YOOOO Clash Royale?!?!?!
Hehehe Ha
thats why dislike unfortunately...
love to watch your wids man, and for sure i dont need that crap of shit game they pay you for forcing to people who play souls game, wtf?! they found the target audience here? or you? put that crap away pls
or at LEAST make visible timestamps so i can skip this nonesense. very very sad sight.
hot tip: The perfumer's poison mist deals the highest poison damage in the game. Even scarlet rot can't keep up with it. Inflicting both will simply melt health bars. As for the Antspur, I actually recommend the Blood Tax ash of war. It allows for rapid status application AND it heals you, regardless of the affinity that you prefer. If you keep St.Trina's sword in your pocket (or sleep pots/bolts/arrows) you can knock out some targets and have tea while the rot eats them alive. Last, for other poison shenanigans consider the Coil Shield. No one expects a snake to the face!
thanks man I will be trying this
Rot from an incantation will do more damage than rot from a weapon or perfumer's poison mist, though both dragon incants cost a lot of fp and every rot incant is risky to cast mid fight. A venomous fang on poison affinity via the black whetblade will deal slightly less than the mist per tick, but last triple the duration(90s) and not require use of a consumable. Coil shield applies the same type of poison as the claws but you can't infuse it, so it's stuck at a 30s duration.
As for blood tax, I would instead recommend repeating thrust. The healing is mediocre, it deals noticeably less damage than repeating thrust, and it costs double the fp. Also, despite being a blood weapon skill, it applies no bleed on its own unless your weapon has the blood affinity selected.
Lastly, while not something mentioned here in this comment I saw he went for dragonice in the video, and if you solely want to proc frost I would actually just take a dagger with hoarfrost stomp. Staggers the hell out of malenia, and if your mimic tear has mohg's spear while you spam it she gets stunlocked and constantly frozen/bled, even in phase 2. Costs way less fp and has a very low weight requirement. Most enemies will only take 1-2 casts to freeze.

Damn it's nice to see you get a sponsor for your videos, you deserve it for all the hard work you've been doing
Thanks for watching, Jester!
This. I came here to comment the same thing; I've never felt happy to see an ad in video before lol
Your channel is due at least a few hundred thousand subs more for all the top quality content you make and the immense effort to keep top that top quality at such a steady pace. YT algorithms are clearly not doing their work.
These guides are so incredibly well put together and helpful. Keep up the good work mate, this content is premium 🙏😌
That’s ridiculously kind of you, Overcharged Egg! So glad you’re enjoying the channel. You’ll be in the credits for all future vids. Thank you!

I was literally looking for a Status build a few hours ago. Thank you for being the hero we both need and deserve :-)
Thanks for watching, Ur! Hope you like the build!
@@ThingfishyGaming Oh for sure. I like all of them, although I gotta say, this one is a bit special. The more op builds I enjoy the spectacle of in your videos and sometimes I do certain bosses with those builds on a respec mid playthrough. As for playing myself, I enjoy these not so op builds a bit more. It's still strong ofc but it's not the usual lead foot 1 damage attribute glass canon type of build. Either way, thanks for providing these videos!
Man I remember seeing your first INT guide a couple of months ago and really dug your style. You’ve come so far since then! Congrats and keep up the good work
I'm a huge fan of the Chikage and wanted to do a dex/arcane build on my first run, but steered away from it due to how busted it was. I think I'm ready to give it another shot though!
Chikage is almost certainly my most used Bloodborne weapon! Hope you enjoy the build!
Today is a good day, because we have a new Thingfishy video!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
Yes
Yes
Thingfish today video man
Finally getting the recognition with the sponsor, lesgo. Great video and build once again man. A similar dex arcane build was my very first build in this game, it's nice to see a more refined version of it from you. Makes me wanna redo that run.
Thats crazy clash sponsored you. Congrats. Well deserved. I like how you incorporate player pov and then show the map up in the top right. Great editing fishy.
Tip for running through Lake of Rot: roll once in it, then hop back onto dry land and let it proc. You'll get a version of rot that doesn't tick your health down quite as fast.
I have to say those parry bosses vids has been a blast to learn their moveset. Thank you truly for the awesome guides
Holy shit, I was just trying to do this build yesterday but didn’t think I could have 3 status affects on just one weapon. Bless 🙏
I've been sick all evening, and this is just the thing I needed to help me feel better. Thanks!
