to see a full grown wolf run to you with not food in mind but love must be an incredible experience and I am envious
Wolves never attacked humans for food ! Wrong misconception about them ! They only attack if you scared them or posed a threat in some kind of way ! Very rare wolves ever attacked humans ! Not like tigers or other predators !
It must be magic to be loved and trusted by a wolf. I envy you.
German Shepherds are pretty much the same... but it is A LOT of work. They need to be exercised a lot and the males can be quite a handful (uncontrollable for some), unless you are a physically strong person with a lot of patience and ability to train. My 4 year old crazy shepherd is a love, so much like these wolves that the common ancestry and common personality qualities are obvious. My neighbor's crazy Shepherd is sweet and loving in the same way (and also crazy in a seriously unmanageable way).
All animals saved and raised by humans should be allowed to choose if they wish to stay in their human family or leave.
Murdering them if they don't want to lead a life according to rules and regulations is demonic.
Each soul has it's own path and stupid humans should not dare to interfere with their choices.
Speaking about saved animals which really need human help and intervention.
After watching many release cases , I have come to the conclusion that many of those "happily" released must have become food to predators as they were alone and had no skills to survive.
Only an animal can lift up emotionally any human. Pure love, no crap.
Yeah, they don't know what a lawyer is.
... and then I had a son !
YES...there is crap to clean.
100%. There's nothing like the bond between species.
Well said Bobby!
Many years ago I had a half wolf, half shepherd named Kino. Most loyal, protective canine I’ve ever encountered. So special. Forever grateful for the experience
Thats such a cool name!

Oh Kino is such a great name. Have you ever heard of the light novel/anime Kino's Journey? It's about a traveler named Kino who stays 3 days in every country they visit. Very neat short stories that make you get wanderlust.
These people are 100% dedicated to taking care of animals. We should all be happy that there are people like this. Credit to them.
Absolutely.👍
My neighbors raised a wolf since she was days old. She lived next door to me for 3 years. She was sweet, non aggressive, kind and so smart. I really fell in love with her. They recently moved and I miss her so much. She was never a danger to them, my dogs or me. She ran around their yard and never caused any trouble. What a wonderful, majestic animal like this one featured.
I have seen what can happen when unqualified people get wolves and it’s not always good.
Thank you for educating people about wolves and giving wolves and wolf dogs sanctuary .

@@III............ yes, true, wolves are lovely, and I cherish them so much, anyway, how are you doing today ?
To have the true love of a Wolf has to be the highest honour a person could reach. What a beautiful friendship.
Anyone can do it as long as they treat the wolf right. They get along just fine with us humans. Where do you think dogs came from?
it wasnt a wolve, it wasnt raised as one
Wolves are the most majestic, beautiful, intelligent, loyal animals on the planet. And the most misunderstood 💕Thankyou for all you do 💕
They're fairly intelligent, but far from the most intelligent.
And in terms of beauty, cats beat them. 🐈😻
I teared up when Dunbar's wolf buddy was killed in "Dances With Wolves". Don't think neighbors would love the yodeling.
I wonder how people like you survive from day-to-day, because you clearly have the mentality of a small child.
@ Shooosh troll, you're making a show of yourself again
Dazzling wolves. Dazzling compassionate people. Thank you for rescuing, for respect, care for and truly love these magnificent animals. They have the right to live happy lives. All beings have. What you do is beyond words. Greetings from Brazil.
It upsets me so immensely when i see those so called hunters in states like Montana that literally passed a law to ERADICATE WOLVES
standing in front of like 10 dead wolves
Grinning and having killed them with an AR style
This only started when Dump removed them from Endangered list.
Great comment! I agree. Greetings from South Africa.
One beautiful, well-written comment! Thank you.
You are right 💯! These are intelligent, magnificent animals. They are apex predators that balance out the ecosystem and keep prey at normal population numbers. So, truly wolves are essential for the health of habitats. Not only that, they are such incredible creatures. I truly find them fascinating. 💕 greetings from the U.S. 🇺🇸
Greetings from the USA 🖐
GOD BLESS these people for adopting these beautiful animals!!
Why do You think there is a difference? people are animals, no?

