i could honestly listen to his voice for the whole day. the fact he repeats steps many times is greatly appreciated as some people usually mention it only once or twice then later quickly skips over the step while I sit in my chair trying to remember what the button was. Thanks so much for the tutorial!
This series is actually insane. Most other people would never provide tutorials with this much detail to people for free. You are truly a blessing to the blender community. Keep it up👍
Thanks for making this series. In case no one has told you this, the fact that you consistently remind us to keep our eyes on the video before doing something new is incredibly helpful for people like me who have ADHD and lose focus easily. I liked and subscribed because of it, and am actually able to learn this without constantly getting distracted mostly because of that one factor. I also appreciate how you break everything down into bite-sized steps and then after showing us what to do, it is great when you walk us through it again when it is our turn to do it. Continue doing what you do, you have an excellent teaching style. Thank you!!
I really love the little reminders, that each lesson isn't too long, that you put in practice time, etc. As a former teacher, this is amazing and how almost all lessons should go! You rock!
There's quite a lot of things I enjoy about this tutorial, such as reminders that certain steps are only there to apply muscle memory for certain tasks. One thing that I think could make this better is getting the followers of the tutorial to apply shortcuts, rather than navigating menus for most things. Instead of clicking on the Extrude tool, clicking out when done, etc., someone could just click E, then not have to worry about making sure the select mode is active afterwards, just as an example. As someone with extreme ADHD, this video does a great job of getting users to pay attention for certain parts, and letting them know when to pay attention and when to actually do the steps you describe.
I finished the Minecraft tutorial, it was very easy to follow through, my only comment was i didn't know how to extract a video sample like the one you had in your intro however it gave me motivation to move on to this tutorial and i have to thank you so much for your effort! it's amazing .. i didn't finish the donut video made by blender guru cuz it got so overwhelming for me and i just gave up. You're extremely skilled, your teaching style is clear & simple and i love your tutorials. I think after i finish these i will most definitely enroll in your premium courses. THANK YOU SO MUCH! My Feedback as a Beginner in Blender: I have completed multiple tutorials on Blender and recently discovered this channel. What sets these tutorials apart is the clear voice, easy-to-understand instructions, and a pace that is just right-not too fast, not too slow. The tutorials don’t rush through everything at once, which is very helpful. The best part is the detailed explanation of tools and modifiers while creating something. I’ve learned the hard way - that understanding any concept through examples and hands-on practice helps the knowledge stick. He puts himself in the shoes of a beginner and explains everything from that perspective. Thanks for creating such awesome videos 😀
This was the most articulate and easy to follow tutorial I have come across. Being new to 3d modeling and animation, you made it an easy decision to buy your premier membership. Thank you!
@@xxEbonyShardxx best way to learn is to just dive in... i started with a cup, from there i started to learn to manipulate cubes... i quickly realized you can be creative and form absolutely anything. So i went from a cup to spaceship to 3d human. i did great on them all, even the 3d human was used in a video game by lion studios or something like that. Just don't be afraid to get in over your head. things i find that make learning easier, how to use shapes to form things up rough and just keep smoothing them and then switch to wire mesh and form details by moving the mesh vertices(made it easy for me), then i used sculpting brushes with very light power to them, so i could get comfortable with brushes doing wrinkles and other fine details. Been like 8 years since i played in blender, but it only took me 6 months and i was at a professional level. now i just have to remember everything and its all moved from like blender 2.3, which is fine. the hard part is taught in this video and its about getting familiar with locations of menu's, shape manipulation and hotkeys. You want crazy complex, i can give you very hard things to do. go make airplane hull, then add wings as a separate part, then keep adding each piece as its own part from the parent object hull. learn to do organization with parts and it will have you pre setup to start learning to animate parts or even program them to be destructible in pieces in a game engine. then you'll be on your way to cgi quality stuff and start learning to build stage scenes :) i'm not making his sword for 2-3 hours, i can tell you that... i'll benefit more from something fast paced throwing the shortcut keys in corner. Its all just memorizing where stuff is and the rest is your imagination

A couple years ago I actually learned how to use blender from your original sword tutorial. It was the first real tutorial I actually watched. Now I have been making all kinds of crazy scenes and characters lol. I cannot thank you enough for it either. In fact I still have that same original scene I made while watching it lol.
for those struggling on the min 52:00, if the proportional editing is stretching the whole object instead of just the 4 dots part then you should try hitting G and then middle mouse scroll until you see a circle appear, that circle shows the area that the scale is... scaling. By the way if you by any chance have selected an object and you accidentally typed "H", the object is now hidden so don't panic and hold "alt+H", the object will re-appear.
