Isn't Roo beautiful! What lovely hacking as well, the tracks look fabulous. The weather was lovely for the red dragon weekend, lucky you! I hope you got on well, look forward to seeing videos from that 🏇🏇
Looks amazing hacking and nice and quiet trails! I always thought the chase got very busy at times. Used to live near there but sadly didn't have a horse at the time.
I absolutely LOVE where you ride! Here in the mountains our terrain is pretty technical with rock, roots, and ruts. Great for training foot placement, but a bit harder to get long stretches of trot and canter! Ride one for me and Shasta! Here's hoping the first event goes beautifully for you two! -Holly
Loved it! Love seeing Roo's progress in becoming an FEI endurance horse. I am looking for a mule or arab for endurance riding after having my other horse pass away.
I'm glad he is such a good boy for you! Do you do road training with your horses? My mum has a young horse doing trails but we haven't done any road work because she has been nervous about introducing her to passing cars.
Hia, he's lovely isn't he 😊 yes I do lots of training on roads and around vehicles and machinary. I start off at home walking them around running cars and standing while a car passes on the yard. Then walk them in hand on quiet lanes and progress from there. X
Mine are out all their lives bar Tissy now she can't really chew haylage. I clip them so their coats don't stay wet and sweaty, I wash them down with a leave in wash and warm water, use a wool rug to wick away most the moisture and then use full neck turnout rugs. When I bring in I hose off muddy legs and they're usually quite clean under the rug. If its colder or wet I ride with a quarter sheet to keep them warm and dry. Hope that helps x
@@bethendurance how do you cope with them sleeping (laying) with the english weather and the wet ground..mine is now for first year also out in the winter and i am a bit nervous if he will get his REM sleep. Also how do you keep your motivation with the short days loads of rain etc. Do you change feed in your horses? Maybe idea to discuss in a vlog? Can be interesting for everyone i think?
In an ideal world I'd have a field shelter with bedding but I don't. They seem ok with lying down whatever the weather as long as there's a patch of leafy or grassy ground. I don't personally mind the wet and dark 🤷♀️ I guess I'm just lucky in that way. I do change feed but not drastically so I'll put this as an idea for an autumn Vlog 👍 x
I love the "that's a tree" perfect
Loved it!! He is such a brave young horse!
Well done, I think that you lucked out with Roo!
Such a gorgeous boy and what a beautiful place to ride (-: Marion

He's such a good boy, it's quite embarrassing how much I praise him constantly on the video 🙈😝 x

It does get very very busy. But if you go in the morning and stay away from around the visitor centre it's not too bad x
He did so well!! (Except for wanting to commune with that tree!) I can't wait to see how he does at the organized ride!

Thank you 😊 🤞 x
I enjoy riding with your go-pro...lookin' between them ears!!! Happy trails from 🇺🇸
Thank you 😊

He's doing so well hopefully two years to his first FEI🤞🤞🤞 I hear mules are really good at endurance but we don't have any competing in the UK. X
@@bethendurance Awesome! I can't wait to follow his progress. Hmm...this means I get a mule, import it to the UK and move over to compete ;)

Fab 💚 what make of saddle do you ride in please 🙂
It's a Reactor panel x
Any tips on keeping your horse 24/7 outdoors year round and still keep him into heavy work?
