@@DanDen-gh7si I was Rigth about to say this. I have a Devastator for about 2 years now and I am still stunned by the engineering/forward thinking of it.
And if you prefer the “popped collar” look on the combiner with the base of the ladder, this figure has the ability to do that, too. AND a base mode. MMC are absolute madlads!
The way Defensor's legs work feels like an improvement on legacy Menasor, incorporating the skeleton of the legs into the body-bot, but with Hot Spot it doesn't feel like he could form Defensor all by himself, like how Motor Master did.
Really, I think Motormaster being able to form Menasor by himself was an intentional decision. It made it easier to justify releasing him at the Commander price point by making his play pattern more or less self-contained. I can imagine a Hasbro designer being rather scared at the prospect of releasing an 80-dollar toy that requires four other toys (two of which aren't even out yet) to function fully.
@@Wnations95 That's true. Whenever their version of Onslaught is transformed to robot mode you have to open Bruticus' head and pull out Onslaught's head.
Hopefully it won't be nearly that long. Groove should be out in a few months (at the time of writing this) and Blades hopefully will be available soon after.
Can't wait for the complete transform 😸 Oh, wait.. I think this is the first time I heard about these song.. oh, well, it's still suite your cool video after all. Thank's
It's a frigging puzzle and an awesome one at that. I love it but I will also admit I would only transform it once with instructions and then never wanting to touch it again. I'm getting old.
Hot Spot! One of my first and most favourite G1 Transformers as a kid in the 1980ies. Memories…. This new version is so much more detailed and intricate. Love it. Never had the money to build the full Defensor. But now I might… Which version/brand/year is this?
I hope we get Groove next. There was a scene from the show where Defensor, while missing an arm, saved a train from falling off a raised rail. You could reference that scene using the trainbot combiner team!
It's pretty cool that Defensor can stand "without his legs". I am disappointed in this video though. You did not take your time; it felt very rushed. 😕
Cleanest ladder transformation I’ve seen so far.
i was not expecting the leg trick, the fact that this combiner is completely self contained and doesn't rely on separate hands and feet is amazing!
They are engineering gods
i own MMC bruticus. those guys know how to make a all in combiner.
@@DanDen-gh7si I was Rigth about to say this. I have a Devastator for about 2 years now and I am still stunned by the engineering/forward thinking of it.
@@Demobot1 you mean bruticus?
2 more left, already looking nice.

Defensor has always been my favorite combiner. This set is a dream come true!
Can't wait. I just paid for him last week so he should ship out soon. 3 down and 2 left to go.

I'm thinking this is how the general release will be similar to this figure if not the same

