Watching this before the second half of the next season. He really has helped the Wild. Having a tall long guy with an accurate shot who can play wing on any line and also step in and win draws when needed... That's an asset that every team would love to have.
both the tuftes and the scheids are some of the nicest families you can meet. my brother played with riley (and tanner, his brother) and ian. ian’s dad was my gym teacher in elementary school. really, super great and fantastic people.
Wish him the best of luck back home in Minnesota. I was so excited as a Penguins fan for him, but his luck with injuries was so unfortunate. He's a great guy and still has a ton of potential.
He's been an awesome depth piece back home. He kills penalties and wins key D-zone draws, and can help put the puck in the net when there's opportunity. Hope he gets back from his broken hand and is a key piece in this playoff push
Great to see another local boy join the Wild! Would love to add a few more, but it’s fun having Zach and Nick on the team. I’m excited to see the impact Nick will have this year. Great episode.
My first ever state tournament was 2010 and I remember seeing the super Langley kid and my dad telling me he was going to the gophers and me being a huge gophers fan I was immediately a fan. I have a stick and cards signed from his freshman college year and have been following him ever since
That haula rau and bjugstad team was and still is probably one of my all time favorite teams there was no doubt nick had the most raw talent in all of college hockey for a couple years
I also like how they gloss over how his uncle Scott is basically the Einstein of shooting and sticks and curves basically running Easton stick department until they were bought switch to a similar role at ccm
This was a strong episode of this show. Moving away from the day in the life was a great idea. Hats off to the Wild and their content groups.
I wish they'd redo some of the players that have the old style to get this perspective on them.
@@lediona3996 That would be cool. Maybe start another series and name it something else, like Call of the Wild
What a true Minnesotan beauty, looked up to him so much when I was a kid

Welcome to Oil Country Nick!
Love these shows! I hope each member of the wild gets their own episode. Great for their families and their memories
His size and unique skill set will keep him in the league for a long time.
