the good, the bad, the ugly so far All I heard was good, read some bad but and a few uglies, thanks for hte share . looks awesome and quite normal for the sloping, due to strapping, the thing I love to know is is there a new version coming
Curious if I am to take my bike to a non U.K. country can the U.K. restrictions be removed ? Be nice if toggleable when visiting countries with more sensible e-bike rules
how is the torque on the fork dropouts? i would imagine it would be best fitted on a steel rigid fork to avoid the aluminium getting chewed up. i love the concept though andy. i got one of your 2000w rear hub kits last year and its still running bang on and more than fast enough.
Really really can't wait to fit mine to my Trek Marlin 5. Ordered on the 1st day, so I'm hoping it's this week. Bit worried that I've not had any tracking or shipping emails.. anticipation is killing me! 😅
Hi Andy, u have uploaded good stuff🎉 I think ,the price for the conversion kit should be pocket friendly especially for students, recent graduates Any student discounts? #Sustainability#❤
Fits any bike? Here's a claim that swytch also made. What about the Dahon Curve D3 with 16 inch wheels. However they're 305 size and smaller than the Brompton.
I agree, it just looks a bit ridiculous but it solves the problem of just having a normal bike you have to peddle hard up hills, and... it's good for those without the mechanical confidence to fit a hub drive conversion kit so I can see its appeal.
I’ve been watching this kit since you posted it on RUclips but the price has gone up from £450 I was looking forward to having it but now the price has gone up
@@andykirby My kit came with a split rim and a dent on it. The hall sensor was damaged, and the pins did not align with the connector. someone must of dropped it. I tried contacting and sent photos but no reply. The rim is jus sitting in the garage now and i ended up just buying a cheapish mtx rim off ebay so i can atleast use the controller + display. I did not buy a battery off your site to accompany the kit so i have no say on your company battery wise like @originalgrumpyoldman has
I'm sorry for these issues, let me chat with our support team about this as this is certainly not a satisfactory customer experience. Can I just check you both were emailing support@kirbebike.com right?
I’m all down to try stuff like this I just feel like 500 pound for 15.5mph is a bit steep for me personally
For sure can't wait for the upgrades and mods but really well built and ease of use the best kind of engineering
I really miss this style of video Andy, vapour days banging along at high speed watching the ride chilling with some tunes.
There's more coming!
loving the music andy
Definitely going to try this looks great for a first ebike entry level
The bike looks great and because the battery is not on the from from first glance you wouldn't even think it was a ebike.

That's mighty fancy bro!🎉😂
I have a quick release style front wheel. Will this EZ kit work? Thanks!
Good stuff Andy 👍🤜

It looks like the perfect solution. Would it fit a Giant Trance 2018 mtb by any chance?
IMPRESSIVE ANDY
Hey Andy, I just got a 2nd EZ Rider but the controller main unit shows an error code "9" and doesn't make the bike work. Any idea what the issue is?
Hi Andy, I have a Bike E recumbent with a 16" front wheel. I was thinking of converting it to electric power. Do you have a kit to fit? Cheers.
I have the same bike in red and black 😂 and did look at the 1000 pound Rock rider ebike though I paid 420 without so would I save ?
Good kit. Was thinking of getting one until i saw the price. Was expecting around £300 mark.
You'd be lucky, that's around our cost price😅
Just curious, Andy - what - if any is the rolling resistance of that geared motor with the power off - just pedalling?
Very minimal resistance with a motor this small.
Yeah its very low. I often just ride this bike with assist off completely.
@@andykirby Thanks.
Is there an American version of this ?
Is it available with a 700c road bike wheel?
I found someone who makes a thru Axle hub-
Grin, but boy they ain’t cheap.
No they are not.

Same here ordered on day1. Just confirmation from email.
How many miles can you get?
Does the kit have around the same power as the Fiido D3 Pro?
Awesome!👍
Hey andy do u sell stealth bomber front wheel n kit in shop carrnt find itt
Can you turn the light off?

Can anyone tell me the model of the donor bicycle please and where to buy it
Is a through axle a quick release type?
No.
Fits any bike? Here's a claim that swytch also made. What about the Dahon Curve D3 with 16 inch wheels. However they're 305 size and smaller than the Brompton.
We could probably source that wheel.
I've bin holding my opinion on that ugly thing hanging off the front of that bike for a while
You can just use a regular ebike kit if you don't like it!

Some small mods, and import duty!
Yeah unfortunately we have to add the tax, blame the government🙄
@@andykirby The tax right 🤣
I was all set to order, until I saw the latest price, out of my budget now 😕. Pity, it looked brilliant.
What if you have a through axle?
Not Compatible with a thru Axle
Tuff unfortunately.
Its $500 that definitely ain't cheap
Better then 5000 tho
haha "Cheap"
If you look at a ready-made e-bike, you can part with 2K and up for one!
Yep, there's some that cost even more. Remember if you have a bike then you don't need to buy another one.
bad vid
What's the problem?
@@Old_Man_Pete same issue here
OK, you've got my attention...
