@@IスペクターI Do You mean "bad dog"? No, in the video Bruce was so Grateful & Happy to finally see this beautiful dog adopted & in a beautiful home that Captain deserved. THEY WERE BOTH WAITING FOR EACH OTHER & DESERVE EACH OTHER= KARMA...
It really is sad to see, although I suppose it is better than being in a family that don't feel they can take care of the dog correctly. At least they are brave enough to say that to the shelter people's faces, rather than abandoning a dog on the streets
The people who returned Captain probably didn't realize that this breed is a high-energy working dog, not a lap dog. Great Pyrenese tend to bark at night and if not allowed to get plenty of exercise, can be destructive. They probably just saw a pretty fluffy white dog without understanding the behavior of the breed.
I feel for the dog. My little pit spent 1 year at the shelter and got returned 3 times before I came along . It's been over a year now , and we're happy as two peas in a pod. It was rough for a little bit, but everything worked out just fine and he's got me as his forever dad. :) (if anyone cares, I have a few videos up with him)
My dog Athena was returned twice because she was "too friendly" :( she's a staffie so I guess they expected her to be aggressive but she's full of love.
*Soul Flicker* Why would a sweet pup get returned for being to friendly? I really don’t understand people! I haven’t ever owned a dog yet but I’m hoping to some day!
you seem like a really fun dude haha! my grandfather also loves dogs, but he didn't have one since the last german shorthaired pointer passed away when i was around 2-3 years old. he loves when my dog comes around, she always lays on his legs :)
When Captain’s new human choked when saying that Captain had found a forever home, that really got me . I have 2 rescue dogs that carry a lot of their sad past with them which can make things difficult at times, but it doesn’t bother me one bit. That’s who they are, and I love them so, so, much though I choke up sometimes when I think of the years that they weren’t with me, and all of our lives are happier now that we’ve found each other.
Same here! My fur baby came to me through a dog rescue organization who confiscated dogs being used as bait for dog fighting. He is a Jack Russell mix who still hates all other dogs despite 10 years of me trying to socialize him. But that’s ok. We are happy being a one fur baby family.
Many blessings to you and your adoptees! Yes, sometimes there are remnants of the past that come up, but reassuring and love bring them back to the present quickly, and they are so happy and grateful for their forever families it happens less and less. We have 7 house rabbits and 2 fosters all rescues, and fostering takes a special kind of love. You love them as your own, but always with the reserve knowing that they will leave you someday. Bless all those who love and care for animals, and especially fosters, because they pour so much love and care into a being that belongs with another. Selfless.
At first I was thinking how nice it was that he was adopted into such a beautiful, large home. But when his new dad started to cry while talking about adopting him, I saw that the real reward was the bond they started and the care. ❤️
When I was about 8 yrs old our new neighbours had a Pyrenees calles Natja. I would go next door after school and play with her. One day - not even 2 weeks since starting playing with her, I stepped into a hole - and broke my ankle and could not move. It qould be abother 2 hours untill the neighbours will be home - or my mum will miss me at the dinner table. (It was in the 1970 ' 😁) Natja literally stood over me and barked like crazy - a weird high shrieking bark - untill a neighbour further down the road took notice and came to see what was going on. She growled at the neighbour at first but after speaking nicely to her, she relaxed and allowed him to help me. She literally was my best friend for the next 6 years, untill she passed from old age.
I'm thankful the people who returned him, did so when they realized they couldn't handle him. So many people out there would've just tied him up outside an dlet him live the rest of his life like that. Bringing him back helped him to eventually find his true forever home.
I'm glad we're mentioning this too! On so many videos/posts like this I see people shaming the previous owners who return the dogs instead of accepting that it is okay to realize you can't take care of a specific dog. That dog found the life of his dreams because people were responsible enough to return him!
I'm glad someone else had this perspective too. As a vet nurse I saw this so much, people who had breeds they had no business keeping and the dog suffering as a result. If it's not a member of your family, be kind enough to set them free again and give someone else a chance to love them... As a side note, ALWAYS adopt from shelters. In Australia they are overflowing and many good bois & girls are being put to sleep needlessly because their is no room. If you want a dog, there are so many waiting for you who need your help at your local rescue shelter...
Seriously Bruce, you got down on the ground like a 20 year old! Captain said this is the one & he wants a retirement buddy. Ooo LaLa. The doxie had that look, why are we all not in the car & going home. Everybody is going to stay fit with that backyard. Bruce you should start your own RUclips channel: Captain’s Family. Captain knew he found his forever home and dad when his new dad laid down on the grass with him 😊 There was a reason why the other homes weren't a match. Kismet is real.
O Captain! My Captain! It was sad when he got turned back after three months. So glad a nice couple adopted him and are accepting of him. It was so sweet when Bruce got on the floor with him.
It's a blessing he got returned, if he hadn't he wouldn't have ended up with the family that was 'just right for him'. Even if those original adopters didn't know it, by returning him, he's perfect family had a chance to adopt him.
Our Pyrenees/Lab, Luther, passed away five months ago. He could have been Captain's twin. As far as Captain being returned, I bet it was because he's an escape artist. Keeping a GP fenced in is hard. They are amazing dogs. Good luck, Captain. Rest easy, Luther.
Escape artists, huh? That would explain my niece's puppy. He's part Great Pyrenees (and mini Australian shepherd, fun mix) and had to be kept in a kennel after a medical procedure (I think he had an infection or something) so he wouldn't injure himself. Thing is, he kept climbing the wall and getting into the main part of the barn. Keeping him in the house wasn't an option because he'd get into the trash cans at night.
@@brigidtheirish I wish your niece the best of luck - you will _never_ pull one over on an Aussie. They will outsmart you at every turn. I hope he's feeling better!