The way you explain how stuff works in 3d is far more superior than any other instructor that I had. This could be the poster child for everything I look for in a tutorial. Most tutorials aren't very active and effective, I just want people to show me all the things to do in a fast and straightforward way that makes sense and explains when necessary. It's also 2 hours and takes its time to deep dive, which is good for getting that fast sense of progression. I would 100% buy premium right now if I wasn't broke as dirt.

When I first tried learning blender, the tutorials were overwhelming for me. I had zero experience with 3D and I was always lost. Since then, I haven’t used blender in years, and I’m trying it again now that I have a lot more experience in this field. I still have the basics memorized, so your tutorials feel very slow for me. You’d spend a good 3 minutes explaining how to extrude a shape, and I’d do it in 2 seconds. But I love that. Maybe if I found your tutorial when I first started, I wouldn’t have quit Blender then. You explain everything in details without expecting us to know anything beforehand, and it’s easy to follow along. I’ll definitely point all the beginners I know your way, and I can’t wait to try out the advanced tutorials! Thanks you for everything, kind sir
I loveeee your tutorial very much. I have seen the old version Blender 2.9, and I also watched this new version. I can see your enthusiasm. The way you go into the problem and solve it is extremely natural and clear. Everything is throughout. Respect you. I will always support your videos.
Dude, I love your tutorials, they're so helpful as someone with ADHD, especially the hyper focus parts. Most tutorials, just go too fast, or too slow, or skim over things like short cuts and just expect people to know things, I struggled a lot learning Cinema 4D and 3DS Max, but following these tutorials is so simple and I am learning so much so thank you. I am facing an issue, I can't find ambient occlusion where you find it. I am on Blender 4.2 so I think it might be different.
Your tutorials are so helpful, I mean I love how explanatory they are step by step, thank you so much for helping me understand how everything works in blender, following you step by step is amazing.
I'm working on a render for my boyfriend's birthday of his favorite videogame and you have no idea how much this has helped me, thank you so much for being as detailed as posible! It has helped me go from 0 to good enough in literally less than 24h and I'm actually happy with the results so far!!
Plus your reminders are always so helpful aswell, most people that do tutorials think people like us would remember that stuff, but you are handling is carefully :)
I HAVE NO WORDS to describe how good this is, I've been trying to learn blender but I couldn't get myself to complete a tutorial, you are the best of the best for tutorials!!!
I told my friend that I'm interested in Blender and I'd like to learn it. He sent me your tutorials and DAMN. I love it even tho it's just mainly about memorizing what stuff does so I can do projects myself later on. Thank you for these great tutorials, I'm about to go to the stone tutorial now! :D
I love your teaching style and quality of your material. Unfortunately almost $400 for the premium subscription is a lot of money here in Brazil, a third world country. It would be a dream to be able to buy this lifetime course. Thank you so much for the free introductory course, one of the best courses here on RUclips.
@CGFastTrack Im looking into purchasing the course from your website but im wondering if its the same short chapter format? Also are all the courses in the program able to be followed along with on Blender 4.0? I noticed you had a banner that says courses in level 1 and 2 will have upcoming changes but what about everything else?

Thank you so much for this, I love the way you delve into the details before continuing, while keeping each chapter simple and to the point so it's not overwhelming for newbies and how you often introduce a natural approach to a problem and then proceed to improve on that approach. It really helps with actually memorizing things too.
I absolutely can't believe the quality of these videos. It must have been a TON of work. It is much appreciated I wish every software I've ever learned to use came with as extensive and concise as this guide. It is an absolute masterpiece. Thank you!!
00:56:35 - Guard Edge: If you're finding that your guard looks edgy after creasing the edge, I suggest redoing the guard. I encountered the same problem, and my guess is that it might be due to not selecting the vertices correctly during the guard extrusion at 48:40. Make sure to box-select the vertices accurately for a cleaner result.
In my case, the curved part of the guard was looking spiky, with the vertex staying in their place and the faces smoothed. I redid as you suggested, and all was ok the second time. I'm pretty sure that i followed all the instructions with no error … but who knows? Anyway, thanks!!!
A tip I learned from another tutorial is to dubbel-click a vertex which selects all vertices from the same cut. So now it also selects the vertices of that cut on the back of the shape.
