I’m a graphic designer who uses other image creation apps like Adobe Firefly and Freepik. I thought Image Playground was useless, but after watching your video, I find it much more useful. Thanks, Gary! I really appreciate it! By the way, there’s one thing that no one talks about, and I’m crazy for it: you don’t need Wi-Fi or data to use it. It works offline! That’s incredible!
When I create images for events I'm careful not to use copyrighted photos - this is a solution! If wonder if I can tell Image Playground to leave space in the center of an image so that the key images won't be obscured by headline and text in the center. I'll play with it.
@@mv80401 - I do menus for local restaurants, annual reports for several small companies, and other projects. Finding applicable art for a project can be both costly and time consuming. I recently was asked for a Christmas themed menu for a steakhouse, specifically a laughing/smiling/jovial Santa in a cowboy hat. 😳 There is a need, a business use, for these features.
Thanks Gary! I never would have figured all that stuff out. But IP works remarkably well. Only tiny snag: All the steps required to set it up: MacOS said 15.2 was installed but I still couldn't find IP. Almost downloaded some app of the same name from the App Store. I had to wait for 15.2 to finish downloading something in the background (no progress bar), had to enable AI, wait for AI to finish downloading in the background (again, no progress bar), wait for IP and models to download (again, no progress bar!) Thanks for including that note at the beginning directing us to read Apple's support doc! Very helpful and the rest of your video was excellent!
I like the custom wallpaper idea! However, when it comes to adding illustrations to writing assignments, I would be wary. AI seems to be a grey area in school these days. It could lead professors to suspecting your writings are AI as well.
I wasn't suggesting it for a school assignment. But even so, what's the alternative if you want to include an illustration? Use clipart? Hire someone else to draw an illustration? Not everyone can draw. I certainly can't. I think whether it is AI, clipart, or work-for-hire, it would be the proper thing to do to learn about attribution. So write a short story about a spider on a farm, then get AI to make a cover illustration, then put "Cover Art: Apple Image Playground."
I tried to make iPhone (back side) but it doesn’t like the term “iPhone” haha so i had to just drew the back side of the iPhone and had to give it more commands like “apple, ios, titanium” and some responses were extremely funny.
Thanks once again Gary. I’ve just collected my IPhone 16 Max Pro so content like this is of great interest to me. So pleased to be a patreon member which helps to support your channel thank you from 🇬🇧
Maybe 🤷🏼♂️, but remember this is just tech, a tool, the issues come from the user who might use AI for illegal uses. People are injured by screwdrivers and hammers every day, they aren’t evil, they are just tools.
@@ChadStJohn-vz7ru Useless to you, sure. Sounds like it. But not every app is used by every person. I'm sure there are things on your Mac you use all the time that others never use and thus it is "useless" to them. Remember this is macOS, not chadOS.
I wonder how internally censored this app is. Example: instead of all the kitsch, how about something more relevant to our computers, such as _"Asian slaves assembling our electronics for peanut wages"_ . Would Image Playground make such an image?
App does not work. I filled every example you did in video. Ex I type birthday party. And app did nothing except display error unable to use description

Yes !!! This right here !!!
Perfect timing for this video, just what I need today. Thanks
Very cool! Thank you! When it comes to AI I’m more than a little clueless, but I can immediately see uses for this!
Excellent tutorial. This is the first video I’ve seen that suggested worthwhile uses for this feature in the real world. Many thanks!
Completely agree
Almost overwhelming but you are so, so good at simplifying. Kudos!
I had no idea we could use more than one text prompt. I've been trying to squeeze everything in to one line. Thank you 😃
Really useful! Thanks.
Looks to be a very useful tool. Is it available for Imac 2017 running on Ventura please?
Great job Gary as usual 👏👏🔥
Happens a lot: I think, hmm is there a video about this particular thing, and than there is a Video from Gary about this particular thing 👍
Cool. I just checked and 15.2 is just now available for me, less than 5 minutes ago. Looks like I'll have more fun than usual on a Friday.

Very useful video that’s given me ideas how I might use IP in the future. For now, no immediate need.
IMAGE PALY GROUND "UNABLE TO USE THAT DISCRIPTION" ERROR POPS UP AND I am not able too use anything here
As usual, very clear video and very useful 👍

Wow. This is the best tutorial of imageplayground by far. Actual use cases
Great video. I've already used a couple of images on a website I'm developing. Thanks for the ideas!
I could not find the App?
Are the images created with the help of AI, copyright/royalty free and owned by me?
I used Playground to make album covers for collections of songs in Apple Music.
You ae quite imaginative Gary! Freeform and folder icons! :-) Amazing uses Gary. 🙂
I upgraded my Mac to 15.2 and this app is not showing up anywhere: not in other apps, not in apps folder, nowhere? I have an M1 Mac MIni

Is this apples app
What use is this? Underwhelming and why use it.
Ain't working for me at all. Nada, zero, zip.
Just get the dialog box saying unable.

Thanks for your support!
Jobs would be horrified about this "feature" if he was alive.
Why?

Because it’s a useless app. Not an app that will be used after the initial plying around with it. I deleted the app

Try restarting it. Sometimes it gets stuck. Apple still labels it as "beta" for this reason, even though Sequoia 15.2 itself is out of beta.
@ thankyou. It was showing beta until I restarted
