    I need to watch Dr.G every day to stay on track. But your crash course, is equally helpful. Since January I started to make her smoothies, I reversed the fruit/vegetable amount. Still eating nuts/some oils, bread etc. BUT: today my blood results came back, best of my entire life! By far! First time I am not anemic. So far no allergies, I realized that today, with spring coming my friends are already coughing and sneezing, not me this year. It is crazy.😂 I am so happy and thankful. It gave me hope. Pregnant right now, after several miscarriage years ago. All looks good so far. Will keep up the work for me and the baby. Thank you again for your lovely video and personality ❤

    I like to add a little seaweed to my smoothy (Nori sheets or Wakame, after being softened in water). They have lots of B12, Iodine and also iron, magnesium, sodium and calcium. All of the things that many veggies lack or have little of. If you add a lot, you can taste it, but it goes very well with camomile (just add the contents of a tea bag), lychee or mango. In the end, B12 supplements are just made of pressed seaweed but way more expensive usually.

      I'm not aware of anything specific about nightshades in any of her protocols. But in her new book, several of the recipes include nightshades such as tomatoes and bell peppers. Generally, I don't think Dr. G limits any kind of raw vegetables, other than to say if an individual is not able to digest/tolerate any particular vegetable, to try something different. To get a better answer, you might try to ask during her next live Q&A, which she usually does on Wednesdays on all her social media platforms.

      Thanks for watching! I am currently symptom free, but I used to suffer from ulcerative colitis. My whole food plant-based diet eliminated my UC symptoms before I knew about Dr. G, but I added hyper-nourishing smoothies about a year ago, and that has also helped my energy levels and skin (no more acne).

      I'm no doctor, but just from my own experience, some amount of gas is normal and to be expected, but the best advice I have is to go slow. If you're not used to eating certain high fiber foods, transition to them slowly, adding just a little bit more every day. If you still have trouble, there are elimination diets you can do to try to identify particular foods you may be sensitive to by slowly reintroducing foods one by one. Sometimes you might be able to have a small amount of a certain food, but large amounts will cause gas. Unfortunately it can be tricky to figure out! If cutting back and slowing increasing the fiber doesn't help, I'd recommend working with a doctor or plant-based dietitian to help you identify your triggers. You might also want to check out the books by Dr. Bulsiewicz called Fiber Fueled and The Fiber Fueled Cookbook where he talks a lot about this topic. Hope that helps!

      Hi! Yes, eating cooked starches is a great way to increase satiety, and that is how I personally eat on a regular basis! However, this video was demonstrating Dr. Goldner's Goodbye Lupus Protocol, which is 100% raw, so those cooked starches would not be allowed on that protocol.

    Love this idea, my question would be, what about the fact that dr. Gundry(who I’ve seen online) basically says tomatoes are not good for gut health ???

    • @showmemovegan
      @showmemovegan  3 месяца назад +3

      In general I don't recommend basing your nutrition decisions on solely influencers like myself or Dr. Gundry. Many of his claims are not backed by scientific evidence but are based on anecdotes. Certain people are sensitive to some foods, so if you personally have a sensitivity to tomatoes, it would be good to eliminate those. However, tomatoes are perfectly healthy for most people. I recommend adjusting your personal nutrition based on what works for you in consultation with your doctor or a qualified dietician.

    I found out about Dr. Goldner probably 3 or 4 months ago. I am interested primarily in trying her smoothies. But I still intend to get her newest book to make some of the recipes featured in it. I'm so glad it was helpful! My videos focus mostly on recipes and meal ideas, and I only occasionally show some yoga in my "what I eat in a day" videos, so no I don't have a beginner yoga video. I've actually thought about making a channel dedicated to yoga, but don't have anything in the works now. In the meantime, there are many yoga channels out there, so I hope you can find one you like!

    Hi, so happy to come across your posting. I just happen to see some of Dr Goldner's videos today. I m so amazed. Just want to check with you, apart from these smoothie, whatelse can one eat? I would love to be in touch with you via email as there are so many questions in my mind😂. I am Asian and have never tried smoothie before. I would like to try this new diet but do not know what to do and what not to do on Hyper Nourish diet. Would love to learn more to help those who are unwell around me. Thanks so much for sharing and hope to hear from you soon.

      When doing the protocol, you don't have to have smoothies, that is just the most convenient way for many people to eat all the vegetables. If you prefer, you can just eat the raw vegetables. The minimum is 16 ounces, but you can eat as much as you need to feel full. Dr. Goldner has a recipe book with ideas on how to eat the veggies if you don't like to eat raw vegetables plain. Or for more information and ideas, I would recommend joining Dr. Goldner's official Facebook group called "Smoothie Solution #smoothieshred" In that group there are thousands of people who have followed or are currently following the protocol who can help with how to do it.

      Garlic is ok on all of Dr. Goldner's protocols. It's used in many of the recipes in her book that are intended for people on the protocols. Certainly if you have an individual sensitivity to it, you could leave it out.

      All plants contain protein, including all of the essential amino acids. I don't think I specifically mention it, but in the Cronometer section at 15:45 you can see that day I got 59.6g of protein which is well over the 41g that I personally require per recommended guidelines.

    • @showmemovegan
      @showmemovegan  9 месяцев назад

      Hello! I am not a doctor, so I can't recommend anything regarding your specific condition. But if you want to follow this protocol exactly, it only includes raw vegetables and a small amount of raw fruit. I'm not sure if all of those can be consumed raw, but any raw fruits/veggies would be ok. Depending on your individual health and goals, you may not need to follow it that strictly. This protocol is intended to be used to help reverse chronic health conditions, so if you're just maintaining health, I think any of those foods cooked or raw would be a great part of a balanced plant-based diet. Hope that helps!

      @showmemovegan  Месяц назад +1

      Hi there! In this video I showed some more complicated recipes, but I was just trying recipes from the new book on a weekend when I had the time. I also work full time, and I'm with you! I definitely wouldn't do all these recipes during the week when I'm working. For easy prep Dr. G usually recommends smoothies, so that way you would simply make your smoothies all at once in the morning and sip it all day long, and the prep would be very minimal, less than 10 minutes for the whole day.
