Can you do a video on what the dollar buys you in bridal? Is there actually a quality difference in a 3k dress and 8k dress ?

Just discovered your channel and I find it very interesting! This is a really interesting video- especially the points touching upon making contracts with designers. Something that could be really interesting is a discussion and comparison of different fabric types, quality pricing and so on. Another thing could be: what to save money on vs spend money on (gown details) Thanks for a great video

As a car salesperson-now-bridal consultant, these are a lot of great points! The reason why a brand new vehicle at a dealership is negotiable is because the starting price is above MSRP. Depending on supply/demand and how likely the manager at the dealership thinks they will be able to sell the car to a higher paying customer determines what the price is that day. A brand new car is very very very rarely sold at MSRP, especially in today's market. Bridal is completely different because charging more or less than a designer's set price is unacceptable. If there are pricing issues, the designer will pull that line of gowns and give the collection to a different boutique.

I’m in a pickle where I buy a dress in my state but have to take it to a seamstress to get it tailored (I’m inbetween size and the store cant tailor my dress because it is not their label) or I can buy the dress out of state from the actual designer’s US store and have it sent to me in my exact measurements. Just a scary thought buying out of state and if something goes wrong. But am also worried about finding the right seamstress to get my dress tailored. Not sure what the best option is🥹

Hi Jasmine! This is a great question. We used to do a lot of custom measurements at Lovella Bridal and have learned that even when you do custom measurements, the dress does not come perfectly fitted to you. You still need alterations. While you may not need as much work done. Work still has to be done. Typically alterations are charged based on opening and closing seams - it doesn't matter how much fabric they take in or let out. The cost to open and close a seam if it's half an inch or three inches is the same $$ amount. So really, there isn't that much of a benefit to ordering the custom measurements from our personal experience in-store. You would also still need a seamstress for the hem and bustle. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
