- one of my very favourite bands of the sixties who live were quite formidable...hit singles galore and all with a great garage-rock edge to them but also one or two 'softer' tunes as well for good measure....youtube have in their wisdom 'trimmed-out' a section for copyright infringement but it doesn't spoil things in any way (thank goodness..)...
71 now. when I was in high school back in the 1960's The Troggs was a hit with me and my friends. We were all into music big time. The Troggs hit the scene with the surprise hit Wild Thing! I sing and play that and With A Girl Like You at open mics.

My hubby and I absolutely adore Greece and been there on our holidays many times!
COVID prevented us visiting the last time…but we have fabulous memories…so please remember me when your soaking up the sunshine…gentle breeze and the rolling wave’s….and gorgeous food! X
@@dreamer33ish will do as i go down to our harbour tonight for dinner! with only 900 or so people living here and just 23 in my village things in the winter are very quiet as you can imagine...my wife is currently working in the u.k. and returns in december but i'm in retirement after 50yrs at work!!!! david.

'I know I ain't playin' it right - and I should know, 'cos I'm the C*NT tha's playin' it ...' that's the best line the Troggs ever came out with. They could have had a comic band show like 'The Monkees'. As one of the commentators says here, there's always this comic element to them - even though they weren't really aware of it themselves - they weren't aware of a kind of irony underneath it all.
Great stuff if you like Troggs.
The Yella In Me is as good a 60's punk rock song as any. Troggs are protopunk legends.
