply. Yes, I have already join the Facebook group.
@@sallyho8205 You're welcome! And that's great, the group will be the best place to find the most up-to-date information, and there are lots of very supportive people there.
Thumb up for your through out explaination!!!
Thanks!
Thanks for making this video. A nice recap of the program. I may buy the book.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Wait a minute, I thought that garlic (11:49) is a no no?
Garlic is ok on all of Dr. Goldner's protocols. It's used in many of the recipes in her book that are intended for people on the protocols. Certainly if you have an individual sensitivity to it, you could leave it out.
Great video
Thanks!
I notice there no mention of protein which is much needed by the body.
I would like to buy the book . I have some of. The other books
How do we do this when we away at work 12 hours a day? The prepwork is what messes me up.
