Good video! Thanks Scott!
thanks man
This is a gorgeous mix. Gotta try it myself one day!
Thank you!
Great video Scott!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome
thanks!
I was recently wondering what the Candy2o Black does. Nice timing.
thanks for watching!
Watch their “murdered” videos.
Perfect timing! I'm wanting to paint a 1/32 slot car and love the anodized look with Quicksilver and Candy2o. But was worried the black candy was too purplish. Doesn't seem to be an issue.
Excellent, glad this video was helpful. Thanks.
Thanks for all the info you guys put out! I'm new to the airbrush scene and have been painting fishing lures for myself.. I've been looking for videos on your 0210 wicked UV glow base and 0212 wicked transparent glow in the dark with really no videos on here about how to use and best ways to get the best performance. What's the chances for some tips and tricks? Thanks in advance!
We need to make a few videos for Wicked UV Colors, perhaps later this year. For now, please refer to the Wicked Colors tech data sheet for information on these products. TDS are available at www.creatextech.com. Thank you.
Nice. A question: Will the 4040 prevent candy bleed in this scenario when mixed with the paint, as opposed to when you use it as an inter coat? I have always done it as recommended, I.e mix the candy with 4050. Then 4040 if I’m painting anything on top of the candy.
Good question. I’ve experimented with mixing 4040 with candy2o colors, then painting over them without a pure 4040 barrier. I still get plenty of bleeding. Depending on the colors you are using, and how clean you need each to be, it seems like a chancy thing. I’m gonna pass on mixing candy with 4040 until someone can show me an advantage to it.
Same topic, why 4040? Is result and durability with 4030 or 4050 the same?
4050 is the recommended carrier for candy2o. This mix is a one-off, artists color and creation. Thanks.
4040 was the original medium to make this color. 4050 can certainly be used, and works well. The only advantage of 4040 is with this mix, the candy black dye is a bit more locked in" because of the 4040, but 4040 isn't otherwise a good medium for candy2o as it doesn't hold the dye in as homogeneous a solution as does 4050, nor does it spray the candy2o as evenly as 4050, however, since it was being mixed with W357 Quicksilver, that really didn't matter so 4040 was used as it dries flatter compared to 4050, and will lock in the Quicksilver + candy2o Black mix well. But this mix could certainly be done with 4050, which is still the recommended carrier for caqndy2o. Thank you.
4050 is the main carrier medium for candy2o. This one off mix used 4040 as that how the color was originally made (pre-4050), and it still works well for this particular color as the metallic + candy2o is a 1:1 mixture, quite different from adding candy2o neat to 4050. Thank you.
Can you do candy black over a silver sealer? Looking for a pearl/metallic black.
Yes, try mixing 4050 UVLS Gloss clear 8:1 4664 candy2o Black, and applying this over 6013 Silver Sealer. Thank you.
Why did you use the 4040 rather than 4030 or 4050? Thanks for the video.

@@CreatexColors Thank you for this explanation, super helpful! First thing I wondered about was the 4040.
What gun are you using..?
looks like an iwata th-2
Iwata TH2, Thanks.
Just did this with 4053 the other day on Quciksilver turned out nice mostly
Nice. 4050 is still the recommended medium for mixing with Createx paints, including candy2o and Wicked Colors. We used 4040 as this was the original mix made by Bryan Adams at Microsoft's prototyping department. 4050 would make this color a bit more glossy, which works well especially if not top-coating it with a satin clear. Thanks.
Is that now color?
think you were trying yo say New color.
Its been around for a bit. We finally wanted to show it in a video.
