Cool video! You should not charge the battery up to 100% (except if you absolutely have to), charging it to 80% max will substantially lengthen the lifespan of your battery. Also, the final 20% will take a ridiculously long time. Charging more often between 10% and 65% is probably the most efficient as you will spent less time at the supercharger. After 65% the charging speed slows down significantly, giving you less and less power over time.
@@BestDasherAlive nah you dont gotta do that crap..cell balancing is important..and you dont take it above 80 only if youre not gonna be using it for a while..in the end its charge cycles
I briefly rent a Chevy Cobalt EV, when my Prius was down. My assessment is about the same, without a level 2 charger at home it isn't cost effective. The Cobalt get just under 300 miles per charge but as you can image took me 87 minutes to hit 98% after falling to 16%. Same EZ-Go charger btw.
Thanks for sharing. I didn’t talk about it in the vid but I charged right next to a Chevy bolt who was struggling to charge he had gone back and forth from several stations and still was having issues when I finished. Even more inconvenienced than I was. He did tell me he loved his Chevy bolt tho 🤷🏻♂️😭
Bro, wear your seatbelt. They save lives.
Did the entire time.
@@BestDasherAlive literally watch your own video. Your driving without the belt multiple times 😂
You know what would be cool tho. A BYD Seagull for at most 10K with 300 WLTP range. But they killed it with the tariffs. Super fast charging too

Even more impractical…

Petrol is expected to go from $2 to $4 dollars a litre very soon. I thought burning cash was illegal.
Don’t worry…. Electric cars are the solution 🥹
I have a hybrid and am pretty happy at this point with it.

@@BestDasherAlive Poor equipment and time to charge doesn't have much to do with cost or climate change
@gbreslin6635 def part of cost of operating vehicle. Climate change is a hoax.
@@BestDasherAlive It's a hoax you won't be able to reverse.
@@gbreslin6635 evs reverse...
Charging an ev makes sense if you charge at home at a significantly cheaper rate
maybe
Great video
Those cars even suck for rideshare. My buddy used one. He returned and got a gas vehicle. Fk EV's!
good call
