Great video :D I was wondering how should you store your sample wedding dress? My wedding is in 4 months and I just bought the wedding dress but have no idea how to store it. I did hear your podcast about how to store after your wedding once it’s dry-cleaned. Would be great to know about pre-wedding storage tips :D Thank you
Thank you!! :) Great question! I suggest watching this video on how to properly hang a wedding dress: ruclips.net/video/ahT4sp7frto/видео.html And you want to keep your dress in a dark/cool place (back of a closet is ideal) You want to avoid heat and direct exposure to sunlight as that will cause discoloration and tarnishing of metal/stones. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Is 18 months to the wedding too early to go to sample sales? I know if I special order I want to start shopping 8+ months in advance to account for the actual construction of the dress. I would love to buy a new new dress but am on a tight budget so sample sales are the direction I am planning to go in.
It truly depends on the gown and bridal store. Typically markdowns start at 10% and can be as much as 70% - You'll need to inquire with the bridal store you are working with. As stated in the video - condition and gown availability is typically what drives the amount the store is willing to markdown.
I love buying sample dresses too! I say “dresses” as a bride…because I bought a total of 6 dresses now…
Many of my brides buy a sample as their second dress! They are such great options!
Yes! It is a fantastic option! :)

What range of reduction do I expect in buying a sample dress. I understand that the condition of the dress should be in consideration.
It just depends on all the factors and what the store is willing to sell the dress for. Anywhere from 20-70% off is possible.
How much would you mark down sample gown when it’s practically new?
