A big thing for me was getting my fiancé on board. When we were talking budget before didn’t have a clear idea of what wedding dresses realistically cost. But once I broke down what all goes into a wedding dress and what the market was he was absolutely supportive and onboard for setting aside a budget that would allow me to get a dress I would feel like my most beautiful self in. And I completely agree on not letting other people’s thoughts sway you. My family hates my dress. And that’s a shame. But they’re not the ones who have to wear it. So their opinion is not welcome. If I made decisions to please them on my wardrobe i know I wouldn’t be my best self on wedding day.
Getting the fiancé on board is not easy because just like you mentioned brides don't know what things cost and the fiancé can't fully understand what the dollar buys unless they are a part of the shopping process. Once everything comes together it starts to make more sense for everyone involved. This is such a unique process. I'm really happy to hear how confident you are in your decision and not allowing family to get in the way of you wearing what makes you feel beautiful and confident on this really special day that you're marrying your person in! :)
So important that brides invest in alterations. They truly make or break the final fit and look of a dress. And NOBODY does alterations better than Lovella.
Far more was spent on my alterations at an experienced wedding gown seamstress, than the cost of my deeply discounted David’s Bridal sample sale. My veil was a gift from my aunt and also far more expensive than the dress. It already fit me almost perfectly, and it was still well worth it to get a good tailor.
1. Don’t compromise bc of price, as it’s the most important garment you will ever wear and will be captured in photos forever. Saving a couple hundred dollars is not worth it. 2. Be open to what you think you may not like in terms of style. 3.You get what you pay for, so don’t skimp on accessories like the veil.
hello! i was wondering if you had any tips about same sex weddings and how to make sure the two dresses compliment each other but don't look the same? :)
Do you have tips for plus sized brides? I have intense terror around wedding dress shopping as a plus sized bride. I don't want to look like a beaded beached whale and I'm sure that I will because I'm plus sized but I don't have those big boobs or hips that fashion designers seem to think i should.
Here is the video that will be live on June 22nd (ruclips.net/video/Znb-2e6mwHc/видео.html) Let me know if you have any follow-up questions! 💜 Happy to make more videos
I love your videos! I am a 5' petite bride with a short torso & short legs. I also have a lot of medical conditions that I have to use 100% silk or organic cotton fibers, no halters, and lightweight dress. What kind of dress would you recommend for me?
Hello! i would start trying dresses on and see what you like best on you! This video may help as well: ruclips.net/video/OGPt3Uc3jz8/видео.html Let me know if anything else is needed!
Hii! I’ve been watching your videos all day 😅. I have a doubt about veils. I’ve been trying to find videos with a dress like mine and see how do you style with the veil. My dress is a straight line, top is see through with rhinestones and from the waist down is plain white. My wedding is at the beach.
Great content, IMHO from seeing brides wear formal, or elaborate dresses for beach weddings, really it just doesn't work. it looks slightly sad and really just not appropriate.
Thank you, glad you're enjoying my content. I hear you - however, who are we to judge if it makes a bride feel beautiful and confident to marry her person.. :)
HiNayri. I am a bride to be in Nigeria and I want to get my wedding dress from Lovella. Is it possible? I have a cousin in the US though. Can I have an email address or some sort of contact please? thank you

We're eloping in St. Thomas alone. All this drama just doesn't suit who we are. We're loners lol!

Excellent advice! Really.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed!
Love the necklace! Where’d you get it? Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you! It's from a jeweler in downtown Los Angeles.
@@WeddingFashionExpert Oh that's awesome. I'm really close. Which Jeweler?

Can the chest of an illusion neckline be altered?
Yes, depending on the dress it can.