Hotspot’s head hiding in Defensor’s head is hilarious
he's like "wait until I put on my big boy suit" lol
@@KarachoBolzen yesss
They do the same with their version of Bruticus. Mastermind Creations/Occular Max do some great work with their combiners
@@Wnations95 That's true. Whenever their version of Onslaught is transformed to robot mode you have to open Bruticus' head and pull out Onslaught's head.
What a good looking robot. Can't wait to see the complete form.
Just the fire truck as a fire truck alone is a decent toy to have. But those legs; that's some next-level kibble design.
Cleanest transformation and sculpt ever!
Only 2 more years until it is finished! I can't wait!
Hopefully it won't be nearly that long. Groove should be out in a few months (at the time of writing this) and Blades hopefully will be available soon after.
Like how compact the ladder is 👏👏👍👍💯💯💯
Oh my gosh! We just need Groove and Blades and then Defensor will be complete! I kinda want to get these guys now!
I really wish i could afford figures like this. Top notch engineering on this from the looks of it.
Nice. For me that hits just the right spot of G1 style with the right amount of complexity to make all the modes look good.
still loving that new intro
I gotta say, Ocular Max really do come up with some creative engineering
There's no separate combiners part, amazing tbh
Thank you for all of the awesome posts.
Your videos get better and better each time! ganbate! Thanks for sharing!
Now that's hot! No pun intended
That song in the beginning had a bit of a nice Psychadelic Furs vibe to it. You always have cool music on these videos man. Great work!!!
I was getting more of a Better Than Ezra vibe from it myself
your video make defensor even more outstanding! no regrets!
The movie is great, the music is great every time, keep up the good work
This is how G1 Hotshot should have been👏👏🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
That is clean! So impressed. Kicks gen toys ass imo...
Can't wait to see videos of the other 4 protectobots!
2*
I had the OG Hotspot when i was 6 in. It wasn't as cool as this version!!
MMC feels like the only company out there doing anything new or interesting, engineering wise, with Combiners these days
Looks awesome. Got mine pre-ordered.
Beautiful video as always! But the song choice at the start really threw me when the guy pronounced dandelions "dan-dellions" 😂
That leg transformation with the car looks like it could be retooled for Menasor
Can't wait for the complete transform 😸
Oh, wait.. I think this is the first time I heard about these song.. oh, well, it's still suite your cool video after all. Thank's
1. I'd like to see next to Inferno. 2. He seems a little oversized in bot mode like KOs of CHUG figures but this thing is impressive
Awesome video! Nearly clicked off when the first song said “dandellions”, but awesome Hot Spot!
Good god, same, what the hell was that
I didn’t hate the song otherwise, but jebus
impressive Legs!
I’m very excited to get Hot Spot! Figure looks so well designed. Can’t wait to get the whole set!
😇Beautiful used of Synthwave Music! 😇
We need knew transformers in the old blocky japanese style.
It's simple clean easy to read and easy to understand.
The best Defensor I even see
Defensor is right up there with Menosaur of combiners that were clearly a pain in the ass to design to match the cartoon look. lol
It's a frigging puzzle and an awesome one at that. I love it but I will also admit I would only transform it once with instructions and then never wanting to touch it again. I'm getting old.
also the mass shifting is insane
It's beautiful
Troppo bello il defensor, io avevo la versione vintage, il mio primo transformer 🥹
That's the first time I've ever seen a main combiner body provides the skeletal parts for the legs (like certain Decepticon combiner).
I’ve been waiting for this for a long time!! 😊😊😊😊😊
If “But wait, there’s more!” was a toy
Off the hook
What are the background songs called? They are cool
1st is moonlight dreamers
2nd is mayflies in the fading sun

Mastermind Creations/Ocular Max. Hot Spot is this year, iirc the First Aid and Streetwise shown here released 2022.
Thanks! Where can these Ocular Max versions be bought from directly (online)?
@@ajohoI bought mine at Toy Dojo. TF Source or Chosen Prime are also good options. Or there’s always Big Bad Toy Store as well. Lots of options !

Great vid and even better tunes
Song title please. your music taste is so cool
Defensor: "It'll be alot easier if Groove and Blades, was heeeeerrrre....!!!"
Very cool video touch toys
We need to see all of them 5 !!!
Finally it was about time for the video
Vídeo muito bom
Where are the helicópter and the police moto?
Hotshot puts Inferno to shame!
esta figura de DEFENSOR ES LA MAS FIEL QUE EH VISTO DE TODAS LAS FIGURAS, ES LA MAS CERCANA A LA DE GENERACIÓN 1

Beautiful!
Only Blades left and Defensor will be at full. When we will get to see Blades's masterpiece?
Wow amazing ❤️💪
Defensor doesn't look right without the collar popped. Well-shot and edited video, though; smooth transformation.
You might already know this but you can actually pop the collar too!
@@zyphr07reviews83 Yes I know, that's what I'm saying. It looks better with the collar popped.
Que paso con los otros protectobots y además la transformación de defensor está incompleto
The right leg was supposed to be a motorcycle, right? Won't it be too small and they have to make it bigger like in the original toy?
Hot take: MMC makes the best combiners
So awesome~❤
なるほど、ガーディアンにするときの足は足の中にアームでつながってて完全収納されていたってわけか
Amazing
All you need now is Groove and Blades, then Defensor will be complete.
What a magnificent piece! ALL BUILT IN. Takara should have hired people like these not the dumb fool who designed Raiden and that HORRIBLE Ginrai.
Beautiful
What's the name of the song that's playing right here? 3:44 I'm asking because I wanna listen to that on Spotify.

name music pleaseee
no additional pieces required, it's wonderful. It's horrible when you must add plastic pieces here and there to complete a transformation
after two years, at last.
