The same way many people can't (or choose not to be able to) pronounce "oo". Moon becomes "mewn", food becomes "feud", cows apparently "mew". Annoys me intensely.

NO! She is wrong and has concept of recent (past 20 years) fashion, or what the non mainstream wore.
In recent history "huuudi" became a bit popular during the 90's with Gangster Rap.,and some people who were into hip hop but the average person never wore it.
It would of died but in the late 1990s or early 2000's people in the alternative rock scene adopted it. It was actually people in the alternative scene that popularized it and blown it into the mainstream, not Hip hop as most people think.

This wasn't a history of hoodies. You gave a history of hooded garments. Stop abusing the language by using a specific term only around since the 90s for a single type of clothing item to refer to everything in history with a hood on it.

I'm sorry; Mark Zuckerberg what?? Bad example. You should probably start with the 'hood' and WHY it was conceived/invented. This isn't much of a history lesson. Nowhere did she mention its actual practical purposes other than to keep warm. I'm definitely inspired though. Inspired to research the actual history and maybe create my own rendition on the subject.
Also, the editing was nice! Sound effects could use a bit more mixing, but the design is great.

I love hoodies I always used to wear them at school a lot and outside didn't know it had a history behind it.
And then in 2007 ubisoft released this video game
"It doesn't happen that often for a garment to have so much symbolism and history..." - you can not name a garment without symbolism. You maybe don't know them, but these meanings do exist.
The hoodies were also worn in ancient cultures by ladies to cover themselves as a concept of vague veil.

She's actually talking about the _hood,_ not the _"hoodie"._
The thing that you pull over your head and is attached to some other garment has always been called a "hood", while the "hoodie" means, quite specifically, the modern _sweatshirt_ with a hood. Several of her illustrations of older "hoodies" are totally different garments, like capes and overcoats, with hoods.
A whole "TED" video about a concept she hasn't even understood at all.

I dont like hoodies. If you leave them in your back they are a useless peace of fabric that can cause many troubles, catch dirty things, get stuck in branches, jumps and moves around and adds useless tactile impulses in the back. When you put them on the head you get disconnected from the environnement, you can not properly feel the wind, humidity, and locate sounds. If someone wants to harm you, the hood will make you blind and help your thief stealing your goods.
