What a great session all the way around! I really appreciated you walking us through how you handle things, and hearing the difference in technique between Estrid and Whizzle. She's got so much energy left at the end, I can't wait to see her use it to tackle the longer distances! And what an incredible facility. I wish we had some like that in my area!
Thank you ☺️ I love how you keep it real with a spooky excited poney! Thank you for showing your strategy, all different for different horses but staying calm and. Thinking forward. I wish with had that kind of place near us!
A question for you. What kind of frame contact do you have Estrid? Or do you let her go the way she wants? If so how do you know she uses herself properly pushing from behind? I know you lunged with a Pessoa for proper muscling of the back. But what do you ask under the saddle? Thank you question from a dresseur, but it sounds like a bad word lately 😢
I have a very loose rein. Most of my 'feel' is from my seat and you can have a horse pushing from behind without the classic dressage outline. I use my body to get her weight where I want it to be and then she can put her neck in the position she wants x
@@bethendurance thank you. I understand what you mean. In the UK I exercised hunters, and we let them use their neck to balance, so no frame. 😉 interesting how you use your body weight. I will pay more attention next time I ride.
Loved that. Thanks for sharing 😊

Love hearing your strategies with her! She is really coming along😁
Whenever I brought my spooky Arabs to training my trainer would always go "they don't have that in the desert!" And it still makes me chuckle
🤣
Loved the ride allong!
Estrid is coming right along! I love getting to see her journey with you as well, Beth!
Thanks for taking us along! What fun that ride was.
