Y'all, senior cats and dogs are the best. Just like humans, the older you get, the more life experience you have, the more likely you are to really appreciate the good experiences and especially when circumstances change for the better. I swear to God they know. And because they know, they will show you in ways that you could never have imagined how thankful they are and how much they love you. Many county and city shelters as well as rescues in your community have a senior pet adoption program. These cats and dogs are so worthy of a deserving home to live their senior years. I mean, isn't that what anyone of us would want when we're old and infirm? To just be accepted and loved for who we are?
Amen! I just adopted an 11.5 year old Chihuahua. They told me she was 9. Turns out she needs seizure medication. At first, I was like, "Oh, no... what have a gotten myself into." Anyhow, she is the most loving, affectionate little chi I've ever met. I needed her more than she needed me to heal from my 12 year old chi I lost in November. Sometimes these senior pets pick you because they just KNOW. Even though the new pup needs meds, I wouldn't trade her affection for the world. She can spend her Golden years with me. Love this. 💕🐕🐶💐
@@ceecee8757 so, so we'll stated!! And big, huge ups to you for adopting a senior. I've adopted two senior cats in my past, 14-year-old Clide and 8-year-old Henry. They are no longer with us sadly. Clide passed from cancer at about 16 and 1/2 years old, and we adopted Henry in Clide's memory and honor because Clide was also a diabetic, and Henry's family was going to euthanize him when he was diagnosed with diabetes. I used to think my pupper was going to continue to be energetic and active for so much longer but now at 14 he's really slowed down. He developed hip dysplasia at around 8 or so but it didn't really effect him much. Unfortunately after developing a condition where's she's slowly losing feeling in his hind legs and after two bouts of Old Dog Syndrome I had to come to terms with the fact that he might not make it to 16 as I had hoped/expected. It's taken a lot of work for his body to adjust to the changes and for us to figure out how to best help him but right now we've got the hang of it. We lift his waist for him if he needs up stairs and we've built a grippy ramp for him outside. He's more prone to accidentally poop indoors or in inconvenient places but we have tile floor so it's a minor annoyance. We give him much shorter walks now and we put booties on his hind paws because he can drag them and they'll bleed and we use a strap to give him additional stability in his hips. Before he could walk around the entire village in rain or snow.

When "Ace" took the lead in the walk, I was like he's gonna be part of this family now. So happy I was correct! 🐾 I adopted a senior cat from my cities shelter. Have had her for two yrs now. She 12yrs young and feisty as ever. After losing my other sidekick, who I raised from a kitten until he was 13, it was the best decision. I didn't have the heart to train another kitten. I was still grieving from losing my dear humbug. She fit right in and made herself at home.