Rich or poor the dog has a great home now with lots of room and people who are able to be with the dog round the clock. If I could be that person I would. I have to work my a*s off and theres nothing wrong with that but for a dog with potential issues..... he is a lucky dog. My mom's dog kept getting returned (4 times) because she would bark when other adopters would go to work. Mom is retired and here all the time and the dog is the best dog I have ever been around. If I could choose.... I would choose all the time in the world to spend with my pets.... I'm not apologizing for that.

When Bruce almost cried at the end, I felt that. My parents rescued two Great Pyrenees, Cosmo and Sadie, and they're affectionate and beautiful. People usually underestimate the amount of space these huge dogs needs, and are put off by their loud barks. They do best in male-female pairs, and are an absolute joy! They have such great personalities and Captain seems like such a sweetie. So glad he found such a wonderful forever home!
This story is really sweet. Here’s hoping everyone lives a long enjoyable retirement. It’s a perfect place for a big dog. It’s pretty cool to live in a society that puts this amount of effort into adopting animals. Makes me proud.
It's a testament to shelter adoptions. There are 3.1 MILLION dogs in any given year, at shelters. Adoptions like this, happen because folks stop shopping and start adopting :)
Captain really landed on his feet there. You can see how loved he is. Brue obviously has a very special bond with him. Many they have many, many years of daventures and love together xxx
Pyrs are very challenging, and if he was raised outside transitioning him to a house dog would be incredibly difficult for someone. Also, they bark constantly, are almost impossible to train, and shed a small dog's volume of fur on a daily basis because they're double-coated. They're my favorite breed, hands down, but they're not for the faint of heart or someone who hasn't done their research and just thinks they're getting a pretty dog.
hair, barking, independent nature. this dog is a good choice to protect their other dog from predators when they are out. I hope the new owners know that the need to guard defenseless animals is what is in this breed's dna.
There are a lot of people who have this weird idea that they want a dog and have no idea of how to communicate with a dog. In that case, the bigger the dog, the bigger the problem. At least hat could be the reason.
@@meredithcarroll6209 - Prys are not impossible to train. They are extremely bright and require a lot of time when it comes to training. I had a pry growing up, he was so well trained on heel, that at 4 years old I could walk him around the neighborhood, with no worries about being pulled. Our pry also was not a big barker, he rarely barked at all. Many of those traits depend on the individual dog.
@@makmcdermott good for you. Our current Pyr knows how to sit for any treats and recognizes the word "cookie" despite six years of consistently trying to train her. Though to be fair, she has also recently (finally) learned the word "bed," she knows the word crate, and her internal clock for when I put her out to do her business runs like it was Swiss made, down to the minute. My point still stands that Great Pyreness are *never* going to be trainable like a Golden Retriever and anyone looking to adopt one needs to know that going in.
Bruce choking up at the end was so heartwarming. You know these people are loving and any animal they have is going to be spoiled and loved beyond belief.

What are you suggesting? Secret Service?
AGREED 😤
I’m pretty sure he can take very good care of himself.
*Secret service shows up at his house*
This man: "Uh, what can I do for ya gentlemen?"
"Sir, we are here to guard the Nation's most valuable assests: you and Captain."
"But I don't think we're gonna need ya to..."
"Sir, the people have spoken. Must protecc at all cost."
I love that even tho these people clearly have plenty of disposable income they still chose to rescue instead of going to a breeder
Yes! ❤️
Glad he was returned cause now he's got the family and home he deserves.
Bruce : " You are adopted & you have a home. I'm trying to say it without choking up"
Captain: "My thoughts exactly Dad"
Bruce, What a TRULY BEAUTIFUL & BIG HEARTED MAN YOU ARE!!! SO HAPPY CAPTAIN WAS "RETURNED" TO YOU & YOUR FAMILY
BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL & HERE TOO...
You could see he meant that, just by looking at his face. He was just about to cry. Such a sweet old man, he now has a perfect furry companion
Well said!
So I guess it makes him bat dog ?

No, in the video Bruce was so Grateful & Happy to finally see this beautiful dog adopted & in a beautiful home that Captain deserved. THEY WERE BOTH WAITING FOR EACH OTHER & DESERVE EACH OTHER= KARMA...

