I'm struggling to get that beauty ring off. I tried putting double sided tape on it to get extra grip. I even tried taking a flat head screw driver and a hammer to lightly tap it to get it loosened up to turn easier and the friggin thing won't budge. Any tips?
not all of them come off that way. mine has a ring you pull out from a small notch in the very bottom, where the set screw on this one is. you pull that, then the ring just slides out, its not threaded. i have seen alot of these style come loose, and guy put loctite or silicone in the threads. they are near impossible to get apart after that
@@dieselguy62 Starting to think I have the same problem. Ring won't spin and it looks like there's to small metal tabs on the inside of the bezzle near the light. How do you pull out a C clip through that small hole? I'm lost. Any advice is appreciated

I'm struggling to get that beauty ring off. I tried putting double sided tape on it to get extra grip. I even tried taking a flat head screw driver and a hammer to lightly tap it to get it loosened up to turn easier and the friggin thing won't budge. Any tips?
not all of them come off that way. mine has a ring you pull out from a small notch in the very bottom, where the set screw on this one is.
you pull that, then the ring just slides out, its not threaded. i have seen alot of these style come loose, and guy put loctite or silicone in the threads. they are near impossible to get apart after that
I have the same problem, did you finally get the ring off? I sprayed WD40 and I'm going to let it sit overnight...
@@dieselguy62 Starting to think I have the same problem. Ring won't spin and it looks like there's to small metal tabs on the inside of the bezzle near the light. How do you pull out a C clip through that small hole? I'm lost. Any advice is appreciated
@@michaelbrooks4710 you just squeeze those together and it comes out. It's a retaining ring set in a groove. That style is the easy one to get apart
Is it original headlight for harley ?