This is my ever seen real tutorial on RUclips. if anyone even not interested on learning, just watch this video and listen to what said on screen will allow them to learn.
thank you SO SO MUCH. i can’t express how thankful i am. i’m very new to blender and have been feeling stressed out because of the amount of stuff i need to learn as a beginner, but your videos make us learn all this step-to-step
I had already done the Minecraft tutorial, and I just finished the sword, the emission I made in red, which was spectacular too. Thank you for these classes. I had already lost enthusiasm for Blender, but now everything has changed!
Time has never flown by like this during a tutorial, I am loving this. Even though I'm not a complete complete beginner - this is the best format to a tutorial I've ever followed. Thanks for helping me get back into Blender
Ready to chew through this tutorial today. I have wanted to learn how to make a sword in Blender since I started modding Skyrim almost a decade ago. Thank you for this
I found the section going over the Edit mode tools very interesting because I had never heard of an Inset Tool, but I had been doing the exact same thing for ages by extruding and then scaling the selection, so I'm already super used to just pressing E then S to inset. This is the kind of thing that happens when you teach yourself lmao.
hello. Please make more video. Trust me, i got into the world of 3d and i want to learn more. i already finiahed the first part of tutorial with the minecraft. Don't ever stop doing this. Those tutorials are 100x better than the donut tutorial
Sir thank you so much for these tutorials, Like idk how to describe it fully in words, but all i can say is I'm thankful i found you. You've helped me understand the blender basics and actually try and make stuff myself and this is just incredible Seriously you deserve more recognition for these videos!
When using the loop cut tool you can also right click to drop the cut in the centre and because my finger is already there i find it a little easier however its just a preference thing
If your runes image shows up as white on your blade, its because your color-node needs to be set to color/color not color/mix. To author: Love your tutorial series. Most fun i've had in a long time, doing tutorials :D

Finished the first lesson and am about 20min into this one and I just have to say you're awesome man. This has been a great tutorial. Thank you for these tutorials i tried getting into blender a while ago and couldn't manage it the wins in the tutorial i was following didn't feel much like wins a huge part of that is your teaching style and at least for a nerd like myself ending with a photo realistic doughnut is ok but ending with a sword or a collapsing building gives just so much more of a dopamine rush that makes me want to keep going
Thank you so much man you are the best blender teacher ❤ The way you explain are simple to understand and the content you're providing is more than premium.
These tutorials remind me so much of Paul Neale's tutorials for early 3ds max character modeling and rigging pipeline. i absolutely love your tutorials. I signed up for the fast track tutorials after completing the minecraft and sword pt1 tutorial. Just amazing stuff dude.
@01:10:33 one has to scale the 5 vertices into a star shape. Somehow my scaling was taking the last selected vertex as the center of the scaling. Solved it by adding a face to the 5 vertices, then scale the face, then remove the face again. Edit: one can toggle the behavior by changing the 'pivot point'. You can find it directly left to the magnet ('snap') icon.
Great tutorial dude. I most of the times when u were showing techniques (like bevel) I tried it out before u showed it and I most of the times got it correct. I also experimented more and tried some other possibilities to learn a bit extra. Tysm for making this.

seriously the best blender tutorial I did not feel overwhelmed at all and finished the tutorial way quicker than I usually do
im halfway through and im loving this video
Thank you so much for this tutorial series, i'm new in blender and this is helping me to get more confident in blender
This was the first blender tutorial from which I was able actually learn with
I told my friend that I'm interested in Blender and I'd like to learn it.
Literally the best tutorial to start learning blender I highly recommended you to my friends we’re transferring from maya
Just finished the donut tutorial and found this as my next project. The sword looks awesome! Thanks for sharing this tutorial.

Dude ❤ this is by far the best Tutorial i ever watched in my life! Bless you ❤❤❤
This is the first tutorial that actually works for me
Thank you so much for this, I love the way you delve into the details before continuing, while keeping each chapter simple and to the point so it's not overwhelming for newbies and how you often introduce a natural approach to a problem and then proceed to improve on that approach. It really helps with actually memorizing things too.
I absolutely can't believe the quality of these videos. It must have been a TON of work. It is much appreciated
I wish every software I've ever learned to use came with as extensive and concise as this guide. It is an absolute masterpiece. Thank you!!
God bless you! By far the most detailed blender tutorial exists on earth!
I like how you repeat the important things over and over. Like telling us ctrl+r to do the loop cut.
This is so clear and easy to follow, the lesson flies by despite being 2 hours long. Great work!
