Even if it WAS just the same as a Swytch kit… being able to just go onto a website, see the price and actually buy it would be a huge advantage over the Swytch on its own! Really keen to get one of these on my old Electra Rat Rod Cruiser!
..Great kit, i have one leg so 15 miles is around my limit on a normal mountain bike, this kit will help massively with doing the longer rides i have planned.
Really impressed with this. I could just about cope with the limited range for my commute but in a previous video, I believe you mentioned the possibility of an extra battery becoming available later that would run in parallel which would certainly satisfy my concerns in that respect. I like the idea of a "sleeper" electric bike so I feel a little safer locking it up outside a shop or wherever and just removing the battery. Can I make a suggestion to improve the convenience/ safety? Maybe for a future version or as an optional extra if it's at all possible without totally redesigning the battery unit. How about being able to adjust the power assist level from near the grips with an up-down toggle? It wouldn't need LED's or anything fancy, just 2 buttons. This could be built into the obviously deactivated throttle unit ;) Just a thought
I think I'm needing this kit! Broke my ankle 4 weeks ago and it's buggered, The range on this seems like it will get me up to the allotment and back, and might even get me home from work!
I used to design Laser Cutting machines Andy. Retired now, I like the easy fit front wheel solution and it looks well thought out. If I didn't already have a folding E Bike, I would certainly be interested in having one to convert my old (genuine) Raleigh bike. Made here in Nottingham of course...🤔😳😏😏😏🇬🇧
Sounds like overkill but would love a rear version of this with same battery unit under rear seat. It could look pretty sick particularly with the light strip, and 250w equals 500w plenty of power!
It would indeed, but they would have to introduce some super fast charging. Average android phone charger is 45w no more. That would take serious hours to charge. Xiaomi does 120w charging, it takes 5000mah battery to be charged in 15 minutes.
@@MrYorcekthe fastest phone chargers that don't require a huge brick to carry around are about 100 Watts, should be fine for the kirbebike battery as it would take less than 3 hours to charge from flat which is on par or quicker than most ebike batteries. Even a slower 45 W charger you could trickle charge the battery and it will be done by the time you finish work/school plus the slower charge will help prolong the life of the battery. There's a lot of potential here.
I wouldn't worry about wheel slip. l've had a 250w front drive kit (yose power) on my road bike whith 25mm tyres and its only a problem on ice or very mossy areas ect. I think this kit will do well. Looks very neat as well.
I like the fact you’ve got a light on the front, although to be honest with you for road safety standards, I think you have to have white on the front and red on the back. That’s why people are so concerned. I like the fact it’s easy to pedal, I also like the break adaption, so you can have rim, brakes or disc brakes as well and for the price. It’s a pretty cool unit
Did you actually watch the video at all? He clearly stated the front light will be changed to white, when they become available to buy! Watch the video before you comment!!
Would love to see how this would perform on an adult trike. I love in Florida were there are thousands of elderly retirees riding trikes daily. I have a very old Sun trike that weighs about 45 pounds. What do you think?
Swytch ebikes originally sold ebike kits under Panda ebikes brand . noticed there battery has an option to be fitted on the rear seat post good way of distributing the weight would be option for your kits if that’s possible free up the handlebars . So if you only use the motor on the hills or maybe bad headwind stretches you might get at least 50 -70 miles out of it ? What about fitting it to a 700c wheel road bike as well
I think you definitely have a winner with this mate I have a 1000w homemade ebike but thinking of getting one of these kits to turn my ebike in to a AWD ebike would that be possible with this kit really like this nice one man 👍
