Very nicely done 👍👍👍 I really liked the cable management. Took me back a bit, we used spiral wrap all the time where I used to work, great stuff but time consuming to apply over long lengths.
Very clever use of "stuff" to hide wires and give a very neat look! 750Wh+ of usable power should give you decent range! Kirby for his expense uses decent gear! Not using the throttle seems like a good idea as I have my throttle mid drive ebike (which I don't pedal) and runs 4Kw max and is great for riding to work but having 1440Wh only gets me about 30 to 50 kilometers of range! More power more waste! I really like riding my 250W Mid drive ebike which is PAS only and with only 500Wh can get me 70 to 100 Kilometers of range! and is just as much fun to ride even if a lot slower it has never disappointed me! Looking forward to the follow up video!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback and kind words about our product! We are thrilled to hear that you appreciate the design and the effort we put into creating a neat and functional e-bike. It's great to know that the 750Wh+ of usable power is meeting your expectations and providing a decent range.
I'm not surprised you modified the torque arm assembly, it did look more than a little flimsy. Take care where you charge the battery. There have been several devastating fires resulting from charging E batteries indoors.
You may laugh but it does make people hear you coming. 2 short beeps and they can hear it. I have got right up to dog walkers before ringing a bell like mad and they don't hear it, and then there are walkers with headphones on blocking out all external sounds. And the mobile phone zombies.
@myfordboy even when you have pedel assist. For my diy E bike on my display if I stop pending the mph drops to zero. I was told to get a magnet and put it on the spokes with a sensor
@@nonoyorbusness big mistake to make! Read the UK EAPC regulations: 250w motor max , fixed max epeed of 25kph (not adjustable by user) etc. etc You are not arguing with me here, you are going to be arguing with the law

You do such a great job, and we truly appreciate your dedication and hard work.Let's ride forward together!👏👏👏
Thank you so much for the effort and time you spend on your craft. And all the editing it takes to make a vid. You do such a great job.
Using the crank puller as an arbor, very sensible. I do like that rear light. Nice job, properly detailed, well done.
Well spotted!
Take that down to the pub on for a nice Sunday carver, Mrs Fordboy will have to get one,of course

Looks like a nice kit. Thumb 👍
Thank you for the compliment!
Nice project 👍
A lovely neat job as I would expect from you, Clever chap :)
As ever, like the modifications.
Very nicely done as always :)
As always great work

They have to supply an arm that would fit any bike, not everyone could make a custom one. That hose clip though looks awful.
Where did you the caps from m8 ? (For the unused plugs)
I 3d printed it.
Horn's a bit on the quiet side - how about fitting one from a truck or train?

Does the display continue to show your Mph ?If you're coasting
@@tallman145 Yes. Mph and distance is recorded whether you are pedaling with or without power assist or coasting.

@@tallman145 That's crazy. The display should show mph whenever the wheels are turning.
@@myfordboy maybe I did something wrong when I put it together
The KirbEbike motor has the speed sensor in the motor, maybe your does not.
Don't use it on the road if you value your licence. Youve created a moped and as far as the Uk law is concerned it should have mot, tax and insurance.
Not if it's pedal assist which it is.

Shit guys got a bee in his bonnet no where in this bike shown used on a road

drilling the bike frame that took some courage?
It had to be done! Actually it was very easy, the frame is alloy.
@@myfordboy I would have taken a few deep breaths
What frame size
This bike has an18" frame