@JohnGrandline yup
It always amazes me how love and friendship can transcend species.
We are a large family dude. We are made of the same materials and our brains at least in basic things like love , trust etc worlk in the same way.
Your words are so profound yet absolutely the truth. I’m so thankful there are so many wonderful people like this couple, they are the best of us.
more so is the hate , that is so common between us humans, that amazes me
I have a shepherd-wolf hybrid and you summed his personality up perfectly when you said "He doesn't want to be the boss of anyone but he doesn't want anyone to be the boss of him." He's the kindest most gentle dog I've ever had. Just not terribly obedient... still when he does his own thing it's usually nothing bad. He's got a conscience of his own.
It’s funny how sometimes the smarter dogs have a disobedient streak. My American akita would sometimes ignore what I told him, like if I told him to lie down when there are new visitors in the house he would continue to stand alert and ready to protect me. I’m pretty sure he just thought he knew what was best for me at the time haha, who am I to keep a personal protection dog from protecting his person?
Weird, my Shiba Inu has this same attitude. Shibas must just be mini wolves confirmed?
Just like in The Incredibles: “it got smart enough to wonder why it had to take orders.”
Our late rescue dog from Romania was like that. He'd been a feral dog for all his life until he was rounded up and sent to a kill shelter, where he was rescued by a wonderful woman who brought him over to the UK and a few months later he became our dog. We then found out he was at least 11 years old. For the few years that we had him he was a gentle soul, but very independent. He would not do something if he didn't want to. We said goodbye to him in April 🥲 Edited to add that he was a border collie cross.
You know, I identified strongly with that statement myself. I don't like bossing people around, but I DEFINITELY don't like being bossed around.
"It's painful being loved by you!"
What a beautiful thing to say in this context.
*Gratitude is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see*
Rescued animals know they are saved and pledge a life debt of trust and love to their rescuers, especially canines like dogs and wolves.
In'sh.!
Altruism is unequivocally understood and practiced by more species than merely humans.
This reckoning and acknowledgment was something I'd long hoped for to occur among humans during my lifetime, and I see the beginnings of it, finally. 💚

With all the crap that's going on in this country, in the world really, these types of videos bring me pure joy. Thank you ❤️
You are so correct! Sometimes I just have to turn off the news and watch Dr. Jeff on Animal Planet. Good people like him actually used to be quite common in the US. I grew up in America, but came here recently. I miss America.
I too take my daily dose of "vitamin gratitude", seeing the good that human's do - is the counter weight I need to see. We all can do something in our own way - whether it's supporting, donating or volunteering and when your helping vulnerable animal's the reward's are multiplied! These folk's are among those who lead by example.
Agreed, Zoe R.
These magnificent creatures, poisoned, shot, reviled by us share our planet.
They do not wantonly kill their own kind out of whim or for gain. That is our particular "talent"

@mikejohn0088 God owns this world not WEF.
WRONG--- Scripture states clearly that the Earth is controlled by the god of this world until the Second Coming.
You have not read this reality of what occurred with Original Sin.
god might own earth but he gave humans free will, and most of them decided for satan / satanic behavior instead of god, which is why that negative WEF-scenario sounds probable... there´s still time to turn the tides, tho... god always forgives if people find out they are doing wrong and regret it!@@TheMan-my1nw
Love this. I used to be owned by a Wolf dog. He was the best dog I had the privilage to be family...he loved children far more than adults. He was so sweet, never actually growled at anyone...just thunder in his chest...his howl was beautiful...I miss him so much. Bear at full grown was 6' and 165 lbs....a gentle giant.
😂😂😂 when my friend say I am my dogs human rather than he my dog I always , very enthusiasticly, deny it.... but deep down I know 😂.
Also, we met a wolfdog in the park once and I was allowed to pet him, his lady kept saying how he is not aggressive. That felt weird because why should he be aggressive?
Sorry to hear yours past, but, I'm sure, you had a beautiful time with him 😊

