Unpacking from Lions Tail 80km - Vlog 243 - Beth Endurance
Everyone always shows the packing, and I love a good packing list and putting everything neatly in the trailer and van but very few people show the aftermath of an event. So I thought I'd take you along for the unpack, wash and put away, which actually takes longer than the packing in the first place!
I do try and put everything back where it should be as this makes the process much easier, but sometimes with multiple people helping out and the excitement of the day everything ends up everywhere, as was the case after Lions Tail. Thankfully I have a van and it basically serves as a giant box but nothing makes me happier than well organised, clean tidy and ready to go kit.
So everything need...

80km Endurance Ride - Lions Tail - Vlog 242 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.День назад
We attended another Leicestershire & Rutland ride, this time the Lion's tail, they didn't disappoint with another great venue and route. Estrid's prep for 80km was less conventional than my usual schedule but I was confident that she was fit enough and the comfort of knowing we had two vet gates for a re-fuel and to decide to elevate if need be was an extra confidence boost that we had every op...
Getting Tissy back out and about - Vlog 241 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 78014 дней назад
Tissy has had a little impromptu holiday over summer due to a crack in her hoof, but now that's all sorted it's time to get her back in her routine before she escaped the confines of the field and goes on an adventure of her own accord. Every time I bring a headcollar to the field Tissy thinks it's her turn and she's got increasingly miffed with not going out, even trying to sneak through the g...
Training for an 80km Endurance ride (Drone, GoPro POV) - Vlog 240 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 92221 день назад
Fingers crossed we're going to finish our season with an attempt at 80km. Estrid had 2 weeks off after her 64km and that gave us 4 weeks of training before needing to taper for the next competition. Unfortunately of those 4 weeks I have been away every single weekend, either working or seeing family so our usual training schedule has been a little disrupted. However, Estrid didn't seem to strug...
64km Endurance Ride - Avon Valley - Vlog 239 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Месяц назад
An unexpected perk of doing 64km, that in my mind I had previously seen as a pointless distance as it didn't get you your FEI qualifiers, is that I felt no pressure. This was purely a stepping stone for Esrtid's education and experience. It sounds silly, as surely this is the mindset I should have had all along right? Get experience and have fun? But I have been so goal orientated, so performan...
Estrid's first stay away competition - Vlog 238 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 918Месяц назад
The Avon Valley ride is just over an hour from me so there wasn't really any logistical need for me to travel the night before, however, Estrid hasn't done any stay away competitions yet and I'm aware that as we up the distance we'll also have to stay at venues. So I wanted her to start getting some practice in. She is an anxious horse that loves the company of others, whenever we've been away ...
Flatwork update, our last session before we compete - Vlog 237 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 721Месяц назад
Now I fell off the flatwork bandwagon in March when Estrid and I roly-poly'd our way to injury whilst schooling. I had been working hard over winter and even enjoying it, but sub-consciously I think I was associating schooling with increased injury risk so I wasn't doing it. In my head straight lines were safer and I was justifying not doing it by saying I needed to do fittening work and focus ...
Training for our first 64km Endurance ride - Vlog 236 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.Месяц назад
As we edge closer to Estrid's first 64km I thought I'd share her last training sessions. The two weeks before a competition is all about tapering for me. Sessions are purely educational and/or time in the saddle as the fitness and strength should already be there and it's essential that there's time for recovery before competition. I'm really looking forward to upping her distance as she's not ...
Summer Yard clean - Vlog 235 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 693Месяц назад
It's that time of year when the Swallows are starting to spend less time in their nests so less time pooping over everything and I can finally give my stable a bit of a spruce up! They are still popping in and out so there will be further poop clean ups to do but I thought it best to take advantage of the warm weather while we have it and pressure wash the winter/spring dust away before it's to...

POV Endurance horse training (GoPro helmet cam) - Vlog 234 - Beth Endurance

It has made me unbelievably happy to find this gem of a place! It's got long grassy canters, gentle uphills, tiwsts and turns, tracks through wood and little log jumps to give a go (or avoid if you want). The whole course is about 8km long and it only costs £12 to park and ride for 3 hours. To me it is the perfect endurance training loop. You can book through this link: Tong Parm Farm - Park & ...
Wirral Endurance Pleasure Ride - Vlog 233 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.2 месяца назад
I can honestly say I've never been more wet before even starting a ride. The Wirral has been on my wishlist of rides to try for a while so when it opened for entries I had alarms set and was poised ready to click enter as it fills up so quick. Luckily Tissy and I bagged a space and so did Izzy and Fluffy! It's a bit further than I'd usually travel for a pleasure ride but I'm trying to make the ...
Barn vlog & gallops training - Vlog 232 - Beth Endurance

I absolutely love summer yard jobs, they may be never ending but there's something so nice about bimbling around getting jobs done. Summer always feels slower to me than winter. In winter I want to be efficient and done to get out the cold and dark but in summer I like to take it slow and spend as much time outside as possible. Having horses is 80% jobs and 20% riding so I really appreciate it ...
Foremark Endurance ride - Estrid's first Vet gate - Vlog 231 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 2 тыс.3 месяца назад
Who knew I'd get emotional over a 46km! For someone who's never done that distance it's an awesome achievement and getting emotional is totally cool, but for someone who that distance can be classed as a training ride (me) it's quite funny. I took my time bringing Estrid back into work after we both hit the deck back at the start of March and she hadn't had the run up to the start of our compet...
Packing for a vet gate - Vlog 230 - Beth Endurance
Просмотров 8953 месяца назад
I decided to level Estrid up through the distances gradually rather than do the bare minimum of what is required for EGB and FEI qualifications. I'd always been of the mindset that I wanted to put the least amount of competitive miles on my horses legs but I think the experience doing more rides of various lengths gives will be invaluable for Estrid, and now I'm not sure if FEI is financially v...