Ironic considering the build theme lol
Antspur is definitely my favorite weapon. One thing I've been wanting to do, is incorporate Poison Moth Flight into an offhand weapon for it, to deal chunks of damage when poison from either weapon procs. However, because of how statuses work in ER, it's hard to tell when an enemy is poisoned, as Scarlet Rot's red cloud overwrites the green cloud.
People call using statuses in ER overpowered, but those same people spam Moonveil, Rivers of Blood, and powerstance Greatswords. How are those any more fair? At least a decently amount of bosses are immune to status effects, but none are immune to magic or stance breaking from jump attacks.
When both procs together, the numbers of enemy's life bar will jump twice and really quick.
For the pure arcane status build I have a build to recommend. Venomous fang + bloodhound's claws + dragon communion seal are the main weapons for the majority of the game ending with mohg's spear + venomous fang + dragon communion seal. I run the dragonice and rotten breath incantations with minimum stats to use them. The rot from dragonbreath is the best type of rot and dragonice gets the cold debuff. Venomous fang deals the best type of poison. Both claws have an occult infusion. This allows for the strongest version of rot and poison while applying bleed with occult claws which are extremely effective and of course mohg's spear is insane. Talismans im using are shard of alexander, kindred of rot exultation, lord of blood's exultation and whatever is most useful for the last slot depending on stats or fashion. The most important stat requirement is 60 arcane to cap status application.
So one thing that could help with the godskin duo fight would be to poison and scarlet rot them both as fast as you can when the fight starts. Then their collective health bar is taking double damage from rot and poison ticks
Quick lorebit; the NPC at the start, Maleigh Marais, is a guy xD Lord of the Shaded Castle (probably booted out by the Briar Knight in the boss room though).
Edit: Thank you for the Night's Cav yeet demonstration in full. Very helpful, sincerely :)
Dammit! You know I actually googled this so I didn’t get it wrong but obviously read completely the wrong thing! Thanks for the extra lore, Techbot!
It would be great if you put a list of every item at the end of the video so that those of us in late game could get the build quickly. As always video quality was amazing - I’m currently on my second run through and I’m using your bloodhounds fang build.
Very cool build! Glad to see you getting a sponsor, jumping into the big leagues now 😁
I just searched for a rot build today and gave up as no videos were around. Now you made one? Holy shit! Amazingg vid!
love these vids. quite helpful, very entertaining.
would be quite nice if the video included bookmarks to let returning folks jump to the points they need.
Great job! I noticed the extra work you're putting in on the editing 👍
I followed your strength/dex build for my first playthrough, with some modifications of my own by dual wielding colossal greatswords and it was super fun! Since then I’ve been watching your build videos and I’ve got my future runs lined up already
Love your build videos, I never follow them as I like doing my own builds but always enjoy watching what you put out, a tip for the lake of rot... roll in the rot and let it proc on solid ground to get regular rot instead of the aggressive version the lake gives, it gives you a bit of an easier time getting through
Also congrats on getting a sponsored vid!
Came back to this to watch it again for enjoyment and remembered that you’ll make another version of this build. Can’t wait for it
Stumbled upon your build guides. Liked and subbed. Very well informed. And the 70 minute guide to a new character is 👌👌. Keep up the solid vids! 🙏🤘
sleep pots make godskin even easier too. Love the vids and build ideas!
Hey thingfishy, great content as always, do you actually still do any streaming of these set ups on twitch or have a place you put the vods as would be fun to more involved in the process and get more involved with the community and chat about maybe new skips, current patch things we might not know and just have a good laugh really. Cheers.
Also congrats on the sponsor, you deserve it
Thanks for watching, Nakki!
Babe wake up, Thingfishy uploaded
Lets gooo
I started doing this build this week and honestly its super smart doing the bleed that way instead of the one that you have stab yourself to apply it
Another banger! You're the reason I'll challange myself in elden ring
Tip for the nights cav: no need to do it on the ledge, use the tree branch on the left on the other side of the bridge.(directions based on you starting on the grace side)
Ok bro that is mind reading at the next level, Yesterday i was thinking: "i wish someone makes an arcane build with poison and rot, i need something like this so much". Thank you for the build Always amazing
Just found out your content and immensely enjoying your videos
keep making these, you're certainly one of the best Elden Ring creator, the editing is top notch!