What a beautiful relationship Steve has with this male wolf. I also have loved wolves since being a child, I feel they are my spirit animal. Gorgeous animals!
That's whenever I see such old horror films like "The Woflman," I think that Europe/UK has all the folklore twisted. The problem is that humans don't like food rivals at all. So they do everything in their power to vilify an animal that is competing for their food and territory, and possibly even killed their family members (I can see humans taking this VERY personal, hence the revenge killings. Look at all the tiger slaughters in Asia, and not just for their fur). Also, from a logical perspective, "if we don't put down this animal that killed some people, they have no fear of humans and will see us as food."
Look how the indigenous tribes in Mexico vilified the owl (La Lechuza), not only because of its mysterious, "creepy looks," but also because the owls were killing their poultry and other small farm animals. Seriously, we do not like competition from other domineering predators.
God bless you for what your doing for our four legged brothers & sisters these animals are the perfect example of family & loyalty.
Thank you Steve and Paula for the work you do.
How incredibly beautiful!
God bless you for sharing as well as teaching 🙏
Wow, they are all beautiful gorgeous animals.
I love wolves too. One day, on the way to work, a huge, beautiful wolf crossed the highway in front of me. Just seeing him lifted my spirit all day. Then, a couple days later, I saw his body on the same highway. He had been hit. I sobbed all the way home. Got a shovel, and a friend. We came back and buried him. I felt so awful for quite awhile. Such a loss of a majestic animal.
omg that is such a tragic story. I can imagine how wonderful it was seeing the beautiful wolf for the first time and how you were impacted. To then return and see the wolf dead, knowing he had suffered and was senselessly gone- it must have ripped your heart out. It would have mine.
That’s so sad. I have loved wolves for fifty years. My grandparents lived in Alaska and I spent quite a few summers there and one winter. I never saw any wolves but I did see a lot of other wildlife. There were not any wolf packs to be known close to where we were-Kenai. Where did you see that wolf? I know that a number of wolves are now living in a number of areas in the lower 48. ❤
That's so sad. :(
I say it again: Fuck cars and fuck the car infrastructure that kills majestic animals like wolves.
Perhaps the wolf was teaching drivers to slow down. There have been birds that suddendly appeared in front of my car, almost hit my fender or windowshield, and flew off - it must mean to pay more attention while driving.

Thank you for touching on this very important topic. Wolves and wolfdogs "stay with you because they care about you and trust you" this is golden wisdom for many. You will not "train" a wolf or wolfdog but you can teach them through love and trust.
They are extremely social animals, but they don't have the built in relationship most dogs have with humans. Dogs adapt to the humans around them, can read our emotional and language cues,, Wolves can slot in, but remain wolves in everything and don't have that knack at reading us dogs tend to have and none of the restraint of dogs, so they get pushy with food and don't sit still and generally don't behave like the dogs most people are used to. They are still wild animals, but clever and social enough to accept us around them.
He is just adorable

Thank you for rescuing the wolves. Also thank you for educating us about these beautiful wolves!!! ❤
I remember visiting a wolf sanctuary in Colorado some years ago. It was very special. The people that ran the sanctuary told us we would need to stand outside the huge enclosure before entering to be with the wolves. If any of them growled at us, we would not be allowed in...I kind of knew I wouldn't be growled at due my love for them. When we got to go in, we stood on a tri-level wooden platform. We were told the wolves would then enter and come up to us and we were to remain still, not looking into their eyes. I remember smiling with my eyes closed the whole time and one of them came up and "sniffed" me before walking off. These animals are so wise and I was honored to be in their presence for a day. Beautiful video.

Thank you for protecting these beautiful animals! I was 8 and half months pregnant and my ex left me out in the woods figuring I wouldn't make it back. I would not have had it not been for what I thought was a Huskey dog. I kept saying go home, go home boy and when he started walking I followed. He allowed me to catch up and walked beside me all the way out of the woods to a logging road.
He sat down looking up the road and finally I could hear a large truck coming. He stayed with me until the truck pulled to a stop about ten feet away. I went to bend down and praise him for his help, he was gone. While driving he told me he couldn't believe what he saw, I was alive and unharmed with a wolf sitting beside me on the road!

The wolf social bond is inescapably family oriented. Their respect and honor of the elderly is something humans should embrace as well.
uh. It's not like wolves have Nursing Homes. That "respect" you're talking about in nature is either getting left behind when the wolf no longer can hunt or keep up, or being killed by the pack when fighting for breeding rights. I don't know what Disney-esq story you've been reading, but the life of an elder wolf is the worst time of their lives, if they get to live it at all. Which, honestly, getting killed during a hunt or from a packmate is a better death than starving because you can't catch anything to eat.