Our First Dressage Test - Intro B - Vlog 215 - Beth Endurance
Nothing is dull with you Beth! Love your videos, I always hang out to see them because of your cheery, optimistic energy! <3 much appreciated.
I agree I love how organized you are and your routines! It motivates me to be better organized myself😂
I love how your routine is like a well oiled machine. You just did more barn/gear cleaning than I've done all year. 🫣 "Pimp my tackroom" would be a great video title! 😂
Having had a ConnyxArab I absolutely second that she should get one!
Well done Beth! What a fantastic result, you must be so proud!! Go Estrid ❤
Thank you 😊 x
I have a mare who is ALWAYS opinionated even when feeling well. My question to you is if there is no swelling nor heat coming from a rear leg for example but they are favoring it, resting it, and even limping a bit, can a very small abscess cause this amount of discomfort. She has a tendency to be a bit of a drama queen so it is hard to tell with her anymore. The abscess she got from kicking the geldings in her paddock and it has already been drained a few days ago. Very little fluid and no concern to apply a poltice but still, she continues to rest this leg. No swelling whatsoever. Should I wrap the leg for support for a while?
I would get a very out of you feel like somethings not right but it's not obvious. I tend to do things myself if the cause is obvious and I have the skills to manage it but get a vet if I'm unsure x
Beth, can you please do a video about how you manage your own health & energy levels (not so much fitness related) - maybe what you eat in a day or supplements you take etc. I recently started taking magnesium and feel sooo much better, but wondered if there's anything specific you do, health-wise, for endurance & riding in general?
I can indeed. It'd be a pretty short video though, I don't take any supplements. I have a fairly balanced whole food diet but I also ate a whole pack of Percy pigs yesterday 🤣 x
@@bethendurance It would be good to know anyway, I'm sure it's not just me who's interested!
Your hard work has paid off! Estrid did amazing, you both did💕. You are an inspiration, you work so hard and are such a good horse person!!! Love how your family supports as well! Congrats!!!
Thank you 😊 I'm so lucky to have them support me x
End of an era ❤️
Well done, you two and your team! I always enjoy your videos.

Congratulations! Huge achievement!

Love your vlogs and the fantastic work you've done with estrid. What a brilliant end to your 2024 season and how exciting for 2025! She seems the makings of a right one...

Congratulations!!! What an incredible finish to the season. I couldn't believe she didn't care a bit as the machine went by!! She was amazing, and you didn't launch a single bottle into a field!! Waiting to hit post, in case Dan gets his revenge... 😂 I hope you have a beautiful wedding... "disgusting". 😂😂
Thank you! I tried very hard not to yeet any sloshes this time 😝 x
Well done on passing it’s good to see how much she grown and matured all thank to you
Thank you 😊 I was so proud of her! X
Yay! Wonderful seeing her grow and learn! Your aim was much better this round too! A++ for both of you. Congrats!
Thank you 😊 she's improved so much this season! X
"Riding a pinball machine" I love it 😁
You never quite know which high speed sideways step or random acceleration is going to happen next 🤣😅 x
How do you track your training? Do u use a sport watch? What model?
I use the equilab app day to day but I have a really old Polar GPS watch for competition x
You are only as old as you feel😃. Would love another day in the life, especially during winter as that is the toughest time of year for us horse peeps😩
Would you be interested in doing an updated tack and equipment video? :)
جميييل هاذي خيول عربيه هل هي ممتازه في القفز ام في سباقات القدره وتحمل وهل شاركتي في سباق Tevis Cup من قبل
I've been enjoying living vicariously through your vlogs while my knee heals from meniscal repair and I'm banned from getting on a horse!! Tissy was so keen! Really goes to show how a well-kept horse can stay happy and (relatively) fit & healthy into their older age. Estrid has big shoes to fill (I think she'll get there nooo problem - she looked fantastic at the 64k)
The literal best pony I’ve ever saw. I love how she can sit, then you go and grab her out and she’s still so excited to go. Tissy sure is something special, Beth! 💙
The sass 😅 my 22 yrs old mare has as much sass! She is a 4 yrs old forever just like Tissy 😂😂❤
We love the OG
Ooh! The fairies have been riding Tizzy! They put knots in their manes to hold onto when they ride them. They only leave the knots in the manes of the horses they like to ride the best!
Tisssy!! Love that girl!! It'll be great to see her out showing the younguns how it's done!
Loved the arial view. What a pretty girl he is. Feisty and fun.
One of your best vlogs ! I love all the technical details. How to get a stronger core. How to have a lower heart rate. It is truly fascinating. Thank you ❤
The drone footage is awesome! Well, all of the viewpoints actually. 😊 Also, I noticed when you were getting ready at the venue Estrid was eating and eating. Such a change from her beginning, she's figured a lot of things out hahaha! 😍