I love status effect builds! Gonna try this today, might add the frozen needle in the off hand just to throw in some cold procs more often as well
I have been patiently waiting for a new video to drop :D I really loved the maliketh build!!! Looking forward to more bangers
Love the videos!!! I’ve basically watched them all!!! You’re probably already on it but tiny request… Can you do more NG++ builds please 🙏🏽
this dude rising when I started watching videos he had like 13k now he’s at 25 and still growing a ton
One alternative to the Frost Breath that might work is having a second thrusting sword like the Estoc with a frost affinity. Other than that. Good luck to any of you who tries this build.
Did this in a build. Works wonders.
Yoooooo grats on the sponsor too
Thanks for watching, Megurman!
Dragoncrest greatshield is a phenomenal pve talisman that a lot of the community sleeps on. It’s basically like putting on an entire set of medium armor on top of current gear
Thingfishy uploads a build.
Me: “looks like I’m canceling my plans for the day”
Thanks for all the hard work! After my first playthrough of Elden Ring, I immediately wanted to try another character as I did with DS3 (25 characters and counting). But the open world, really messed with my fun as everything seemed so spread out making the beginning of the game such a drag, but with your help it's been so much fun to create new characters and try new builds. Thanks a lot, you've kept me from going hollow on this game!!
One request though, I'm dying to see your take on a madness build. Thematically it seems like a fun way to play, but hard to make PvE viable.
I'm not very good at this game yet.
I had a lot of fun using the Antspur status build you did but with minimal leveling and stuck to Limgrave, had a lot of fun being summoned for bosses while dressed as (and named after) Maleigh, but I feel like it took far more hits than it should to procc anything. I went with power stanced thrusting swords because the second L1 is a nice triple hit with the right weapon, in this case antspur with rot and poison. I wasn't good enough to beat Radahn to get bleed as well, so I stuck it on a Noble's Estoc in the left hand. I don't think I ever procced bleed, but I felt powerful. Not a whole lot of damage at the low levels, so I'm half decent at dodging Margit now, thanks!
Technically you can use Antspur + incantations with the Warriors starting stats + Faith Knot + Radagon Soreseal without any leveling at all which was hillarious.
Ahh, I started a Antspur run the other day, powerstancing with Frozen Needle. I was quite tickled in my Goderick fight when i managed to PERFECTLY time the finger point gesture for his death to scarlet rot.
I believe the Ripple weapons (albinauric ones) and various greases are the best best for a pure arcane build, or certainly a fun one. Need to try it myself at some point
Gonna watch before bed. Hope you have fun making the videos like i have fun watching it.
Excellent video as always TF.
These really are great guides, man. Very detailed in every video.
Another dex/arc status effect build I've had a lot of fun with is dual wielding Reduvia and Scorpion's Stinger. If you start out most boss battles with two Scorpion's Stinger weapon arts, and then follow up with a couple of Reduvia weapon arts, almost half of the boss' health bar is gone and still ticking down within 10 seconds.
Everytime thingfishy drops a builds, my excitement reaches to peak... 😀
Always excited to see another new video from you, keep up the good work!
Would try this but I’ve got like 20 chr on go rn
You know what mate liked and even sat through the sponsor, I beat the game because of one of your builds.
cant wait to see the full arcane build in the future
I watch these to relax, fantastic day for another video
never thought I would see supercell do sponsorships, congrats 👏
@thingfishy Great video and build, excellent explanation and no fluff going into stuff we already know. Earned a sub.
I still don't understand why players insist on fighting Rykard from the perimeter. I beat him my first playthrough by standing underneath him and hitting his wound (due to my ignorance of how to use the Serpent Hunter). Worked well enough that he didn't make it to his meteor shower in his second phase.
Really interesting. I abandoned a bleed build in the late game because I found it so unsatisfying but this looks fun.
Intros are always top notch. Best in the business!
Knight's Cav still works as of 1.09; I just did it. Got Bloodhound's Step.
You could also dual wield rapier and add the Freezing Rapier of the Kingsrealm Ruins to have frost build up
Your video editing is amazing, and the build is so we'll explained.
Fishy, awesome guide as always. So great moments. But I have to say... Did you bleed proc Malenia mid-leap there 🤯? And then parry her big lunge right after? I didn't know that was parry-able. Great stuff man. And congrats on the sponsor too.
Thingfishy makes the best Elden ring videos on RUclips
Hey man your vids are so good, well thought out and showcased I decided I had to sub and let you know lol
Dang. I might actually try this one. I have been wanting to learn how to parry. Status effects are so cool. Great video. It doesn't look like you applied anything to Fire Giant though.