It's so sad when dogs get returned...however, it appears it happened because he was meant to be with you. God bless
It really is sad to see, although I suppose it is better than being in a family that don't feel they can take care of the dog correctly. At least they are brave enough to say that to the shelter people's faces, rather than abandoning a dog on the streets

Funny pets and people...
Mutual love...
I agree 💯
Damn Captain is rich now 🤪 but besides that so happy he got adopted. Every single dog in this world deserves love.
Whats your ig beautiful?
@@handsomest1 Ew dude stop
Not going to lie.. I was a little jealous when I saw the couple adopting him.. That house was gorgeous.haha
I am so grateful for people like these adopters who just allow the dog to be himself, and really love him as he is. This is what happiness is.
I feel for the dog. My little pit spent 1 year at the shelter and got returned 3 times before I came along . It's been over a year now , and we're happy as two peas in a pod. It was rough for a little bit, but everything worked out just fine and he's got me as his forever dad. :) (if anyone cares, I have a few videos up with him)
I wanna see!!!
Yay thanks for letting us know I just subscribed and am going to watch! I love animals!
you seem like a really fun dude haha! my grandfather also loves dogs, but he didn't have one since the last german shorthaired pointer passed away when i was around 2-3 years old. he loves when my dog comes around, she always lays on his legs :)
okay, but seriously, i wanna get adopted by bruce and brigitte as well. 😄♥️

Thank you, and I love you.
Selfless.
Love how Bruce got down on the ground with Captain and crawled along together like little kids playing.🥰
Ohhh they found each other ;)
At first I was thinking how nice it was that he was adopted into such a beautiful, large home. But when his new dad started to cry while talking about adopting him, I saw that the real reward was the bond they started and the care. ❤️
Yes yes, its always love❤️
When I was about 8 yrs old our new neighbours had a Pyrenees calles Natja.
I would go next door after school and play with her.
One day - not even 2 weeks since starting playing with her, I stepped into a hole - and broke my ankle and could not move.
It qould be abother 2 hours untill the neighbours will be home - or my mum will miss me at the dinner table. (It was in the 1970 ' 😁)
Natja literally stood over me and barked like crazy - a weird high shrieking bark - untill a neighbour further down the road took notice and came to see what was going on.
She growled at the neighbour at first but after speaking nicely to her, she relaxed and allowed him to help me.
She literally was my best friend for the next 6 years, untill she passed from old age.
What a beautiful story!❤️🐶❤️
Awww, Lovely story!
That's so precious! You're gonna make me cry. 😅
@@mindyg7064 Some people need specific breeds for specific reasons and can't adopt from shelters.
Seriously Bruce, you got down on the ground like a 20 year old! Captain said this is the one & he wants a retirement buddy. Ooo LaLa. O Captain!
THIS LINE FROM DEAD POET'S SOCIETY MADE MY ALMOST CRY WHILE WATCHING THIS VIDEO
Our Pyrenees/Lab, Luther, passed away five months ago. He could have been Captain's twin. As far as Captain being returned, I bet it was because he's an escape artist. Keeping a GP fenced in is hard. They are amazing dogs. Good luck, Captain. Rest easy, Luther.
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s so hard. Thanks for your comment too.
Keeping him in the house wasn't an option because he'd get into the trash cans at night.

i love when they get adopted by rich retired people XD genuinely know they are going to be SPOILED. as deserved.
No, that doesn’t make sense. There’s cruelty within all types of people, from rich to poor. Just as poor people can love their animals!
@@drwoo6090 i agree, I saw poor people surrender their dog in tear because they can not afford health care and expensive diet food when their dog get sick. We need people that care for the animal, rich or poor is still better than owner who doesnt give a f about their animal.
Yeah, I want to know what that couple did for a living so I too can one day adopt cute doggies and share my vineyard estate lol
I'll shock the people in the comments here with this one: I'm poor and I spoil and love my pets and spend all my time with them. You're missing my point. Don't waste your time commenting if it's that.
Yeah I bet Captain got returned for being too destructive. It's easier to replace all the stuff these types of dogs destroy when you're rich! So it seems like a good fit to me. Lol.
Great Pyrenees are great in big open areas to protect their people

I sense double meaning on this one..
Are rich retired people not some of the best type to offer a dog, who has had some problems, a special home?
Rich or poor the dog has a great home now with lots of room and people who are able to be with the dog round the clock. If I could be that person I would. I have to work my a*s off and theres nothing wrong with that but for a dog with potential issues..... he is a lucky dog. My mom's dog kept getting returned (4 times) because she would bark when other adopters would go to work. Mom is retired and here all the time and the dog is the best dog I have ever been around. If I could choose.... I would choose all the time in the world to spend with my pets.... I'm not apologizing for that.
Captain is adjusting to Mansion life very well. He has a courtyard how many doggies can say that. I'm so glad all the adoptees returned him back cause now he's living his best life with the best family. What a great dog.

When Bruce almost cried at the end, I felt that. My parents rescued two Great Pyrenees, Cosmo and Sadie, and they're affectionate and beautiful. Captain really landed on his feet there. You can see how loved he is. Brue obviously has a very special bond with him. Many they have many, many years of daventures and love together xxx
hard to understand why he got returned, he seems like a sweet dog.
I’m so happy for Captain his new family seem fantastic! Their home is a beautiful as their souls.
Not sure if I’m happier for Bruce or Captain 🥺
