I can't use this feature, even though my Apple Intelligence is already activated. When I open the Image Playground, my phone prompts me to set up image creation first. However, nothing happens when I tap the setup button.

True. Unless you want to know which phones support it (most common discussion in comments) or want to make sure it's turned on in settings (doesn't work unless you activate it) but otherwise.. yes .. the demo starts at 1:50 😁
Yes, totally agree. I think Apple knows their audience pretty well. Mid-journey is awesome, but probably not for people who are putzing around on their iPhones.
I hate to say it but this very much feels like an apple version of AI. It's novel but probably not very useful for most people. If you want actual AI Image generation you're probably going somewhere else. IMHO.

It’s doing the same thing to me.
I was having the same issue. Went to imessage and clicked the “+” icon. Went to image “creation playground” and for some reason that made it work

For someone who subscribes to Midjourney, Apple’s image generator is truly for the playground.

My ip 15 pro max have the ios 18.2 update and Im from mongolia, the app doesnt work at all