A tip I learned from another tutorial is to dubbel-click a vertex which selects all vertices from the same cut. So now it also selects the vertices of that cut on the back of the shape.
this is the best blender tutorial ive ever seen... even more then the part 1. All clear now. Thank you
This is my ever seen real tutorial on RUclips. if anyone even not interested on learning, just watch this video and listen to what said on screen will allow them to learn.
thank you SO SO MUCH. i can’t express how thankful i am. i’m very new to blender and have been feeling stressed out because of the amount of stuff i need to learn as a beginner, but your videos make us learn all this step-to-step
I did it :3
Ready to chew through this tutorial today. I have wanted to learn how to make a sword in Blender since I started modding Skyrim almost a decade ago. Thank you for this
i like how he shows the sexy looking sword that we are making at last in the end of the chapter which help me to get motivated and didnt get bore 🗿🗿🖤🖤
THAT's a tutorial!
THANK YOU!!!
I was about to drop Blender after some other videos, but then you came and saved me! :)
I actually had fun doing this tutorial, it is great for new blender user like me . Definitely a go to for blender beginners !
I'm a newbie to Blender. Your teaching skills are amazing to follow along. I'm going to purchasing all your classes. Thanks mate.
And how is it??
I found the section going over the Edit mode tools very interesting because I had never heard of an Inset Tool, but I had been doing the exact same thing for ages by extruding and then scaling the selection, so I'm already super used to just pressing E then S to inset.
This is the kind of thing that happens when you teach yourself lmao.
hello. Please make more video. Trust me, i got into the world of 3d and i want to learn more. i already finiahed the first part of tutorial with the minecraft. Don't ever stop doing this. Those tutorials are 100x better than the donut tutorial
best tutorial ever extremally easy to follow i appreciate the hard work
You are a legend .You care for beginners ❤❤ and provide them a free quality course.I hope you will get 1million subs❤❤
This is the best tutorial video for a beginner hands down. Thank you for going over slowly and so thoroughly!
Even its too long to watch its entertaining and its really really good teaching...also some things have changed in blender like that principled bsdf really appreciate you to make an complete detailed video...❤
1:03:04 instead of using box drag, you can alt + click on the edge of the vertices to select the whole loop. its much easier
Finished the first lesson and am about 20min into this one and I just have to say you're awesome man. This has been a great tutorial. I am 35 years old and have tried to get into game design multiple times in my life and almost every time the lack of clear and concise instructions on how to use these types of tools and frustrated me to the point of stopping. This is the first time I have ever felt like I am getting somewhere. Thank you.
Could I be anymore thrilled to complete this tutorial. God! you are doing an amazing job. they way you have explained everything and reminding us. it is letting me have hope. yes, i can do this.
Thank you so much.!!!!!!!!!!!
best tutorial i've ever watch, even the video longer, its really explain everything very detail. thanyou so much for making these videoooo
This is honestly the best tutorial series I have ever seen. So much effort put into this to explain every minor step.
Huge thanks for sharing such an amazing project!
❤️❤️❤️
Hey is there any chance that you got a student discount for your course? I am honestly really interested!@@CGFastTrack
SESAC striking down part one but I am so glad that part 2 and 3 are up still! Love the tutorial; thank you so much for making such a resource free for us to get our feet wet!
Instantly subscribed, easly one of the best blender introductions I've ever watched, your work is very much appreciated❤
Your explanation its so good, i dont speak english so good but i did everthing, thanks dude, great channel.
You are by far the best instructor Ive seen thanks so much, I started yesterday and a feel so much better since i came across your video, thanks - Wallie Ai
You nailed it dude, you really took the time to go step by step, BRAVO
Love hot it is set up by chapter. Gives me dopamine each time I complete a chapter
Thank you so much sir for this amazing tutorial ❤
With your help I created this amazing model in just one day ☺️
Thank you so much ❤
@01:10:33 one has to scale the 5 vertices into a star shape.
I Can't believe this content is for free, thank you so much for the hard work!
Thank you for the great tutorials! Btw, the 'LacyViewport' plugin can now be found in the settings under 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'Keymap' -> 'Tool Keys' then switch from 'Immediate' to 'Active Tool'. Not sure this is new to blender but a bit easier :)
Incredible, I finished the donuts tutorial and discovered your channel with a little research. Your tutorials are the best I've ever seen on youtube, I can't wait to see part 3 tomorrow. I really want to buy the training but I don't know if your videos are on youtube (to have the subtitles in my language thanks to youtube).
broo love this series too much.
