Been waiting for this video recap; excellent, very well done! It's really a dark bit of the park's history that seems to have been forgotten over time (I only vaguely heard of the police and ferry drownings, and had no idea there was a 6th drowning in '79). Can't imagine how anyone would want to voluntarily jump in Dolphin Lake, it must have been extremely polluted back in the 70's. Worth mentioning there was another death at La Ronde, only a decade ago, involving a roller-coaster!
I was there for the first drama when 2 policemen lost their lives trying to save someone...there was a big commotion, nobody knew exactly what just happened, I found out in the news the next morning...it was quite a shock!
You can see on the video a guy on a kite but his performance ended up in a wheelchair when he hit the structure of the monorail which circles the lake.