Awesome as always man.
Was just watching something on antspur yesterday. Truly devastating and versatile weapon.
As far as suggestions go.
Corpse wax cutter just got buffs and is pretty sick. And we could start the playthrough by just poison mist killing the black blade kindred at Dragonborough
Seems like a promising set up
Not gonna lie, I was kinda like.. Yay another arcane build. Then I saw you went for Antspur and you got my attention. I feel this weapon is slept on by a lotta youtubers and not featured as much as it should be. My dex build dual wields these with bleed on both and I use blood tax on my main hand.. such good utility from the healing received from it. The damage output is very good and they hit super fast. Everyone is so focused on curved swords for these kinda builds but rot is underrated and powestancing thrusting swords has a really nice moveset. Much more fun than a curved sword jump attack spam build. I do bleed over poison just bc I like the white mask a lot better than the mushroom helm, but poison is a solid option. Think I may have to put poison mist on my offhand rapier after watching this 🤔
did the same build but with an ice off-stoc, the second L1 of powerstanced thrusting swords is are 3 thrusts with your right hand, makes for really fast status procs
F the exams thingfish just uploaded
ty for these guides
they are making my fun last days
and im getting better at the game
really ty :)))
Another great vid! Waiting for a frost & fire build from you. :D
Loving these guides just binged them all! Hoping for a Dragon Scale Blade or Dragon Halberd!
Great video might use it when i play 😅
Could you if you have time make a poise/blocking build so basically a tank
always nice to see your ideas, and the work you put on your videos, congrats!
Congrats on getting sponsored by such a big brand!
ooooh havent been this excited for a build in a while
damn my last playthrough was literally this exact same build! glad im seeing antspur getting some love
Oh man, I remember the gargoyles. My third playthrough was a status build quite like this one. Ran to altus at the start and got the antspur rapier. Absolutely steamrolled Godrick, Rennala and Radahn. Decided to go straight into Nokron since I was feeling strong. Ended up fighting the gargs with a +9 antspur rapier for I want to say 2-3 hours. There was no satisfaction when I won, only relief. Still hate the fight today for how cheap it is. Glad someone else knows my pain.
the poison spraymist perfume will do much more tick damage than the ash I believe. this also opens up the ability to use a different ash of war, something with frost so you dont even have to bother with dragon communion incantations
The dot builds always sound fun. But as Gideon taught us, that T in dot stands for time lol
Thingfishy delivering absolute banger elden ring videos week in week out what a day
I see a new Thingfishy guide and I click the like button and settle in :)
I would like to see fishy’s approach to a sword and shield run, however, I must say this build is fun, with good damage, so l like it.
You can use the Ice raiper and subokou to add ice and bleed to these too Also flame cleanse me will help you get rid of rot
I was cooking up something like this actually. Something that used every status besides death blight, and all the dragon incants like greyolls roar. Status is just ultra mean to do to people LOL
Or you can really be a menace and powerstance curved swords with raptor of the mist.
Tip: with raptor of the mist anything and everything triggers it
wow that was amazing thanks !
Use a frostbite rapier in the off hand, with a bleed antspur in your main to REALLY bully enemies
Alternatively the special dragon scarlet rot has a higher tick damage than normal scarlet rot and the Venomous Fang weapon with a poison affinity deals Deadly Poison status with the duration of normal poison.
The moment you proc deadly poison with Venomous Fang switch to a spear with ice lance and get some frostbite in, then either use fire to reset frostbite or bleed to bleed the boss inbetween frost resets.
Dropping the People's Elbow...lol. Can you smell what the Rot is cooking? Love this video. I'm running something like this, but now I'm going to change it to this exact one...Thanks.
The Ofnir clips show how important it is to have a weapon that staggers small bosses like him and Leonine, for example. Pretty brutal fights otherwise. Easy to underestimate after playing with big weapons.
Another epic intro man u r da best
Another AWESOME video. How do you record? And do you use console or PC? and those sounds tracks - I am still amazed at how you get that perfect music! Could you please share some of the video editing and recording secrets? THANK YOU
Can you do a bow or a pot only build guide?
Just FYI, the kindred of rot talisman works when 'anyone' nearby is poisoned, even yourself. If you eat a Raw Meat Dumpling it will poison you but also apply the increase in damage. But.. then you're also poisoned so.. not sure if worth it..
EDIT: Same thing works with the lord of bloods exultation and using the Seppuku ash of war.