What an incredible woman, heart and soul. I'm glad such an amazing dog gets to be with her!
Ace is adorable and deserves to get a loving caring home for the rest of his days. God bless you lady for adopting that sweet dog.
In my heart I believe this was the best thing for Ace. We know nothing of his previous life but when you're dropped off at age 19, I think it's safe to assume that he's better off now than whenever he was before. He gets tons of of comforting cuddles & plenty of play time with a whole new friendly fur-fam!! I believe Ace is experiencing a love like he's never known before & I pray these last years are the best of his life 💖🐾
Blessings to Ace's adoptive Fur Momma 🙏 You make the world a better place🌞
i think he was well treated before. he is in amazing health for 19years!! His temperament is great and he is well balanced. this dog was probably let go by elderly person or some other reason they could no longer care for him. I know someone who has to give up their dog due to work/living arrangements, it happens and its no ones fault. its better thn letting them lose to fend for themselves as many do
I love foster fails!! Bless you lovely lady, you knew he was meant to be with you forever! Bet Ace knew it all along! I was happy when you said there were many applications, but started crying when you said Ace was yours.
So happy to see Ace again. I remember hoping she would adopt him when I watched the first video about her fostering him. This makes me so happy to see Ace's happy face spending his final years with a wonderful mom and siblings.
He's a happy boy! Leader of the pack! Still wagging, walking, playing like the pup he is in his head! Ageless, hopeful, and handsome!
"It was so worth it..... bc now you're my boy."
Such a sweet, pure, lady.
19? That is amazing. Thank you for adopting him.
I thought only small dogs lived that long. That’s truly amazing.
Handsome dog! 19 years old still going strong!
I love how she’s introducing him to everything!😊😊😊
Bonnie do you realize the size of your heart??HHHHHHHHHUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEE! HUGE!
Thank you Sweet Lady! for giving Ace love and peace to enjoy the rest of his life.
I am crying and happy at the same time
Me too!! 😢😮😖😭
😊
Me too 🥰
When you said is this going to be my 1st Foster failure. The answer is yes. I love it. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
She is the cutest thing ever
The lady that adopted the dog?
I don't even want to think about what this dog has been through for nineteen years. That's almost his entire life. I hope he gets to have many years in his forever home with this wonderful lady.
I'm so glad she kept him. I felt so sad thinking he just got comfortable and would be moving again at his age. I'm so glad she adopted him and it going to be there for him through his final days. He deserves it
Aww, that’s so sad that he never got adopted for so many years, he’s such a beautiful dog💔
He was surrendered at 19 years of age. Who could surrender a 19yr old dog? Its heartbreaking
Hello Hi he had a home for 19 years
Ashley Nicole 💯agree with you!
@@ashleynicole3499: Hell yeah 😖, why should you do that. I really don't understand people sometimes 😔
@Smileyrie James: That's possible, but little more explanation in the video, would be better. So at least why.
Senior Dogs need love too... ❤️
Damn he’s 19 and I’m 19 now. Take care of Ace y’all.🥺✌️
He's a year older than me..
Yeah he’s been in that shelter a long time. I hope they take good care of him ✌️
he's 9 years older than me
slipshodpluto Damn you got a long road ahead of you man 👨. Do what you like regardless of what people says.✌️
Love foster fails. So so happy for ace!!. Cried many happy tears 😭 was scared for a min that he wasn't going to get to keep this wonderful woman & his 2 fur siblings and then she kept him and I could breath again. Best of everything to all of them. Thanks💕🐾
Kay UK..London....This was so lovely...I do not know how he was given up in the twilight of his life...that is not loving a dog...This wonderful lady is giving him..I am sure the true love he deserves...this is why whatever happened before is now forgotten....Wonderful story............I am moving to Pembroke in Narberth Wales..to a cottage with massive gardens..one being a secret garden...I live alone..only one son.of 35...I am 75 so cannot take young rescue dogs...but can take senior dogs....I cannot wait to start my new family!!!......This story and this kind lady has convinced me It will be a very happy family..........
Poor bubba. Hope he lives out the rest of his life in comfort.
I was hoping Ace would end up as a foster fail. That lady is a perfect Mom!
I’m so happy that Ace was adopted by the right loving person. He is plenty of energy even with his 19 years !! 👍😊
Love him !! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love these adoption stores about older dogs. Thank you to all the people adopting older dogs and giving them the life they deserve of lots of love and safety. Special people adopt older dogs.
The world needs more people like this. Any who put thumbs down are completely devoid of heart and consciousness!
I saw his video when he picked out his first toy. To see him in a home brings me to tears. Thank you Dodo for sharing with us this wonderful update on Ace and for letting us know that Ace has finally found his furever home.
When "Ace" took the lead in the walk, I was like he's gonna be part of this family now. So happy I was correct! 🐾
I adopted a senior cat from my cities shelter.
I’m literally crying right now! Thank you so much for taking this boy!!
It's hard to believe he's so active at 19! I didn't think dogs lived that long but congratulations for getting such a sweet boy. I've had 2 failed fosters and though they are gone now I will always miss them. Thank you for taking him in. Win win.
What an incredible loving woman to foster a senior dog like Ace and then to decide to permanently ADOPT him, just made my day!!!!😍 What a geat human being she is!!!!! Sending her and all her fur babies lots of Love And Light!!!!!💓💓💓
*That was no foster failure.*
Ace found his home and is the Ace of his pack.
*That's all that counts.*
He is so cute! I'm so happy he gets a happy home ❤️🏡
What an amazing senior puppy.
Thank you for not giving him up and adopting him. He is a lucky dog to have your love.
Senior animals are the best pets ever
Thank you for adopting Ace..
There are truly angels amongst us. I am so happy to see him in a loving caring home. He's a handsome guy and he deserves all the love in the world. Thank you for adopting him I'm sure there's not a day the goes by that you aren't glad you did. Love & blessings to you.
I’ve seen videos about this dog before, I’m so happy he’s got a home.
Awww , Ace! So happy you found a loving home, you handsome boy. What a kind lady with a big heart. Bless you both❤❤🤗
aw he’s such a go getter for life! For 19 as well, wow that’s amazing! he’s perfect.
Awww, Ace is really quite obsessed with toys. He made my heart melt when he first entered his foster home with a toy in his mouth. There is always a toy involved wherever he goes. He certainly doesn't act like a 19 year old but rather like a puppy. He is adorable and I'm not surprised he became a foster fail! Lol
Thanks so much for adopting ace! He is such a sweet heart.
I love senior dogs 🌞

Seeing him wag his tail brings joy to all of us :)
Cheers to the best foster failure. From the moment Ace walked into your house it already looked like it was meant to be. So happy fur Ace and his siblings and their Mom for doing a wonderful thing. Happy Valentine's Day to y'all. ❤❤❤❤
Oh my gosh , I cried and laughed the whole video...... The way she was touring him all over the house and the way he was following her, it was priceless to watch ❤️🤗
What a LOVELY lady!!!!!!......... I'm so happy for the two of you, and happy that you becane a foster failure this time, ......he needed exactly a loving person like you and you needed another sweetheart in your life😃😃

OH!!! i'm so happy for Ace and this is why I have as yet to foster. I will be a foster fail probably every time lol.
This was the right decision he found his forever home and won this woman's heart. This is where he needed to be and at 19 years old bless that lady for taking him in.
Man, I love this woman. Shes happy...fulfilled. dogs are taken care of...and they are taking care of her too. Best of luck Ace. Still got so much pep.

God Bless You Sweetie for keeping him. Everyone needs a wonderful place to enjoy the rest of their life in!!!
God bless her heart 🙏💓 amazing woman
Ace has so much energy for a 19-year old dog! It's fantastic that he found a forever home and gets to live out his remaining golden years in happiness. Thank you for all that you do. I'm a proud workplace campaign supporter of the Sacramento SPCA👍
What a wonderful person!
